the growing importance of the data in today's applications, such as machine learning, makes merchandising them more appealing, but it opens various challenges. Indeed, we want data to be delivered in a fast, reliable, and secure manner. this means we want guarantees about the payment and the correct delivery of the data, while still offering the ease of existing publish/subscribe protocols. there exists no state-of-the-art protocol that answers to all those challenges. Most of them lack the security properties needed for merchandising data and the few secured propositions do not scale well with the number of buyers, which prevents them from global use. In this paper, we present a data payment system based on SUPRA, a publish/subscribe protocol having delivery guarantees. With our solution, it is possible to securely sell data while sharing them using the publish/subscribe model, which is known for its scalability in one-to-many communications. After presenting how our system works, we explain how it answers the various challenges of merchandising data and compare it to the other state-of-the-art solutions.

the reduction of harmonics in terms of improving power quality is usually achieved using passive or active filters. Due to their advantages over passive filters, active power filters (APF) are receiving increased attention from researchers focusing on optimal sizing and allocation of APFs in the network with the aim of reducing total harmonic distortion. this paper proposes methodology for determining optimal size, location and settings of APF while observing total harmonic distortion of voltage (thDV). It emphasizes the importance of controlling individual harmonic distortion (IHD). Furthermore, due to the different nature of the injection of harmonics into the radial distribution system (RDS), proposed methodology takes into account the load variation as well as changes in generation of the PV systems as distributed generation (DG). Optimal settings of APF is determined using particle swarm optimization (PSO) method. Evaluation of the proposed method is performed on three different study cases. Results show that variation of generation and consumption have significant impact on sizing, allocation and settings of the APFs. Furthermore, results pointed out that in apart from observing thDV, it is also necessary to observe IHD. © 2023 IEEE.

this paper introduced the new achievement from the research on optimization of dual-drive modelling technology for large-scale offshore wind farms. the dual-drive model consisted of data driven and knowledge driven respectively, and the iterative optimization is carried out by multi-parameter optimization neural network algorithm. Virtual twin model is a real-time simulation system formed by dual-drive simulation optimization algorithm, which takes multi-dimensional and multi-body dynamics modelling and multi-time scale simulation calculation as the basis, integrates multiple disciplines simulation and artificial intelligence algorithms, and combines renewable energy generation and integration as a significant result. the large-scale offshore wind farm real-time simulation model has improved the architecture of traditional electromagnetic transient digital simulation of power system. © 2024 IEEE.

Free-Piston Stirling Engine (FPSE) has recently drawn the attention of many researchers and institutions due to the development of micro-reactors. the attributes of FPSEs align well with the demand for a compact, longevity, and high-efficiency power conversion system. Various numerical calculation methods have been developed throughout the years for FPSEs for different applications. SAGE is one of the most famous codes that provides detailed calculations for FPSEs with different configurations and operating conditions. SAGE can be used to model and optimize Stirling cycle engines and various types of coolers. In contrast with most other software, SAGE focuses on calculating gas flow, heat transfer, and modeling details of various specialized model components. this study proposes a model and analysis of the RE-1000 engine built by SunPower and tested by NASA for space applications. At each stage of the modeling process, the complexity of the configuration increases gradually. through this process, an analysis of the significant losses that impact the engine's performance is done. the process also provides theoretical support and guidance on modeling and analysis for the FPSE through SAGE. the primary engine's configuration and dimensions of each component from the RE-1000 engine have been replicated. As the NASA report provides various experiment data for the engine, one experiment is chosen as the validation source for the code. the modeling complexity increases through four stages to achieve the slightest error compared to the validation source. Another analysis on regenerator's porosity has been done to determine the behavior of these changes to the engine's performance. With the validation of the SAGE code, a 20-kW electric FPSE design proposed for microreactor applications is modeled using SAGE code in this study. Overall, SAGE extends the freedom in modeling for the FPSE, and the analysis contributes guidelines to optimize the engine at different configurations

the normal running and operation of pavers is affected by the motor speed synchronization control system. When the motor is subjected to mutation interference, the speed will fluctuate, which will cause the movement trajectory to deviate and reduce the working quality. To realize speed synchronization of traveling motor and the normal operation of pavers, a fuzzy adaptive PID co-simulation method of the valve-controlled motor based on the dingo optimization algorithm was proposed. the co-simulation model of hydraulic system and control system based on dingo optimization algorithm fuzzy adaptive PID is established. the control ability of dingo optimization algorithm and traditional optimization algorithm is compared. the results indicate that the co-simulation model is accurate, the fuzzy adaptive PID control using the dingo optimization algorithm has faster response speed, almost no overshoot, stronger anti-interference ability, and the speed of the traveling motor is controlled synchronously. © 2023 IEEE.

Accurate mathematical modeling of different systems of the human body stands as a key issue in medical and bioengineering applications. this paper specifically considers the continuous-time parameter estimation of the impedance-based mathematical model a mechano-acoustic representation of the subglottal system. this approach allows the customization of the model for each patient. A key advantage of having a patient-dependent model of the subglottal system is to facilitate the ambulatory non-invasive monitoring of the glottal airflow and the assessment of vocal functions, using an accelerometer on the neck skin surface. For this model of the subglottal system, the glottal airflow is the excitation signal, while the acceleration on the neck skin is the system response. In this study, continuous-time parameter estimation of the impedance-based model for the subglottal system is applied, using both frequency response and sampled data through system identification techniques. Large transformers are important devices in the new energy transmission system, and their operational stability is crucial to the power system. Ultrasonic monitoring method is a commonly used means of online monitoring of transformers, but the existing studies mainly focus on transformers of 220kV and below. In order to solve the problem of less research on the characteristics of ultrasonic signal distribution in large transformers, and to provide guidance on the layout method for the application of ultrasonic monitoring method in large transformers, this paper uses the finite element method to simulate the distribution of ultrasonic signals in 500kV transformers, and analyzes the characteristics of ultrasonic signals in different common installation positions, which provides a theoretical basis for the rapid sensing of winding faults on large transformers by ultrasonic detection method. © the Institution of Engineering & Technology 2024.

Energy storage systems recently have played a significant role in energy management system utilized in urban areas. the importance of energy storages is beside the energy buffering ability, mainly related to smoothing energy flows, and minimizing generated energy. therefore, modeling such systems has become increasingly important. To address the dynamic behavior of storage systems, machine learning (ML) techniques require extensive datasets including a variety of features of the systems internal states. However, obtaining such datasets often requires a large number of experiments and measurements. In this paper, the focus is shifted to datasets related to external system's states. A storage system modeling based on ML methods is investigated, considering the power forecasting or the state of charge/discharge (SOC and DOD). the focus is on the following technologies: Batteries (Lithium-ion) and polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cells. Unlike the actual state of art using different storage systems related features such as current, voltage, and inner variables such as inner cell temperature, the actual work is using external features such as environment temperature, input/demand energy and fuel, and time. A real experimental dataset is used to train nonlinear autoregressive exogenous (NARX) and long-short-term memory (LSTM) models to predict the SOC and DOD of the Lithium-ion battery in charge and discharge modes, as well as the power output of the fuel cell. the results show that the NARX model performs better for the battery system, while the LSTM model performs better for the fuel cell system.

this paper presents the efficiency analysis and modeling of a far-field wireless power beaming (WPB) system for 10 - 45 dBm of varying transmitted power. the system includes a 4x4 Vivaldi array antenna array that is used as a transmitter and receiver and are placed 2 m apart in their far-field region. A single-staged voltage doubler rectifier is used as the RF-DC converter. the proposed system is experimentally validated at 6.9 GHz, where the antenna demonstrates a remarkably high return loss (<-15 dB), and gain (21.84 dBi), and the rectifier achieves a rectification efficiency of 80.7%. As the receiver array antenna has 16 elements, 5 different rectifier combinations consisting of various combinations of rectifiers and power combiners are analyzed based on the distributed power at the receiver antenna array. For all the rectifier architecture combinations, the eta RF- RF, eta RF-DC, and eta-Overall are calculated based on measurements over the transmitted power range. the proposed WPB systems show an almost constant system efficiency (1.68% - 1.87%) achieved over the 20 - 45 dBm transmitted power, yielding a received power range of 2.25 - 27.41 dBm.

this paper presents comparative analysis of the effect of implementing various performance indices for water level control in a coupled tank Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) system. the control objective is to regulate the water levels in each tank to desired set points while maintaining stability and minimizing disturbances. the purpose of this paper is to investigate the impact of incorporating different performance indices in the control strategy and evaluate its effectiveness in achieving desired performance of interconnected coupled tanks. Traditional control techniques may struggle to handle the inherent complexity and interactions present in such a system. To address this challenge, various performance indices are introduced to quantify the system's performance and guide the control strategy. Integral absolute error (IAE), Integral of Time multiplied Absolute Error (ITAE), Integral of Time multiplied square error (ISTE) and Integral square error (ISE) are incorporated as the performance indices in the proposed work. the performance index takes into account various factors such as overshoot, steady-state error and settling time. By optimizing the performance index, the control strategy can be tailored to achieve the desired water level control efficiently. the analysis begins with the development of a suitable mathematical model for the coupled tank MIMO system, considering the dynamics of the tanks, interconnections, and control inputs. In addition to the experimentation on hardware, simulations are also conducted to evaluate the responses of different performance indices using particle swarm optimization based PID as a control strategy. the results of the analysis demonstrate the advantages and limitations of incorporating a particular performance index in the control strategy for water level control in a coupled tank system. the findings provide insight into the benefits and challenges of using such an approach and suggest guidelines for designing effi
