Aiming at the problems of uncertainty, multiple disturbances and low efficiency in the permanent magnet synchronous wind power generation system, a composite controller combining the cascaded linear extended state observer and full coefficient adaptive control is proposed based on the optimal blade tip speed ratio. First, based on the method of feature modeling, the uncertainty of the system is compressed into the feature parameters, and the feature parameters are identified in real time to design the full coefficient adaptive control law. Secondly, the total disturbance is estimated and compensated by cascading state observers to improve the tracking accuracy of the system. Finally, through comparative tests, the system achieves maximum wind energy utilization with high control accuracy and response speed by real-time estimation of perturbations generated by wind speed.

In the construction industry, teleoperation plays a vital role in enabling operators to control machinery from a safe distance. However, this approach requires operators to undergo significant training to become proficient in operating the machines, as they have multiple degrees of freedom and are remotely controlled on a joint level using individual joysticks or levers. Additionally, operators can only confirm the machine's resulting motion after the actual execution, making it challenging to pre-plan the motion of the teleoperated hydraulic machine. To address this problem, a data-driven approach is employed in this study to capture the hydraulic system's nonlinear dynamics, allowing for the modeling of the nonlinear relationship between control inputs and system state changes with less effort and without significant hardware modifications. An assistance system is proposed based on this data-driven actuator model, which pre-visualizes the hydraulic machine's motion within the captured 3D workspace. this pre-visualization enables operators to preview the machine's motion for any sequence of control inputs before execution. the proposed framework is implemented on the full-scale construction machine, BROKK 170, and evaluated within the common construction task of inserting a chisel into a borehole.

Due to carbon peaking and carbon neutrality, the new distribution system for energy connection will become the development direction of the AC and DC distribution system in the future. With the high penetration of intermittent distributed energy resources and flexible load, the problems of voltage violation and fluctuation have been becoming more and more serious. thus the urgent need arises to solve the problem of voltage and reactive power optimization in the new distribution system. In this paper, the multi-resolution model definition and its background are presented at first. Secondly, a multi-resolution optimization model of voltage and reactive power is proposed to analyse dynamic operation characteristics of the new distribution system caused by the stochastic nature of distributed energy resources and load. And then based on the above model, the corresponding optimization methodology is proposed. the simulation results show that the proposed model and methodology can not only provide systematic descriptions of dynamic operation characteristics, but also greatly reduce the computational burden and make the analysis less time-consuming. therefore, it is significantly meaningful to make safe and stable operation of the new distribution system. © the Institution of Engineering & Technology 2024.

this article discussed the automatic frequency fluctuation control in an interlinked power network. Power quality issue arises at the time uncertainty in the loading. the power network is framed by two unequal power sources for investigation. By the complexity of the network the maintain the power quality is too much risk. Area one consists of a dish Stirling thermal system (DSTS). Area two has a thermal power plant alone. For automatic frequency stability control, the Load frequency control (LFC) scheme is presented with a secondary controller. In this study proportional integral derivative (PID) controller is recommended. the parameters of PID are optimized by the Dragonfly algorithm (DA) using Integral Time Absolute Error (ITAE) cost function. the DA technique supremacy is proved by comparing the results of the Ant colony optimization (ACO), Differential evolution (DE), Genetic algorithm (GA), and Particle swarm optimization (PSO) technique with DA. the DA - PID controller response is better than the GA, ACO, DE, and PSO techniques. the control response proved the quick oscillation control at 16s, also very minimal peak values. © 2023 IEEE.

the RISC-V open-source instruction set architecture (ISA) is gaining popularity in the realm of new processor development. Its maturity allows implementation even in scenarios where security plays a key role. OpenTitan (OT), an open-source silicon Root of Trust (RoT) designed specifically for secure embedded environments is a significant example of this adoption. this study focuses on integrating OT into a system-on-Chip (SoC) exclusively featuring RISC-V architectures. In this configuration, OT serves as a secure co-processor, leveraging its cryptographic accelerators to enhance the performance of cryptographic workloads. A noteworthy aspect of this implementation is the intentional preservation of strong isolation in computation and memory, an essential feature to protect sensitive data, including cryptographic keys and intermediate results of cryptographic tasks. the integration of OT into a complete RISC-V SoC was executed and characterized on an FPGA. the FPGA runs the entire SoC which leverages a specialized communication system between two domains: a Host domain and a Safe domain. the Host domain features a CVA6 processor running Linux, while the Safe domain houses the OT system. During system characterization, the delays introduced by the communication and synchronization system between the Host and Safe domains were measured, along with the performance of cryptographic operations conducted in the Safe domain. Results demonstrate the effectiveness of OT HW/SW integration, compensating for the overhead introduced by the communication and synchronization system between the two domains. this makes the proposed implementation sustainable for various application cases and facilitates its integration into embedded and cyber-physical systems based on secure open-hardware architectures. © 2024 IEEE.

Ultra high voltage direct current transmission is the main technical means for large-scale energy bases in western China to remotely transmit power resources to the central and eastern load centers. With the continuous development of new power systems, the power grid has put forward higher requirements for the operation reliability, control flexibility, and equipment safety of ultra-high voltage direct current transmission. With the large-scale integration of new energy into ultra-high voltage DC systems, frequent voltage fluctuations and stability issues in converter stations are prominent. When the DC power or voltage repeatedly deviates from the target value, it will cause continuous action of tap changer, resulting in safety hazards for converter and on load tap changer equipment. therefore, it is necessary to conduct research on optimization strategies for frequent operation of tap changers in ultra-high voltage direct current projects. © the Institution of Engineering & Technology 2024.

Quadcopters, as a subset of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), have seen a surge in research interest given their vast application potential in civilian and military arenas. this paper introduces an optimized approach to attitude control in quadcopters. An innovative Conditioned Adaptive Barrier Function Integral Terminal Sliding Mode Controller (CABFIT-SMC) has been developed to tackle the problem of trajectory tracking in the quadcopter. Moreover, a sliding mode control (SMC) is instituted for comparative analysis. the optimization of these control laws is accomplished using the quantum particle swarm optimization (QPSO) algorithm. this algorithm blends the principles of particle swarm optimization (PSO) and quantum mechanics, offering a metaheuristic approach to optimization. the non-linear model of the quadcopter has been framed utilizing the Lagrange formalism, integrated with MATLAB's ODE-45, and accounts for gyroscopic moments and aerodynamic effects. the system's asymptotic stability is verified through a Lyapunov stability analysis. the paper includes a comparative analysis of all optimized control laws through graphical and tabular comparative analysis. the efficacy of the control law is evaluated against six performance metrics, namely mean absolute percentage error, root mean square error, integral square error, integral absolute error, integral time absolute error, and integral time square error, to identify the superior control law. A 3D-helical complex trajectory is utilized for evaluating the performance and consistency of the proposed optimized controllers. the results indicate that the CABFIT-SMC controller, optimized with the QPSO algorithm, outperforms the optimized SMC across all performance metrics, thus proving its effectiveness for attitude tracking of a quadcopter system.

this paper presents a model of the fuel cell (FC) cathode air supply system that considers altitude variation. Additionally, an algorithm that optimizes power by using perturbation and observation (P&O) is proposed to ensure that the FC outputs the maximum net power under high altitude conditions. To analyze the sensitivity of the algorithm parameters, power optimization results with varying iteration cycle times, voltage perturbation steps, and power change thresholds are compared to optimize the algorithm parameters. the proposed algorithm's power optimization performance and altitude adaptation capability are demonstrated through a comparative analysis with the offline optimization method at two different altitudes. the simulation results show that the proposed P&O algorithm has the same optimization capability as the offline optimization algorithm and can adapt to the altitude change.
