Achieving efficacy and economy is an ongoing pursuit for the construction industry. However, challenges within Building Information modeling (BIM) based multidisciplinary coordination and the significant occurrence of clashes within federated models hinder the full potential of this collaborative technology’s utilization in BIM-based practices . In the past, clash management strategies predominantly focused on enhancing the technical efficiency of automated clash detection tools. More recently, research in clash management has also delved into the exploration of automated clash resolution methods. However, the facet of clash presentation within the BIM process remains largely overlooked in the existing body of literature. Clash management constitutes a holistic framework encompassing prevention, detection, and resolution. Highlighting the significance of the underexplored prevention component in the current stage of clash management research bears noteworthy importance for the broader field of clash management within the framework of BIM. Analysis revealed a noteworthy connection between clash origins, their solutions, and their primary impact phases within BIM coordination. Significantly, it was determined that most clashes are rooted in the early stages of the BIM coordination process, particularly during the formulation of the BIM coordination strategy and the development of specialized BIM models. Drawing from these insights, a proactive clash prevention strategy was formulated that leverages the expertise of BIM professionals and actively incorporates the industry’s ‘lessons learned’ into the initial phases of BIM coordination. this paper delves into the compilation of "lessons learned" or "industry rules for clash prevention". these insights were validated through consultations with BIM experts and construction practitioners. the dimensions of these rules, their application phases, and the methods of implementation were also identified. Additionally, the devel

In this paper, the problem of MISO systems control is studied. Two new methods are developed to design fractional PID controllers. the first one is based on the use of time-domain specifications (percentage of overshoot and setting time). It consists of minimizing a time-domain criterion without constraints. the second method is based on the use of frequency-domain specifications (phase margin φ m and unity-gain crossover frequency ω u ). It consists of minimizing a frequency-domain criterion with respect to constraints. In both methods, a nonlinear optimization technique is used to tune the parameters of all SISO fractional PID controllers designed for all SISO subsystems composing the MISO system. the performances of fractional PID controllers are analyzed through a numerical example. they are compared to the performances obtained by the rational PI controllers.

To enhance security and increase inter-area power transmission capacity of sending-end power systems of large-scale new energy, a systemic approach is proposed of parameter optimization of dynamic reactive power compensation devices of Synchronous Condenser (SC) and Static Var Generator (SVG) in new energy power stations. the critical contingencies that restricting transmission capacity is screened out for the purpose of variable number reduction. Meanwhile, controlled and control variables are reduced through checking of fulfilment of stability and fault ride through requirements and evaluation of trajectory sensitivities. A quadratic optimization model is established, whose objective function is minimization of the difference between the voltage response and expectation curve under critical contingencies. the established quadratic model is linearized by Taylor’s series expansion and solved sequentially accompany with multiple calling of the transient simulation. the proposed approach is tested in a real power system with large scale new energy power and Ultra-High Voltage DC (UHVDC) and Ultra-High Voltage AC (UHVAC) lines for inter-area transmission. the optimized parameters of SVG and SC are applied and the results prove that they can make voltage fulfil the requirements under critical contingencies, enhance the security and increase the inter-area transmission capacity.
In this paper a processor-sharing queueing system is investigated. Two types of customers enter the system according a marked Markovian arrival process. It is assumed that the number of customers of each type simultan...

Reliability and robustness to external influences are important characteristics for using humanoid robots outside of laboratory conditions. this paper proposes a closed-loop system to let the robots recover from falling over using stand-up motion trajectories based on quintic spline interpolation. By applying IMU-based PD controllers, faster and more reliable motions can be executed. the paper also explores the usage of parameter optimization methods, which can find suitable parameter sets quickly and are able to find solutions that are unlikely to be discovered via manual search.
