In this study, unmanned ships test platform based on the parallel systems framework is proposed to improve the test efficiency and accuracy of unmanned ships in complex ocean environment. The parallel intelligence theory and ACP approach, the efficient interaction between virtual and real environment is achieved, which provides more comprehensive and accurate data for unmanned ships testing. Future research will further expand the scope of virtual environment simulation and improve systems accuracy and response speed to a wider range of unmanned ships test requirements. © 2024 ieee.

Cell segmentation is a key step in medical image analysis and cell biology research, and is important in areas such as understanding cell behaviour, cancer detection and cell cycle analysis. This task is challenging due to the presence of overlap between cells and image noise. With the development of imaging techniques, the amount and quality of acquired cellular image data have increased significantly and even contain diverse information such as neuronal structures and blood vessels, which puts higher demands on segmentation techniques. Real rat brain cell images obtained using micro-optical slice tomography (MOST) contain complex and diverse information such as neuronal structure, cell morphology, and the distribution of blood vessels, demonstrating the characteristics of real biological samples, for which segmentation of the target region is more difficult. In order to solve these challenges, this paper proposes a new cell image segmentation method that combines watershed order differential feature extraction and fuzzy entropy spatial theory. Due to the complexity of image information, we first use traditional image enhancement techniques. Then feature extraction is performed and fuzzy entropy processing is added to achieve accurate identification of cell boundaries. Then distance transform and curvature analysis are added to further segment the cell clusters into individual cells while avoiding over-segmentation and missed detection. Experiments demonstrate that the method not only shows high performance on our dataset, but also validates our method on several publicly available cellular datasets respectively, proving that the segmentation algorithm shows great potential for segmentation on different types of cells. Future research will further optimise the model to improve segmentation performance on complex and irregularly shaped cells and explore the application of these methods to other types of medical image segmentation tasks. © 2024 ieee.

In order to accommodate the expected billions of devices, increased data rate, and ubiquitous connectivity of the future 5G mobile networks, a wide range of technologies will need to be implemented. Especially since 5G networks will be tied to core and enabling technologies, sensitive data in the next generation of wireless systems will be sent across all levels. As several recent cases have shown, the threat posed by an infected network of wireless devices can have far-reaching consequences for privacy and security of a whole ecosystem's worth of communications. For this reason, detecting or preventing sabotage has become a global concern as security threats have grown in complexity and intensity in recent years. With an eye on both security and privacy, this paper delves deeply into topics like network system security, physical-layer security, and 5G privacy issues;these are the technologies at the heart of the 5G security paradigm. The article also covers topics related to 5G network security administration and monitoring. This article also gives a brief review of 5G standardization safety forces and assesses the security measures as well as standards of core 5G technology using a variety of standardization approaches. At the same time, 5G networks offer security improvement opportunities that should be considered. Here, 5G architectural flexibility, programmability and complexity can be harnessed to improve resilience and reliability. © 2024 ieee.

Modern agriculture relies on the accurate detection and counting of fruits to ensure precise crop estimates, optimize resource use, and boost overall productivity. In this paper, we focus on developing a lightweight deep-learning model for detecting green papaya fruits, that is practical and convenient for farmers. For any categorization task, a well-structured dataset is indeed necessary. However, no suitable dataset is available for papaya detection or counting. We capture real-time data from the field under various conditions (background, lighting, overlapping), annotate the data, and make a well-structured dataset to open a new direction in fruit counting research, especially on papaya counting. Green papaya counting is a challenging task because it blends in with foliage due to its color. Where the images contain overlapping instances and complex backgrounds, we need high-level features to discriminate them. To address this, we propose a CNN-based robust object detection architecture. We employ five one-stage object detection models (YOLOv8n, YOLOv8s, YOLOv8m, YOLOv8l, and YOLOv8x) and a two-stage object detection model (Faster R-CNN) to observe the accuracy. We aim not only to improve papaya production but also to offer a new research direction applicable to other fruits with similar detection challenges and downstream tasks. We want to suggest an ideal model through which farmers can calculate real-time yields with smartphones. By analyzing the experimental results, we propose YOLOv8m model for this problem in terms of a good trade-off between accuracy and model complexity. © 2024 ieee.

After China's accession to the WTO, the country has experienced rapid development over the past 20 years, but the marriage rate has been declining. This study aims to analyze marriage data using machine learning, identify the factors influencing the marriage rate, and make predictions. The data covers seven variables including GDP, housing prices, fertility rate, and education level in 31 regions of China from 2003 to 2022. The study employed five machine learning algorithms with five models: Ridge, Lasso, Elastic Net, Polynomial, and Weighted Least Squares, along with three types of Cross-Validation techniques - Holdout, LOOCV, and K-Fold. By comparing the five regression models and evaluating the marriage rate models through Holdout, LOOCV, and K-Fold Cross-Validation, the results show that the Polynomial regression exhibits higher predictive accuracy, with MSE of 3.473 for Holdout, 3.001 for LOOCV, and 3.018 for K-Fold. Following closely is Ridge regression with MSE of 3.565 for Holdout, 3.326 for LOOCV, and 3.334 for K-Fold. These two models outperform the less performing Lasso and Elastic Net regressions. Weighted Least Squares show stable but slightly inferior performance. By comparing the predicted values for 2022 with the actual values, it is confirmed that Polynomial and Ridge regression closely align with the actual values, predicting the trend of changes in real and predicted values for each province, highlighting their effectiveness in predictive tasks involving complex data patterns. © 2024 ieee.

Cloud computing (CC) technology is widely pay-per-use to provide efficient services to the user. Therefore, it is frequently used in business management because it is cheaper, scalable, and flexible but has some limitations. However, workload prediction is a challenging and complex problem. To address this issue, a data-driven workload prediction model inspired by a decision tree-based model of Machine Learning has been proposed using the benchmark dataset Google Cluster Workload Traces 2019. It is a large benchmark dataset used to analyze or predict workload behavior, resource allocation, or system performance. The main aim is to optimize user satisfaction and profit for cloud service providers and minimize the scalability of resources. The proposed model has been assessed using different evaluation parameters like RMSE, MSE, MAE, R-squared, training time, model size, and prediction speed. The results of this study show that the proposed model performs effectively and outperforms the contemporary model. © 2024 ieee.

The increasing applicability of the big data in different domains require the formulation of effective data collection and analysis framework that can accommodate complex and large datasets. This paper proposes the new DRAF that enhance both data aggregation and mining for large datasets. The Dynamic Resolution Adaptive Framework (DRAF) takes advantage of using multiple levels of representation of data, which makes it easy to expand the workload or scale down depending on the needs of the user. This proposed framework employs methods like hierarchical clustering, branching multi-level indexing and Adaptive Resolution Switching in order to optimize the trade-off of data accuracy and computational cost. Moreover, high level of detail is maintained in the DRAF, which supports mining necessary data and model details at multiple resolutions, making the DRAF specifically appropriate for operational environments where data come from numerous different sources and types. Substantial experiments in the book prove the efficiency of the DRAF-based algorithms in terms of speed and accuracy in comparison with other existing methods. The study establishes potentiality of the DRAF toward the application of big data problems in areas of high level of resolution and immediacy of decision making. © 2024 ieee.

The demand for efficient cloud resource allocation has surged with the growing reliance on cloud computing for a wide array of applications. Optimizing resource allocation in cloud environments is crucial for cost-effectiveness, performance, and energy conservation. In this context, bio-inspired optimization algorithms have gained prominence for their ability to address complex allocation problems. This paper investigates the application of the Harris Hawk Optimization algorithm (HHOA) to enhance cloud resource allocation efficiency. HHOA, inspired by the hunting behavior of Harris's hawks, is an efficient and versatile metaheuristic algorithm known for its ability to find optimal solutions in complex, dynamic environments. By harnessing the HHOA algorithm, this study aims to improve the allocation of resources such as virtual machines and storage within cloud infrastructures as demanded by the tasks. In our proposed approach we present a comprehensive examination of HHOA's suitability for cloud resource allocation and compares its performance with conventional optimization algorithms like Stimulated Annealing (SA), Genetic Algorithm (GA) and Tabu Search (TS). Through a series of experiments, we found that Harris Hawk Optimization Algorithm (HHOA) is proven to be very effective in improving operational efficiency by enhanced reliability, lowered latency and lowered average response time. © 2024 ieee.

RNA-binding proteins (RBPs) are essential for gene expression, and the complex RNA-protein interaction mechanisms require analysis of global RNA information. Therefore, accurate prediction of RBP binding sites on full-length RNA transcripts is crucial for understanding these mechanisms and their roles in diseases. While machine learning methods can predict RBP binding to RNA fragments, extending this to full-length transcripts presents challenges due to sequence length and data imbalance. In this paper, we introduce RBP-Former, a binding site joint prediction model designed specifically for full-length RNA transcripts that can be used for multiple RBPs. This model processes information at both coarse and fine-grained levels to fully exploit sequence data and its interactions with multiple RBPs. We develop multi-level imbalance learning strategies, achieving favorable results on imbalanced data. Our method outperforms existing methods in predicting binding sites on full-length RNA transcripts for multiple RBPs, demonstrating its effectiveness in handling imbalanced label and sample distributions. © 2024 ieee.
