software modeling and digital twins are transforming the way software engineers design, operate, and maintain complex systems. In this column, we highlight cutting-edge research presented at the ACM/ieee 27th international conference on Model-Driven engineering Languages and Systems (MODELS 2024) and the 1st international conference on engineering Digital Twins (EDTconf 2024). software engineering in the era of generative AI, large data sets and superfast pace of software development often tends to focus on technology, tools and methods, putting aside us, software engineers. In this column, we focus on softer aspects of software engineering and report from two conferences: 28th international conference on Evaluation and Assessment in software engineering (EASE 2024) and 18th ACM/ieee international Symposium on Empirical software engineering and Measurement (ESEM 2024). The selection of papers provides a glimpse on handling privacy, documenting ethical considerations in AI models and trustworthy AI.

Because the detection of malicious files is not yet popular, there are often various "backdoors" for files on most forums. For Internet users who publish other people's privacy, bad comments or pictures in cyberspace, and upload and download malicious files in various forums and communities, this paper proposes that through the use of naive Bayesian algorithm and AC computer algorithm, we can quickly and accurately identify malicious content in text, pictures, and software. Through the secondary development of API, we can monitor hundreds of millions of data in real-time, It greatly alleviates the problem of detecting malicious files in the current environment. © 2025 SPIE.

engineering design course is renowned for its abstraction and complexity, which can have an impact on the quality of classroom instruction. To address this issue, this study has undertaken the design and development of an E-learning software utilizing simulation technology and the C# programming language. With a focus on the challenging topic of torsion resistance coefficient, a 3D model of the gearbox shaft was established, and simulation calculations were used to obtain digital resources such as Mises stress plots. Leveraging these resources, an E-learning software was created, garnering widespread recognition with a high approval rate of 92.86% among students. This software effectively utilizes digital resources to aid students in comprehending abstract concepts and significantly enhances their enthusiasm for learning. The findings of this research contribute to the field of E-learning and provide valuable references for future design and development of engineering design case studies. © 2024 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).

Compared with simulation technology, the prominent feature of digital twin technology is its complex interaction ability with the external information, which enables the digital twin function of the physical objects through complex interaction. Therefore, a complete digital twin system is formed, and the digital twin model can truly and effectively play its role. To achieve this, it is necessary to establish data interfaces that effectively connect with external information, physical field calculations, the visual displays, etc., to realize the system integration of digital twin models and verify their engineering feasibility. This article analyzes the functional requirements of the system integration, designs its functional framework, constructs functional modules of physical hardware layer, twin model layer, and human-computer interaction layer, and realizes the integration of valve side bushing digital twin model system with data exchange capability, data transmission capability, and coordination between various functional modules. Among generated parameters, E-field strength inside 220kV reduced ratio bushing is controlled within 3kV/mm, and the composite insulator umbrella skirt is installed outside the core. Total length of the bushing is 2465mm, the length of the bushing tail is 810mm, and the length of the hollow composite insulator is 1250mm. © 2025 SPIE.
