This paper addresses the challenge of adapting large vision models, such as CLIP, to domain shifts in image classification tasks. While these models, pre-trained on vast datasets like LAION 2B, offer powerful visual representations, they may struggle when applied to domains significantly different from their training data, such as industrial applications. We introduce TADA, a Text-Aided Domain Adaptation method that adapts the visual representations of these models to new domains without requiring target domain images. TADA leverages verbal descriptions of the domain shift to capture the differences between the pre-training and target domains. Our method integrates seamlessly with fine-tuning strategies, including prompt learning methods. We demonstrate TADA’s effectiveness in improving the performance of large vision models on domain-shifted data, achieving state-of-the-art results on benchmarks like DomainNet.

Effective management and integration of data from multi-source heterogeneous automation subsystems in mines is a current industry problem. Problems such as inconsistent equipment models and inconvenient collection and configuration need to be solved urgently. Analyze the mine's main electromechanical equipment and its attribute information, establish a unified equipment object model and data object model, and develop an Internet of Things equipment sensor monitoring data configuration management system for PLC, OPC, TCP and other protocols. The system has functions such as online visual configuration of equipment object attribute information, autonomous selection of collection protocols, and adaptive configuration of distributed parsing services. Field application shows that the system improves the collection efficiency of massive heterogeneous data, reduces the difficulty of operation and maintenance, and accelerates the construction of intelligent mines, which has certain reference value.

Most data-driven deep learning-based Artistic Image Aesthetics Assessment (AIAA) methods cannot effectively extract visual attributes from art images since the existing artistic image datasets don’t provide any information about visual attributes. The lack of visual attributes reduces the interpretability of AIAA methods and limits their performance. To address these problems, a novel artistic image aesthetics assessment assisted by photographic visual attributes is proposed. The proposed method consists of a feature extraction module and a joint prediction module. The feature extraction module pre-trained on a photographic dataset and an artistic image dataset can learn the information of photographic attributes and the generic artistic aesthetic information. The joint prediction module uses a non-local self-attention block to fuse the photographic visual attribute features with general artistic aesthetic features. The fused features are fed into an FC layer for calculating the artistic image aesthetic score. Experimental results indicate that our proposed method outperforms some state-of-the-art AIAA methods.

Air pollution remains a critical public health issue, particularly in rapidly urbanizing regions such as India. While existing studies have analyzed air quality globally, limited large-scale, data-driven research has been conducted exclusively for India. This study presents a novel approach by leveraging big data analytics and machine learning to examine the World Health Organization (WHO) Ambient Air Quality database. Using Exploratory data Analysis (EDA), we detect inconsistencies, validate assumptions, and analyze correlations between key pollutants, including particulate matter (PM2.5, PM10) and nitrogen dioxide (NO₂). Unlike traditional studies focusing on static trends, this research employs K-means clustering to dynamically classify air quality levels and identify pollution hotspots across Indian cities. By integrating meteorological parameters and utilizing advanced visualization techniques, we provide a scalable, data-driven framework for real-time air quality monitoring. Experimental results demonstrate that predictive analytics can effectively pinpoint critical pollution zones, offering actionable insights for policymakers to enhance air quality management. This study bridges a significant research gap by applying machine learning-driven analytics exclusively to India's air quality, providing a foundation for future policy interventions.

Understanding customer sentiments is crucial for e-commerce platforms to enhance user experiences, improve product quality, and stay competitive. This study analyzes customer sentiments from product reviews across various categories using NLP techniques. Reviews are classified as positive, neutral, or negative through sentiment polarity and subjectivity analysis. visual tools like heatmaps and word clouds can be used for simplification and better summarization of product reviews. In this approach, a new capability is proposed to the e-commerce platforms, where various product reviews are summarized with such visualizations. This helps the end customer to decide on buying the products much faster, improving the overall customer experience.

The abundance of digital data available in today’s environment can improve quality of life and offer helpful insights. In the e-commerce space, customer evaluations and comments about a product may truly be utilized to gain valuable information for the seller, which can then be applied to the product’s enhancement. This study seeks to collect comments on the product’s surrounding features as well as the polarity of the sentiments expressed in product reviews. By doing this, the vendor will be able to comprehend the consumer market, consider ideas, and adjust their product properly. The model implementation consists of three parts, aspect term extraction, opinion term extraction, and sentiment score calculation. An unsupervised rule-based model has been implemented to extract aspect and opinion terms, whereas a BERT model to obtain the sentiment score.

This study introduces an automated framework aimed at enhancing video accessibility for visually impaired individuals by generating descriptive audio. Utilizing advanced tools such as PySceneDetect for extracting keyframes, YOLOv8 for detecting and classifying objects, and DeepFace for analyzing emotional expressions, the system identifies key visual elements and emotional contexts within videos. Detailed captions are created using the BLIP model and are subsequently transformed into natural and customizable audio using ParlerTTS. The resulting descriptive audio is synchronized with the original video through tools like MoviePy and PyDub. This integrated solution provides an efficient, scalable, and automated method to make video content more accessible, enabling visually impaired users to better interpret and enjoy visual media.

Architectural design is a challenging field with limited AI applicability due to the difficulty of translating textual descriptions into visual representations. This work fills the gap by proposing a multi-modal learning framework that combines textual and visual data for AI-based architectural automation. Using BERT embeddings for text and numerical arrays for spatial composition, the approach entails data preprocessing, normalization, and structured alignment to bridge the AI-architectural intent gap. A Python-based pipeline controls text-image relationships, making it usable for automated design generation, classification, and retrieval. Experimental validation using SSIM, and expert assessment, confirms the framework's capability to generate functionally consistent and visually accurate layouts. The results show an AI-assisted design process that improves accuracy, streamlines conceptualization, and enables greater AI-architecture integration. Future work will improve attention mechanisms, increase datasets, and investigate more comprehensive architectural applications.

The development of artificial intelligence in various fields, especially with its implementation at home, has a different impact on each user. This research only focuses on analyzing the impact of AI implementation at home on the comfort of its residents. The purpose of this study is to gather information regarding the opportunities for smart home implementation among Indonesians. This research relies on UTAUT 2 variables, which include Ease of Use, Usability, Hedonic Motivation, and Interactive visual Information. The study used quantitative methods and a closed questionnaire, with participants from various backgrounds, including age, occupation, group membership, and profession. The questionnaire results were then analyzed. The findings of this study involving 204 samples revealed that the variables USF (Usefulness Factor) and IVI (Interactive visual Information) both have a positive correlation with FDH (Facilitate Daily Household). Therefore, the usability and visual interactivity of the smart home system are crucial in improving user satisfaction, driving adoption, and further development of AI based home automation in Indonesia.
