Captioning an image is the process of describing it with syntactically and semantically meaningful terms. An image caption generator is developed by the integration of computervision and natural language processing technology. Despite the fact that numerous techniques for generating image captions have been developed, the result is inadequate and the need for research in this area is still a demanding topic. The human process of describing any image is by seeing, focusing and captioning, which is equivalent that of feature representation, visual encoding and language generation for the image captioning systems. This study presents the construction of a simple deep learning-based image captioning model and investigates the efficacy of different visual encoding methods employed in the model. We have analyzed and compared the performance of six different pre-trained CNN visual encoding models using Bilingual Evaluation Understudy (BLEU) scores.

The application of automated image acquisition in combination with algorithmic imageprocessing has the potential to produce an appropriate automatic response in every business scenario. computervision Systems (CVS) can generate a similar or even more valuable response to a visual trigger than a human. Hence, there is a fundamental change driven by the implementation of these technologies. In this scope, this contribution aims to analyze the interrelationships between CVS, value proposition, and business model. For this purpose, a sequential mixed methods research approach was utilized, and a theoretical model based on the Task-Technology Fit was developed to analyze the interrelationships. As a result, relevant impact factors could be identified, which lead to the CSV affecting the value proposition and thus on the entire business model. An additional outcome represents the categorization of when business models are changed by CVS deployment and when completely new ones are formed.

Approximately, 350 million people, a proportion of 8%, suffer from color vision deficiency (CVD). While image generation algorithms have been highly successful in synthesizing high-quality images, CVD populations are unintentionally excluded from target users and have difficulties understanding the generated images as normal viewers do. Although a straightforward baseline can be formed by combining generation models and recolor compensation methods as the post-processing, the CVD friendliness of the result images is still limited since the input image content of recolor methods is not CVD-oriented and will be fixed during the recolor compensation process. Besides, the CVD populations can not be fully served since the varying degrees of CVD are often neglected in recoloring methods. Instead, we propose a personalized CVDfriendly image generation algorithm with two key characteristics: (i) generating CVD-oriented images aligned with the needs of CVD populations;(ii) generating continuous personalized images for people with various CVD degrees through disentangling the color representation based on a triple-latent structure. Quantitative and qualitative experiments indicate our proposed image generation model can generate practical and compelling results compared to the normal generation model and combination baselines on several datasets.
