In recent years, Blockchain-based systems have experienced rapid growth. Although these systems are in production, they are not exempt from presenting defects in the design of their elements such as smart Contracts. Design defects in smart Contracts lead to inconsistencies and consequently to incorrect operation, which generates problematic situations during and after the execution of the system. In this paper, we describe an overview of main current approaches to formally verify smart Contracts. Moreover, it is proposed to use Descriptive Logics to verify the consistency of functionality in the designs of smart Contracts. The balance between expressiveness and computational complexity of Descriptive Logics, allow to model in an unified framework elusive smart Contract properties, such as temporal and spatial ones. Furthermore, it will allow reliable and efficient verification of these properties.

A unique, developing idea known as "smart cities"relies on cutting-edge information and communication systems. Policy makers frequently require precise and updated land use land cover data to effectively represent the city. After forming a new state Uttarakhand from Uttar Pradesh, Dehradun district, the capital of Uttarakhand state, witnessed rapid fluctuations in the land use land cover (LULC) especially with reference to built-up area due to smart city project (urbanization). This research article reveals impact of smart city project on land use efficiency in Dehradun by using remote sensing and GIS techniques. Classification of LANDSAT images are performed by Random Forest (RF) classifier in Google Earth Engine from 2001 to 2022. According to the findings of this investigation, from 2001 to 2022, the built-up area of the Uttarakhand state's Dehradun district has grown (116%) dramatically, particularly in the city's core where a smart city project is taking root. © 2023 IEEE.

The smart grid architecture, which represents a deep integration of information technology and power systems, brings many conveniences to people. However, due to the highly open communication network and complex information interaction environment, it also faces more security risks. Existing intrusion detection algorithms based on machine learning cannot cope with the increasing features in the Energy Internet. To address this issue, this paper proposes the Improved Gravitational Search Algorithm (IGSA) for feature selection. Our core idea is to utilize IGSA for efficient feature selection, reducing the learning cost of machine learning methods and improving detection accuracy. Furthermore, to enhance the algorithm's global search capability and robustness, a novel elite selection strategy and adaptive mutation strategy are introduced. Experimental results on three public datasets demonstrate that IGSA improves detection accuracy by an average of 11.14% compared to other feature selection methods.

The introduction of smart and connected vehicles has had a dramatic impact on the automobile sector. Given the continuously evolving context, ensuring vehicular safety is important. The present research describes a novel way to improve vehicle safety by combining a Raspberry Pi-based collision avoidance system with complex networking features in smart cars. The implementation of artificial intelligence-driven sensor fusion, which integrates data from various onboard sensors to enhance collision prediction and prevention, is the fundamental element of the invention. The paper describes an extensive technique that includes hardware setup, data collecting, sensor fusion, AI-driven collision prediction, enhanced networking, and real-world testing. The results of simulated and real-world scenarios show that the technology has the potential to greatly improve road safety. It was able to achieve high collision prediction accuracy, quick response times, and excellent communication with other cars and infrastructure. Furthermore, a comparison with the existing method demonstrates the unique approach's improved performance and benefits. The proposed research is an important step toward establishing total vehicular safety in smart automobiles and opens the path for future automotive technology advances. © 2023 IEEE.

The security issues in Internet-of-Things (IoT) have received a lot of attention from both industry and academia. Several surveys targeting various IoT-related subjects have been proposed for this goal. This study, on the other hand, focuses solely on security vulnerabilities in IoT. In this regard, we have presented a review by first exploring the fields of smart cities and then the possible security leakages. This seeks to make IoT research easier by bringing together, comparing, and contrasting disparate research contributions in terms of security. Several studies have focused on the area of research on privacy and security to highlight the risks within smart cities. This study has analysed the associated challenges within smart cities and, after analysing the landscape of fundamental technologies in smart cities, we have aligned this review towards the security issues. The most prevalent applications and challenges are discussed. This paper provides an overview of the IoT in smart cities along with operational mechanisms, Important technologies along with potential applications of these applications are evaluated to describe the major research issues. © 2023 IEEE.

Understanding the emotion of a patient suffered by neurological disorder and etc., is a challenging task. In order to recognize the emotions from them, speech synthesizer is employed to extract the audio and then converted as text if needed. Presently, the application of Signal processing is having a tremendous effect in all disciplines ranging from complex medicinal applications to basic radio signal processing and transmission. The goal of Speech Emotion Recognition (SER) is to identify the emotional components of speech, regardless of its semantic content. While this activity can be successfully carried out by people as a natural element of spoken communication, research into the ability to carry it out automatically using programmable devices is still underway. The goal of studies on automatic emotion detection systems is to develop effective, real-time techniques for identifying emotions in a wide range of human-machine interface users, including call centre agents and consumers, drivers, pilots, and many more. This study will demonstrate a real-time audio visualization method for identifying human emotion based on the frequency of the human voice. Compared to the conventional techniques adopted by numerous researchers in this regard, the proposed model delivered better and precise outcome on recognizing the audio from the patients. © 2023 IEEE.

The Internet of Healthcare Things (IoHT) and blockchain technologies have made it feasible to share data in a secure and effective manner, but it is still challenging to ensure the data's veracity and privacy. This paper presents a blockchain authentication method that utilizes Machine Learning (ML) techniques that use smart contracts to ensure the security and privacy of IoHT data. The process utilizes smart contracts to manage access control and ensure data integrity, and deep learning algorithms to identify and validate the accuracy of user data. Furthermore, the approach improves the resilience and dependability of the authentication process and permits secure data ex-change between multiple IoHT systems. The proposed approach provides a potentially revolutionary solution to enhance the safety and confidentiality of IoHT data. It has the potential to fundamentally change how healthcare is provided in the future. © 2023 IEEE.

This study introduces LoRa technology to build a new generation of power grid data transmission communication platform, studies the direct communication method between the main station system and the electricity meter, and studies the feasibility of using LoRa technology instead of GPRS/CDMA technology in the data transmission system of the power grid. The communication network formed by LoRa technology can play an increasingly important role in the fields of smart grid lines, smart distribution networks, smart power supply networks, and smart electricity safety in the future, providing a 'last mile' wireless communication network capability supplement for the existing wired private network of Southern Power Grid. © 2023 IEEE.

Recently, the rapid development of 5G trusted communication technology has greatly contributed to economic and social progress, greatly improving production efficiency. However, the rapidly developing 5G communication technology will inevitably add complexity to the maintenance of network lines and energy scheduling of smart grids. In order to better safeguard the operation and maintenance of 5G communication and energy scheduling of smart grids, reduce operation and maintenance costs, and better ensure the normal scheduling of smart grid systems, this paper conducts in-depth research on the distributed smart grid inspection system of automated unmanned aerial vehicles based on large-scale data and deep learning technology, and applies image super-resolution technology to the system. A real-Time fault detection method for distributed smart grid unmanned aerial vehicles based on 5G communication sites and deep learning is proposed. Specifically, the paper mainly builds a network model based on deep convolutional neural networks and attention mechanisms. The attention mechanism can effectively assign more weights to important fault features, which is beneficial for improving the performance of the model. The experimental results show that compared with existing lightweight models, the method proposed in this paper can not only improve the evaluation indicators and accurately determine whether there are faults in 5G stations and power grid dispatch systems, but also reduce the parameters and computational costs of the model. In actual deployment, the method proposed in this article can meet real-Time production needs, greatly improving the efficiency of operation and maintenance, while reducing operation and maintenance costs. © 2023 IEEE.

Human mobility patterns refer to the regularities and trends in the way people move, travel, or navigate through different geographical locations over time. Detecting human mobility patterns is essential for a variety of applications, including smart cities, transportation management, and disaster response. The accuracy of current mobility prediction models is less than 25%. The low accuracy is mainly due to the fluid nature of human movement. Typically, humans do not adhere to rigid patterns in their daily activities, making it difficult to identify hidden regularities in their data. To address this issue, we proposed a web platform to visualize human mobility patterns by abstracting the locations into a set of places to detect more realistic patterns. However, the platform was initially designed to detect individual mobility patterns, making it unsuitable for representing the crowd in a smart city scale. Therefore, we extend the platform to visualize the mobility of multiple users from a city-scale perspective. Our platform allows users to visualize a graph of visited places based on their historical records using a modified PrefixSpan approach. Additionally, the platform synchronizes, aggregates, and displays crowd mobility patterns across various time intervals within a smart city. We showcase our platform using a real dataset.
