In the context of Industrial Internet of things, the deployment of AI-based anomaly detection algorithms in resource-constrained environments is critical. this paper systematically evaluates the complexity and real-time performance of widely used machine learning models-Random Forests, Support Vector Machines, Linear Regression, XGBoost, Neural Networks, and Autoencoders. through comprehensive theoretical analysis and empirical measurements on four diverse datasets, we identify the strengths and limitations of each model in terms of computational demands and practical feasibility. Our findings highlight that while complex models like Neural Networks and Autoencoders offer high accuracy on time series datasets, their deployment on edge devices necessitates significant optimization for real-time performance. In contrast, simpler models, though less resource-intensive, may fall short in critical applications. this study provides a decision matrix and structured evaluation framework to guide the selection of efficient anomaly detection models tailored to specific operational constraints. these contributions aim to assist developers and system administrators in achieving balanced AI deployments that optimize performance, security, explainability, and resource consumption.

Electromagnetic railgun have high initial velocity, long range and other advantages. Improving the launch efficiency is one of the most important needs for the application of electromagnetic rail launch technology. Based on the subsystem models of pulse power supply, rail and armature of railgun, the equivalent circuit mathematical model of the electromagnetic rail gun system under lumped parameters is established. the effects of capacitance, voltage, inductance, resistance and acceleration distance on the system efficiency were simulated and analyzed. the results of the study are of great significance in guiding the design of the electromagnetic launch system.

In this paper, according to the problem that the classical Preisach hysteresis model cannot accurately describe the reversible magnetization in the process of material magnetization, the reversible magnetization component is calculated by using the experimental data of reversible permeability by analyzing the reversible magnetization process. At the same time, aiming at the problem that the distribution function is difficult to determine in irreversible magnetization, the inverted Preisach model based on the inverted switch operator and improved distribution function is proposed. By using the inverted switch hysteresis operator, the parametric distribution function is obtained. By coupling the waveform factor in the distribution function, the identification of hysteresis loop under low magnetic density is strengthened. the parameters of parametric distribution function are obtained by identifying the limit hysteresis loop by velocity-controlled particle swarm optimization (VCPSO) algorithm. In the numerical calculation, the amplitude correction coefficient in the discrete formula is extracted by the basic magnetization curve. Finally, the validity and accuracy of the hysteresis model are verified by experimental comparison.

Research for the optimization problem when designing mechanical system is often time consuming and may require numerous efforts in finding the optimal parameters. In this study, an example of finding optimal parameters of the Passive Dynamic Vibration Absorbers (PDVA) of the ropeway carriage system is proposed. By using the time domain response for auto-tuning, this experiment aims at providing an fast and intuitive method for engineers to fast prototyping using simulation results. the experiment demonstrate that this concept is successful, and suitable for future applications for systems with similar dynamic response.

the demand for reusable design has become essential in today’s fast-paced world, driving the integration of Intellectual Property (IP) into integrated circuit design. While digital IPs are favored for their ease of development, reconfiguration, and reuse, analog/RF IPs often lack flexibility, offering only a single general solution and requiring design iterations to meet specific targets. Automatic synthesis tools promise relief for this inflexibility, yet balancing accuracy and efficiency remains crucial for analog/RF IP reuse and resizing. Circuit modeling via artificial neural networks (ANNs) has emerged as a solution to this challenge. In this paper, we present an open-source analog/IP for SkyWater130nm technology developed through an ANN-supported analog/RF multi-objective automation tool. ANN circuit models are tested as performance estimators in the optimization loop, eliminating the need for a circuit simulator. Further validation is conducted by comparing obtained Paretooptimal fronts (POF) with SPICE results. We demonstrate results for four distinct analog/RF building blocks, with the generated IP offering multiple solution points for each circuit and ANN-based models for immediate fine-tuning or new designs.

Federated learning (FL) is a new approach that allows clients from different locations to work together on a global model without sharing raw data. However, training one standard model is not optimal for local optimization due to heterogeneity. thus, personalized federated learning (PFL) paradigms aim to combine local and global information while preserving diversity among local clients. However, these methods require more theoretical motivation. this paper formalizes the unfired analysis form by defining a linear mapping on the server’s aggregation step for a deeper understanding of the implementation design and to improve existing methods further. Moreover, we show that the existing FL and PFL methods are specific cases in our framework with selected mapping matrices, including FedAvg, FedMTL, FedProx, MAML, and pure local training. Based on that, we propose a novel data-driven graph Laplacian-induced PFL scheme named GLIP-FL to address statistical heterogeneity issues and improve computation efficiency. We implement evaluation experiments of the proposed method on four popular data sets with five FL baselines in three data partitions, both homogeneous and heterogeneous, and the comprehensive experiments show the great potential of our method. © the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

With the increasing depletion of traditional energy sources, developing clean and renewable new energy has become the only way out for sustainable human development. At the policy level in China, the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China proposed the goal of actively and steadily promoting carbon peak and carbon neutrality. this requires based on the endowment of energy resources, adhering to the principle of first establishing and then breaking, and implementing the carbon peak action in a planned and step-bystep manner. In the face of this situation, the research and application of new energy systems are particularly important. Planning is the most direct basis for developing and constructing new energy systems. Currently, research on distributed energy planning for regional new energy systems is not yet complete, and there is a lack of planning optimization strategies based on regional equipment characteristics. this study proposes a regional level planning optimization method from the perspective of distributed energy systems, which is beneficial for extending the vertical system of energy planning. In combination with the background of energy Internet, it has realized the innovation and supplement on the planning system and method of distributed cooling stations of regional new energy system.

the escalating capacity of offshore wind power introduces substantial challenges for offshore integration and transmission systems. Diode rectifier unit (DRU) based high voltage direct current (HVDC) system has been acknowledged as a potential method to achieve economical offshore wind power transmission. For the purpose of the uncontrollability of DRU, grid-forming (GFM) converters are necessary to support offshore AC voltage. Moreover, the clamping effect of DRU cause unconventional power characteristic of active power-voltage and reactive power-frequency, thus leading to untraditional control loop. Simultaneously, due to the immaturity of GFM converters, grid-following (GFL) converters could be applied for a long period. However, considering the effect of the phase-locked loops (PLL), the stability of entire system is decreased. In this regard, this article aims at studying the dq-frame impedance model of GFL converters and DRU based GFM converters, which including active power-voltage loop and reactive power-frequency loop. Finally, a simulation of the two converters are built in MATLAB/Simulink, results are shared to prove the correctness.

the analysis of the typical configuration of LMS Moodle is performed. the classification of plugins and system processes according to the criterion of competitive load on the system is given on the basis of statistical data collected on the example of training courses of electrotechnical specialties of KrNU. Based on the experience of LMS Moodle implementing, recommendations are given to administrators, lecturers and department heads to optimize the load on the Moodle system. It is investigated that such recommendations allow to reduce the peak load of the system by 15-20% in average. © 2021 IEEE.

this paper deals with a preliminary study of swing trajectory optimization of ground walking quadruped robot, ST-Quad. We aim to generate an optimal foot trajectory with minimal torque operating on the joints during the swing motion. Based on the dynamics of the robot leg with 4-DOF during swinging between arbitrary initial and final positions, we calculate a trajectory that minimizes the summation of joint torques. through this, it can be known that the torque tendency at an arbitrary position and the optimal trajectory at that position. Finally, we validate the trajectory optimization algorithm through gazebo simulations and experiments using ST-Quad.
