With the rapid development of smart manufacturing, digital factories are becoming more and more popular. This article takes the mattress production workshop of Company Z as the research object because the workshop has advanced digital factory conditions. This article first collects real-time data of workshop production, and then obtains the current problems in the workshop through ECRS analysis, workshop facility layout analysis, and logistics analysis. Finally, Demo 3D simulation software is used to perform three-dimensional simulation optimization analysis, and finally obtains the best production method for the workshop. Experimental results show that the improved balance rate increased by 29%, the production cycle of a single product was reduced by 1.2 minutes, and the cost of a single product was saved by 1.85 yuan. © 2024 SPIE.

By using Matlab digital image processing tool, the method of national flags image recognition and detection is obtained. Firstly, the original color image is grayed, and then, the Gaussian mean filter is used to suppress the noise as much as possible without losing most details. Histogram equalization algorithm is used for image enhancement. Then, through multiple clustering segmentation method, more obvious features of the image are obtained. Finally, feature matching algorithm is used to detect and recognize the national flags image. This algorithm has the characteristics of high robustness and high accuracy. Through Matlab simulation experiment, this algorithm can complete the recognition of national flags image. © 2023 ACM.

Internet of Things (IoT) is the new era for every new technology. The technology is basically used for every task in every industry for the purpose of the automation. IoT perform interaction of one machine with other to work in a proper way and provide with the suitable results. Many of the urban areas problems are resolved using these technologies with the combination of Machine learning and IoT. But now the use of these technology for the rural area people are advancing them and their businesses. Like-wise as IoT is used for Smart Homing, Smart Security, Smart Car, it is also be used for the purpose of the helping the farmers in the agriculture sector. The main study of this paper is to compare the different models used in smart farming and understanding the working of those model. This is a comparative study of the pre-given ways of helping the farmers with technologies in agriculture sector. The Internet of Things (IoT), which has had a tremendous development in recent years, has altered many aspects of daily life by giving rise to commercial tools, home automation, wearable technology, and the framework for smart cities. The modern fantasy of having remote control over several parts of life has been realized because to this continuous connectivity and the ability of devices to acquire and interpret information. However, the various features and functionalities of IoT devices are a double-edged sword because they introduce a number of security flaws and dangers. Through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR), we explore vulnerabilities and their mitigation strategies based on prior research in the field. Notably, while the importance of security in IoT is paramount, especially considering the sensitivity of data involved, there exists a challenge in striking a balance between robust security and user convenience. It's imperative that while bolstering security, we do not compromise on user accessibility. This paper presents a comprehensive discourse addressing the dual challenges of security and accessibility in the IoT landscape. Our findings underscore the urgent need for layered security protocols, encryption, and user authentication to counteract the escalating cyber threats. We conclude by proposing a balanced solution that ensures both security and accessibility in the IoT ecosystem. © 2023 IEEE.

Electric utility companies use short term load forecasting for day ahead operations to maintain the balance between generation and anticipated load. In addition, with the advancement of smart grid technology the need for short term load forecasting is even more significant, to plan demand side management, integrate electric vehicles and other renewable energy resources such as offshore wind energy, solar energy. Load forecasting can be done using statistical methods and artificial intelligence models. The later technique is more accurate and powerful and therefore researchers have and worked on its improvement using different models especially in the last two decades. To get the best possible match between original load values and anticipated values, four DL models long short-term memory, gated recurrent unit, hybrid CNN-LSTM and hybrid CNN-GRU have been studied in the paper. The objective of the study is to find out the best DL model by comparing them on three different publicly available datasets and it is observed that the LSTM and GRU models are effective on simple and small datasets while hybrid models are performing well in complex and large datasets. © 2023 IEEE.

A new form of disassembly line layout has been proposed, known as the circular disassembly line. This layout utilizes circular automation equipment to disassemble various products. The circular shape allows products to rotate throughout the disassembly process, thereby enhancing efficiency and flexibility. In addition, to facilitate product rotation, the equipment employs an embedded turntable structure. By utilizing a rotating platform, a turntable, or other rotating devices, products can maintain an appropriate disassembly angle, ensuring consistency and quality control throughout the entire process. Through cyclic allocation, tasks are quickly assigned to idle workstations for disassembly. This achieves workload balancing and improves the utilization rate of workstations to meet the ever-changing disassembly demands. As a result, labor costs are reduced, and consistency and quality control in the disassembly process are enhanced. In summary, compared to traditional disassembly lines, the Circular Disassembly Line offers multiple advantages, including improved efficiency, flexibility, accuracy, and quality control, as well as reduced operational costs and energy consumption. © 2023 IEEE.

An alternative end product quality control system is proposed for an industrial plant involving a sequence of distillation columns using a multivariable model predictive control (MPC) approach. The latter was realized using the MATLAB toolbox. A controllability analysis using the steady-state controllability metrics is presented and discussed to make a comparison between the currently applied and alternative control systems. Next, obtained results are verified with a closed-loop performance under the set point change. The tests show the advantage of an alternative control structure. Conclusions are drawn about the feasibility of using the proposed approach to manage the quality of the end products. © 2023 IEEE.

Traditional recommendation systems typically rely solely on user content information to predict product ratings while ignoring the impact of other factors on recommendation effectiveness. Proposes a recommendation algorithm based on product attributes and social attributes that leverages product attribute information to obtain user preferences and product features, thereby reducing rating data sparsity. The algorithm also considers the effect of social attributes on the recommendation system and uses linear weighting with global rating average, item rating average, user rating average, and matrix decomposition to predict user ratings, thus improving prediction accuracy. The algorithm was tested on three public datasets, and the results indicate that it improves recommendation performance to a certain extent. © 2023 IEEE.

Femtocell network has a great development space in increasing coverage and capacity of wireless network. In order to meet the quality of service (QoS) requirements of MUEs in MBS coverage, we propose a seed channel incentive mechanism in the two-tier femtocell network, where the MBS provides sub-channels to FBSs to motivate them to serve for the MUEs within the MBS coverage. To maximize the energy efficiency of femtocell layer after hybrid access, the optimization problem is modeled. The combined method of worst-case, Dinkelbach and continuous convex approximation is developed to make the optimization problem solvable. In addition, in order to realize the practical application of the proposed scheme, an optimization algorithm combining sub-channel and power allocation is developed. The numerical results show that the proposed algorithm is effective in improving the energy efficiency of the femtocell layer. © 2023 IEEE.

In this study, the three-dimensional path-following problem of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) is considered in the case with time-varying velocity. The velocity is considered as an unknown function of time, but can measured at current moment. In order to remove the non-differentiable velocity function in the drift field of the affine system of UAV path coordinates, the technique of change of the independent variable is applied. After that, to design the path following control law, the new system is transformed into the canonical representation of the affine system. Then, the nonlinear feedback is directly used to get the stabilizing control in the canonical form of the system. In the end, numerical simulation results demonstrate that the UAV has precise path-following capabilities with high tracking accuracy by the proposed control approach. © 2023 IEEE.
