One of the most popular research topics in any field right now is the IoT stands for Internet of Things. Developing IoT applications absolutely requires standard real-time communication technologies. Research and development teams use the protocol to establish communication from one physical device to another. The current set of application layer protocols in the IoT is discussed in the paper to establish a trusted connection between objects and things, namely, MQTT, XMPP, CoAP, MQTT-SN, STOMP, AMQP, DDS, JMS, LwM2M, REST, HTTP/2, and Websocket. The purpose of this paper is to be helpful to researchers in choosing the application layer protocols for their domain. © 2023 IEEE.

Earthquake prediction is a highly challenging and complex task that has been the subject of scientific inquiry for many years. Even though we have learned a lot about earthquakes, it is still hard to predict them accurately and reliably. This is because earthquakes are complicated and hard to predict, and because our scientific knowledge and technology are not as advanced as they could be. There have been many ideas about how to predict earthquakes, such as using seismological and geophysical data,. But a lot of work still needs to be done to make a reliable and effective earthquake prediction system that can warn people in time and lessen the damage caused by earthquakes. In this work, an intelligent earthquake prediction model is developed using various machine learning algorithms. The seismological data of USGS is used for the model training and validation. The system has shown an prediction accuracy of 92.7% © 2023 IEEE.

This paper introduces an intelligent monitoring system aimed to minimize faults in industrial production for large vibrating screens. The system adopts high-sensitivity trivial acceleration sensors to capture complex raw vibration signals, which are analyzed to obtain vibration modes, allowing real-time online monitoring of the screen's condition. The research results indicate that the system can gather vibration parameters such as amplitude, frequency and direction angle at six testing points across three axes, and deliver prompt responses for swift fault identification, thereby reducing production expenses. The study contributes to the development of sophisticated monitoring techniques and precise control strategies for large vibrating screens, which can improve equipment service life and production efficiency. © 2023 IEEE.

According to the actual situation of volleyball training in China, a set of statistical information collection and analysis system for volleyball games is developed. The system collects and processes all kinds of technical and tactical information intelligently and interactively, so that competition data and technical and tactical data can be interrelated. This system can retrieve and process related videos according to technical and tactical indexes, so that the technical statistics and video display of athletes in training can be unified. Then the dynamics models of gravity, buoyancy, additional mass, motion resistance and Magnus lift in volleyball movement are established, and their motion trajectories are numerically simulated. An accurate calculating model of volleyball motion trajectory is established based on the analysis of initial velocity, angular velocity and vertical displacement. The correctness of the model is verified by numerical simulation. © 2023 IEEE.

Piezoelectric transducers can serve as sensors or actuators. This study aims to employ Bayesian theory for monitoring the health state of piezoelectric-bonded plate structure. Due to the characteristic of easy excitation, the excited mode shapes are regarded as damage indicators. Firstly, two-dimensional finite element method was used to simulate the interested undamaged and damaged states of structures. The simulation data are regarded as the known sample results. Then combing these data with measured data, the confidence probability of each damage condition can be calculated by Bayesian formula. In this paper, an aluminum plate clamped on one side is taken as an example, and self-coded program is used for the numerical simulation. The identification accuracy of this method under the conditions of zero noise, Gaussian noise and impact noise is considered. © 2023 IEEE.

Tamil is one of the world's earliest surviving languages, from which modern Indian scripts draw inspiration. However, there has been limited development of Optical Character Recognition techniques for Tamil characters. This paper describes a model for Tamil vowels-based Optical Character Recognition. The strategy seeks to utilise a CHFR feature extraction technique to extract three distinct feature vectors from the contours of each individual character's centroid. These feature vectors are condensed into a single vector before being sent to the CatBoost classifier for classification. Using the Optuna framework, hyperparameter optimisation and comparative analysis of existing models are performed. The proposed scheme is applied to a dataset of 6,972 handwritten samples evenly divided into 12 classes representing the vowels of the Tamil alphabet. The primary evaluation metric is accuracy, and 84.36% testing accuracy is observed. © 2023 IEEE.

With the development of big data, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence technology, how to infiltrate technical means into the daily management business of colleges and universities to achieve educational management informatization has gradually become a focus. Drone-based predictive structure analysis is a rapidly growing field that has the potential to revolutionize infrastructure and building inspection. In this review of the research, we give a general overview of how drones could increase the effectiveness and precision of structural analysis, particularly for keeping an eye on difficult-to-reach locations. The usage of drones for 3D mapping, inspection, and monitoring of diverse constructions, such as concrete buildings, bridges, tunnels, and dams. The investigations show that drone-based inspection can produce 3D models and high-resolution photos, allowing for remote monitoring and the early identification of possible problems. The findings show that drones may greatly boost infrastructure management's safety and effectiveness, making them an important tool for predictive structural research. © 2023 IEEE.

To reduce manual evaluation work and improve evaluation performance, this article develops an intelligent English translation evaluation system based on Internet automation technology. The system of English translation evaluation has been developed, including the translation of the data collection, the special data extraction module, the analysis model design, and the evaluation results module. A language was created for the evaluation of English translation, and the classification of some sentences and conjunctions was calculated by the model and influenced by the users' books and documents interpret the data. As a result of feature extraction, the similarity of key points is calculated and optimized BP network is used for calculation by particle optimization. Finally, a smart test of the English translation is used. According to the experimental results, the difference between the evaluation time of the system developed in this paper is smaller than that of the existing evaluation, which shows that the work on a more sustainable design. The evaluation time of the proposed method is 4.7 seconds, and the evaluation time of the existing evaluation is 6.1 seconds;The evaluation time of the proposed method and the existing evaluation is 4.9 seconds and 5.9 seconds, respectively. The results have shown that the internet automation technology designed in this article can achieve effective English translation, and the response speed and accuracy have achieved the expected goals. © 2023 IEEE.

The making and breaking operation of the high voltage switch can generate transient electromagnetic field around the switch. This kind of switching transient EM field is a kind of radiated electromagnetic interference to the electronic equipment in the substation. On the other hand, it also contains the operation state information of the switch itself. So, this paper briefly reviews the research status on the switching transient electromagnetic environment in the substation. In addition, this paper measures the switching transient E-field pulses caused of the disconnector in a 330 kV substation. The measurement results can reflect the basic waveform characteristics of the switching transient E-pulse in both time and frequency domain. More importantly, the spectral differences between the three phases of the disconnector are also found. This is useful for locating pulses sources in the substation. © 2023 IEEE.
