The traditional manual maintenance and safety inspection of high poles and cables bear high safety risks. To address these issues, the article proposed a design of an inchwormoid pole-climbing robot and its gait control scheme. By studying the structural characteristics and working posture of the existing rod-climbing robot, analyzing the changing patterns of the inchworm’s crawling postures, a modular inchwormoid pole-climbing robot with 4 degrees of freedom was designed. The three-dimensional structure model of the robot was established by SOLIDWORKS software. The gait mathematical model of the robot was established through the inverse kinematics solution. The multi-objective particle swarm optimization theory was employed to achieve the optimization of low energy consumption and stable climbing. Microservice architecture is a distributed style, which aims to enhance software system scalability, maintainability and flexibility by breaking down monolithic into microservices. In this paper, we use community detection strategy to perform extraction process of microservices based on graph and the scheme with the higher modularity will be selected. Subsequently, we take four metrics to validate result compared with other three methods. The quality of requirements specification is crucial for software development, which directly affects the success of the project, cost control, and final product quality. However, the lack of publicly available datasets due to the domain specificity of requirements specification and the scarcity of related research has posed a challenge for in-depth research. To address this issue, this study designed a requirements analysis simulation experiment on the Educoder practical teaching platform for collecting requirements specification data. Subsequently, the quality of the data was enhanced by performing preprocessing operations such as segmentation, removing stopwords, and structured partitioning. Next, the data were manually labeled and the dataset was expanded using a variety of data enhancement techniques to enhance the diversity and complexity of the requirements specification text. Finally, a requirements specification quality assessment dataset was successfully constructed by rationally dividing the data, which provides solid data support for further research in software engineering. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

Teleoperation enables humans to perform tasks in complex and dangerous environments more safely and comfortably. Current vision-based methods for non-anthropomorphic robotic teleoperation focus mainly on tracking and imitating human motion to control the robot’s end-effector. However, in complex environments, these methods that lack direct control over other robotic joint configurations may encounter obstacle avoidance issues. Therefore, we proposed a method for generating human-like joint configurations in vision-based non-anthropomorphic robotic teleoperation. This method captures human motion data using only a monocular RGB camera and translates it into robotic motion. Specifically, a novel inverse kinematics solver is developed to calculate the robot’s human-like joint configuration. Through simulation experiments, the human-likeness of the robot’s posture and the tracking performance of its end-effector were analyzed, validating the effectiveness of the proposed method. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

Real-time medical imaging guidance for robotic surgeries is made possible by the excellent imaging quality of MRI. MRI-compatible robotic joint actuators are essential for these systems. Among various MRI-compatible actuation methods, pneumatic motors are considered optimal due to their sterility, safety, reliability, and ability to generate bidirectional continuous rotations like BLDC motors. Accurate encoders are vital for real-time measurement and precise control of pneumatic motors. This paper proposes a modularly-designed MRI-compatible bidirectional rotary encoder using optical fibers, presenting design methodology and experimental evaluation. Compared with a commercial encoder, the proposed encoder exhibits a maximum error of 0.01 rad for position measurement mode and 0.1 rad/s for speed measurement mode. This modularly-designed MRI-compatible rotary encoder significantly improves accuracy compared to state-of-the-art competitors and is suitable for rotary actuators in MRI or similar harsh environments. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.
