In today's corporate-driven football landscape, teams aim to maximize profits and competitiveness by investing heavily in player recruitment, scouting, and facilities. This pursuit of excellence often involves significant financial outlays, including lucrative contracts to attract promising talents. However, this approach doesn't always yield the expected results, as teams sign numerous players each year. To mitigate risks and enhance performance, football has increasingly turned to data-driven approaches, employing various metrics to assess player abilities, team strategies, and managerial impacts. The charging efficiency of an unmanned underwater vehicle (UUV) based on an inductive wireless charging system is greatly affected by the magnetic coupling mechanism. When the UUV and the underwater charging station are docked with a random rotation and axial misalignment, the coupling coefficient will decrease, which will result in the decrease of charging power and efficiency. In this paper, a squirrel cage magnetic coupler is proposed, which has a strong ability to against the axial misalignment and rotation misalignment, and the magnetic coupler is simple and easy to be manufactured. The squirrel cage magnetic coupler is a circumferential symmetrical structure composed of columnar magnetic core windings. With the proposed magnetic coupler, the magnetoresistance will change slightly when the UUV and the underwater charging station are docked with a rotation and axial misalignment, which will result in a stable coupling coefficient and high against misalignment performance. The performance of the proposed magnetic coupler is verified by the finite element simulation and experimental results. © 2023 IEEE.

The popularity and availability of UAV technologies have made industrial automation more flexible and easy to adopt. In this paper we develop a UAV navigation system for warehouse inventory inspection application. Based on the SLAM framework, a fusion scheme by integrating UWB positioning is proposed to achieve accurate and robust localization. In addition to the global planning, an obstacle avoidance algorithm based on fuzzy control and VFH is developed to generate locally smooth trajectories. The proposed techniques are verified with simulation and experiments in real-world environments. Using a commercially available drone modified with depth sensor and single-board computer, the results have demonstrated the feasibility and effectiveness of our method for collision-free path planning and obstacle avoidance in various application scenarios. © 2023 IEEE.

The Patient medical record monitoring using IoT based Biometrics and blockchain security system suggests an innovative strategy for patient monitoring of their health and disease that combines the Internet of Things (IoT) devices and blockchain technology through biometrics. The paper presents a proposed model of combine system architecture that uses IoT devices and biometrics system to collect patient health data and store it on hospital database and that data synchronized biometrics database which is used in system that is government data of Adhaar identification of patient data with a blockchain-based platform for secure and transparent sharing and analysis in the medical record of hospital and medical science. The proposed system architecture includes IoT devices such as smart wearable things such as smart watch, smart digital globs, digital face mask, smart goggles and sensors that collect patient health data and transmit it to a blockchain-based platform that is Ethereum node. The platform uses smart contracts to manage data access and sharing, ensuring that the patient data and information will be only shared to authorized person and parties. The platform also enables data analysis and machine learning algorithms to provide insights into patient health trends and enable early intervention in case of health issues. © 2023 IEEE.

The increasing use of e-assessment methods for computer science in higher education has led to a growing body of research on this topic. In this systematic literature review, we discuss various assessment types such as true or false questions, essay questions, interactive questions and performance-based assessments, and explore instructors' perspectives on the challenges and opportunities of e-assessment from 86 studies relevant to e-assessment. The review reveals that e-assessment offers numerous advantages, such as efficient grading and automated feedback, but presents unique challenges, such as ensuring academic integrity and providing personalized feedback. We also identify several assessment types typically used in e-assessment, including multiple-choice questions, coding exercises, and peer assessments. Overall, the findings of this study indicate that e-assessment is currently a topic of significant interest in the field of computer science in higher education.

Research into early data collection is often neglected, despite the growing focus on micro hyperspectral imaging technology in the medical field. Unfortunately, the data obtained from a single micro hyperspectral image is often limited in scope, making it hard to extract features and analyze spectral data of healthy cells. To address the above issues, a micro hyperspectral image stitching method based on RGB image layer feature localization and stitching is proposed, Extract the collected data into three RGB bands, perform feature extraction on them, calculate the horizontal offset, and complete the matching and stitching of microscopic hyperspectral images based on the coordinate position *** employing the mean filtering technique, data fusion can be accomplished, thus allowing for the stitching of hyperspectral images on the micro dimension for spectral information. © 2024 SPIE.

Skin cancer is a prevalent and potentially lifethreatening disease that requires early detection and timely treatment for improved patient outcomes. In this paper, we address the limitations of traditional approaches to human activity recognition in the context of skin cancer detection. These approaches heavily rely on manual feature extraction, which hinders the generalization model performance and often leads to resource-intensive solutions that are not suitable for smaller datasets or low-specification systems. Furthermore, existing studies primarily focus on classifying skin cancers as benign or malignant, neglecting the differentiation of various types of skin lesions. We propose a sequential model for skin cancer detection, using the VGG16 architecture as the backbone, with additional layers for multi-class classification of skin lesions. Our model aims to deliver an accurate and efficient skin cancer detection system capable of discerning seven distinct types of skin lesions. Implementing this model could lead to early diagnosis and timely treatment of skin cancer, resulting in improved patient outcomes and better public health. By utilizing the VGG16 architecture and emphasizing multiclass classification, our research offers a promising approach to overcome the limitations of manual feature extraction and resource-intensive models. © 2023 IEEE.

A computer vision system called Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) automates the process of reading licence plates from moving objects. Because to its capacity for precise and effective object recognition, deep learning-based object detection algorithms like YOLO (You Only Look Once) have recently demonstrated promising results in ANPR systems. This study suggests a YOLOv5 object detection model-based architecture for an ANPR system. The suggested architecture consists of a preprocessing stage for image enhancement, a YOLOv5 detector for licence plate detection, post-processing methods like NMS to fine-tune the detection results, an Optical Character Recognition (OCR) algorithm to extract characters from the licence plate, and a decoding stage to ascertain the actual plate number. Real-world datasets are used to assess the proposed design. and displays encouraging accuracy and productivity outcomes. The potential uses for the proposed ANPR system include traffic monitoring, parking management, and law enforcement. © 2023 IEEE.

In the shallow sea environment, array of small array elements may not be able to accurately locate targets due to undersampling. To address this issue, the paper proposed a method called sound field extension based on the reception of array of small array elements, which generates a virtual measurement field of a vertical array with lager number. The method utilizes the extended acoustic field for VTRM. This approach significantly improves the focusing and positioning performance of the TRM. The key implementation lies in estimating the normal wave mode coefficients from the acoustic field acquired by the short vertical line array. The paper uses the least squares method to estimate the mode coefficients. Experimental results demonstrate that compared to conventional time processing methods for an array of small array elements, the VTRM method using the a vertical array with a large number of elements can effectively enhance targeting and focusing performance of the short array. For array of small array elements with 21 elements, the SNR (Signal Interference to Noise Ratio) effectively improves by 4.32 dB. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper addresses the problem of finite-time fault detection (FD) for nonlinear system with output quantization and randomly occurring faults (ROFs). In order to reduce the burden of network transmission, the event-triggered scheme (ETS) is adopted to schedule the data transmission. The sufficient conditions are derived based on the Lyapunov stability theory to ensure that the residual dynamic system is finite-time stochastically stable (FTSS) and attains a satisfactory H8 performance. Moreover, the desired FD filter matrices are obtained by solving linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). In the end, a simulation is provided to verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the designed FD scheme. © 2023 IEEE.
