Armature, as an important part of the electromagnetic launch system, is a current carrier which converts electric energy into kinetic energy of projectiles, and it often suffers extreme environment in the launch process. therefore, the performance of launch system is directly affected by the armature whose structure is the fundamental of the application of launch technology. Among various armature types, solid armatures are the most widely used because of some characteristics of them, like high efficiency and low mass. Based on some key functions of solid armatures, three kinds of requirements including current-carrying capacity, mechanical pressure and electromagnetic contact pressure are proposed in this paper. To address the issue of particle depletion caused by resampling in traditional particle filter algorithms, an unscented particle filter algorithm (PSO-UPF) based on particle swarm optimization is proposed to enhance the number of particles and improve estimation accuracy. the study first examines the principles and implementation process of the particle swarm optimization algorithm, then compares the similarities and differences between particle swarm optimization and particle filter algorithms, focusing on how particle swarm optimization can alleviate the particle depletion problem. the effect of each particle is improved, and the basic steps of PSO-UPF algorithm are given. Simulation results indicate that the proposed algorithm significantly improves the system's robustness, real-time performance and effectiveness of the system compared with PF, UPF and PSO-PF.

this paper describes the functionality of the developed simulation system "Inter-district Road Traffic". the modeling of traffic flows on a city map divided into districts has been considered. To solve the problems of traffic optimization and the placement of traffic objects, a two-stage model has been selected, including the matrices of correspondence between districts and traffic distribution along the routes of the transport network. the first block of the two-stage model has been calculated numerically using the Sinkhorn algorithm. the second block has been calculated using the universal method of similar triangles. the developed modeling tool can be used to solve traffic optimization problems in an urban environment - to find optimal traffic in the city between districts, taking into account the location of houses, the intensity of flows, the distribution of flows along routes and other additional conditions. When developing the application, the open source React library has been used to create user interfaces, and D3 (an open source JavaScript library for data visualization) has been used to visualize graphs and work with data.

the European energy transition requires the expansion of renewable generators and consequently, the expansion of grid infrastructure and flexibility options. When modelling complex energy systems, the application of decomposition techniques is reasonable to keep models computationally tractable. Our paper focuses on the efficient optimization of energy systems covering large geographic areas. To accelerate the solving process, we apply a variant of Benders decomposition, which does not only apply temporal but also spatial decomposition. We show that by applying our decomposition approach, the solving time decreases up to 75% compared to the runtime of the equivalent monolithic model solved by a commercial solver and the barrier algorithm. Furthermore, we show that additionally applying spatial decomposition results in time savings compared to an only temporally decomposed approach.

this paper presents the optimal design of a deployable and reconfigurable cable-driven parallel robot. Cable robots offer a practical solution to large-scale manipulation tasks. they use cables instead of rigid links to control the end-effector motion. To enable rapid deployment and workspace reconfiguration, the actuation and guiding units can be integrated into the end-effector so that the latter can be easily mounted on different frames. In this case, the end-effector geometry must be optimized taking into account several potential frame configurations. To this end, this paper introduces a novel gradient-based optimization method, designed to maximize the volume and symmetry of the wrench-feasible workspace.
