Anatomical key-points recognition is essential in many medical image analyses and clinical healthcare applications. Successfully identifying these anatomical key points provides multiple advantages, such as assisting medical experts in making treatment adjustments and offering information that helps to position surgical instruments at the appropriate locations. However, manual anatomical key-point recognition is subjective, slow, and time-consuming, especially when processing many medical images in clinical institutions. To overcome these limitations, this study aims to establish the correlation between human anatomical key points based on OpenPose and Baidu AI key-point detection techniques and the truth ground anatomical key-points marked by therapists in human medical images. This relationship will help to optimize the detection performance, reduce cost, decrease human error, and accelerate the process. The Sichuan Cancer Hospital provided five whole-body scan images obtained from a clinical CT scanner. A medical expert subsequently identified 14 anatomical key points from each scan. Finally, the datasets were reconstructed into 3-dimensional volume models to visualize whole-body skin models and the skeletons. The human-Annotated 14 key points were then used as ground truth compared to the computer vision techniques: OpenPose and Baidu AI. Both OpenPose and Baidu AI were found to have systematic offsets from the ground true reference points. These findings are reported in this work and can be used as a correction method. © 2023 IEEE.

Semantic segmentation is a basal task and is a typical computer vision problem. Although semantic segmentation is developing rapidly, the speed and accuracy of model segmentation still need to be further improved. For solve the issue of scale differences between target objects and loss of spatial information in the segmentation task of remote sensing images, by improving the original U-Net3+ network and introducing the attention mechanism, a new network MA-Unet3+ is constructed. In the coding phase, images of unlike scales are fused, and the full-scale connections are pruned, some skip connections are removed, and attention mechanisms are introduced between each layer. The improved model is contrast with some common network models, and the experiment achieves 78.7% average intersection (mIoU) on the Vaihingen dataset, which is 0.8% better than this optimized network U-Net3+, the average category pixel accuracy (MPA) is 92.4%, which is 1.2% better, and the similarity coefficient (Dice) result is 87.3%, which is 0.8% better. 0.8%, it is observed that MA-Unet3+ is precede other algorithms. © 2023 IEEE.

A social networking site (SNS) is an incredible information exchange platform that helps advance and shares a lot of useful information regarding items, news, training, travel, medical care, etc. However, there are a lot of risks involved with protecting a person's safety and security. Posts of photos online can be shared, labeled, and reposted again without the permission of the individuals pictured. Using facial recognition, we propose a framework for identifying each person and examining the web-based account connections between people. Replicated, labeled, or replicated posts will be checked, regardless of whether they're by a known or unknown individual. Whenever a person is obscure, the images are convolved through a low-pass filter in order to eliminate clamor and edges that obstruct the image. The proposed solution used deep-learning-based VGG19 engineering to characterize pictures, Haar overflow viola jones calculations for location, and PC vision-based obscuring methods to remove objects from the picture. Thus, a region under the ROC curve (AUC) precision of 88% was achieved. There was a 91.53% accuracy achieved by using the proposed model, and we also assessed the model using Precision, Accuracy, Review, and F1-Score matrices, which yielded an accuracy of 70.83%, 82%, 71%, and 0.68% respectively. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper comes to solve the problem of parameter tuning in image processing. This task is mostly done manually by users, but the multitude of possible values makes it tedious and time consuming. A distributed reinforcement learning using the Q-learning algorithm combined with Kalman filters is proposed to help users to find the optimal values of a combination of image processing operators. This combination is used to extract an object of interest from an image. The obtained results show how the proposed method behaves well to reach good results. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

This study presents an organized analysis and presentation of many existing image enhancing approaches. There is a requirement of reliable visual data in most sensitive areas such as medical, geographical, and social security, seismology and weather forecasting. image improvement of low-light images has grown in importance as computer vision research has become more complex due to the increased demands of the field. In this paper, first the fundamental techniques of image enhancement has been reviewed for understanding purpose and then findings together with the many benefits and drawbacks of the mentioned approaches as well as the potential for further study in this field has been presented. More Emphasize on model-based techniques has been given in this article, since they are interpretable and don't require labeled training data. © 2023 IEEE.

Recently, the histogram estimation architectures for analyzing the sampled data have numerous applications in image processing, communications, computer vision, and pattern recognition. In this work, the proposed histogram estimation structure is used to count up the bin values, and also the structure is implemented on Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) and also on Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) platform. The input 8 × 8 image is transformed into binary samples by using MATLAB, and these values are given to the input of Verilog code. The simulation results of the proposed architecture are obtained from the ModelSim software. In this we analyze the performance of both existed and proposed structures for 8 × 8 image and to obtain the performance of ASIC and are implemented in cadence encounter digital IC implementation with 180 nm technology and the percentage decrease of power, delay, and area is 32%, 18%, and 17.6%. And also, the utilization of look up tables, slice registers, and number of flip-flops is reduced for Virtex-6 device. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

ALPR, also known as Automatic License Plate Recognition, is a technological system that employs the characters displayed on a vehicle's license plate to identify and distinguish the vehicle. This information can be used create a reliable license plate-based automatic vehicle identification system. The technology is put into place at security inspection entries in extremely restricted and secure regions including military zones and areas close to significant government institutions like the Supreme Court and Parliament. The suggested ALPR system employs a multi-step approach that involves optical character recognition (OCR), image processing, and character segmentation. In the image processing stage, techniques such as edge detection, noise reduction, and image enhancement are utilized to enhance the quality of the input images. Individual characters are then separated from the license plate by using the character segmentation module, resolving issues like overlapping characters, different fonts, and varying license plate sizes. Through the use of machine learning and pattern recognition algorithms, the OCR module identifies and extracts alphanumeric characters from the segmented regions. The efficiency of the suggested ALPR system is shown by experimental findings, achieving an overall accuracy of 90% with high precision and recall rates for license plate identification. The system's processing time has been observed to fall within acceptable limits, enabling its real-time implementation in practical applications. © 2023 IEEE.

Human pose estimation is an important research direction in the field of computer vision, which is widely used in human-computer interaction, behavior analysis, and intelligent surveillance. Although existing human pose estimation algorithms possess high accuracy for high-resolution images, they perform poorly for low-resolution images that are prevalent in practical applications, and thus are difficult to be widely used in people's daily lives. In this paper, we propose a new end-to-end network framework for accurate human pose estimation of low-resolution images by combining super-resolution assistance and quantization error optimization. In addition, a composite loss function is designed to jointly train the super-resolution network to generate high-resolution images that contribute to human pose estimation instead of simple pre-processing. The experimental results show that the mAP of our method reaches 68.1% and 61.4% on the COCO datasets downsampled to 128×96 and 64×48. © 2023 ACM.

For women, breast cancer ranks among the most fatal diseases. Mammography is the most widely used and effective imaging technique for the initial detection of breast cancer. On a mammography, the most significant indicators of breast cancer are asymmetry, microcalcification, lumps, and distortion of the breast's architecture. What we call 'microcalcification' (MC) refers to extremely minute deposits of calcium. It is common knowledge that the presence of clusters of microscopic calcification raises the cancer risk significantly. These microcalcification clusters are now being taken seriously as a reliable first signal in regular mammography screening. Microcalcifications occur in 61%-82% of malignant tumors, and in roughly 21% of these cases, they are the only indication of cancer. Microcalcifications on mammography film can be anywhere from 0.01mm2 to 1mm2. Considering how a radiologist's attention may be diverted from such minute calcium deposits. The diagnostic errors itself are the foundation of CAD in digital mammography. There are a plethora of computerized automated instruments for distinguishing and interpreting microcalcification's earliest stages. Diagnostic imaging, computer science, image processing, pattern recognition, and AI are all brought together in computer assisted diagnosis. The detection performance and screening efficacy of mammography can be improved with the help of digital image processing techniques, which CAD systems employ. CAD examines the digital mammography for suspicious regions and highlights them for the radiologist to further investigate. Once the suspicious area has been located, CAD separates it into sections, calculates many characteristics for each region, and uses the appropriate features to classify a lesion as benign or malignant. © 2023 IEEE.

Water apple (Syzygium aqueum) is a fruit that comprises numerous variants, and precise identification of these variants is essential for distinguishing their leaves accurately. This research presents a study on water apple leaf variant classification utilizing the VGG16 deep learning model. The objective was to distinguish between seven distinct water apple leaf variants, namely bol, citra, dalhari, deli merah, king rose, kiojok, and susu. A comprehensive dataset was compiled, consisting of a balanced distribution of 99 to 100 leaf images per variant. The research involved two experiments: one with random weight initialization and the other with pre-trained weights from the imageNet dataset. The results demonstrated the significant impact of pre-trained weights initialization, as the model achieved an impressive accuracy of 91.69% compared to 47.79% with random weight initialization. The high accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-Score values indicated the model's effectiveness in accurately classifying the water apple leaf variants. This achievement holds promising potential for diverse practical applications in agriculture, botanical research, education, and conservation efforts. © 2023 IEEE.
