Proper management of parking spaces is essential in urban environments. This study proposes an approach for parking space segmentation using the K-means algorithm and the OpenCV library. The main objective is to determine the trapezoid describing the parking area by analyzing data previously collected from multiple photographs. These images contain several vehicles parked in different dispositions and moments in time. For this, the coordinates of the four leading edges that compose each car were considered. The previously obtained data were used to estimate the trapezoid defining each photograph's parking zone. This approach combines segmentation and imageprocessing techniques to delimit parking spaces in urban environments.

This paper presents an innovative technological approach to ensure the sustainability of state-controlled nature park hunting tourism and to protect wildlife. The developed smart fire control systems utilize artificial intelligence (AI) and advanced imageprocessing techniques to prevent firing by activating the safety pin in various situations. Through an integrated camera module and a minicomputer from the Jetson family, animals can be detected in real-time, and various data analysis techniques, along with object recognition algorithms, allow for ethical intervention in many situations that are invisible to the human eye and could be exploited by hunters. Particularly in various national parks, the frequent reports of accidental or uninformed hunting of rare and endangered species, especially during their breeding seasons, underline the importance of this technology. Furthermore, hunters' preference for the most dominant animal in a herd as a trophy poses a significant threat in evolutionary terms. This technology contributes significantly to the conservation of wildlife while promoting ethical and sustainable practices in hunting tourism. The study addresses the development, testing, and implementation of this technology and adds a technological dimension to wildlife conservation strategies.

This work contributes to the detection of regions of interest on images and their corresponding classification in medical imaging applications by introducing an image segmentation network that consists of four stages. In the first stage, multi-resolution processing is applied to outline regions where further segmentation and classification are to be conducted. Subsequently, a quad-tree division stage followed by a clustering stage deliver an image that is divided into unlabeled clusters. The output stage assigns each cluster to one class. This architecture offers flexibility in the input and output stages since this network can be fed with images of any size and the output stage can be implemented with any traditional classification model such as k-nearest neighbors, multi-layer perceptron, and support vector machine. Another contribution of this work is that this network does not rely on a very large number of annotated images for its training.
