this paper addresses the optimistic statement of one class of bilevel optimization problems (BOPs) with a nonconvex lower level. Namely, we study BOPs with a convex quadratic objective function at the upper level and with a bimatrix game at the lower level. It is known that the problem of finding a Nash equilibrium point in a bimatrix game is equivalent to the special nonconvex optimization problem with a bilinear structure. Nevertheless, we can replace such a lower level with its optimality conditions and transform the original bilevel problem into a single-level nonconvex optimization problem. then we apply the original Global Search theory (GST) for general D.C. optimization problems and the Exact Penalization theory to the resulting problem. After that, a special method of local search, which takes into account the structure of the problem under consideration, is developed. © 2021, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

We propose in this work a new algorithm of optimization named Crow Search Algorithm CSA to elicit neuro-fuzzy model such TS type. In the proposed study, a particle is formed by two tasks: its structure and its parameters. the CSA algorithm was compared with others: GA and PSO through a modeling of nonlinear system. the results prove that CSA method gives optimal mean of MSE and optimal of standard deviation of MSE compared to GA and PSO. © 2020 IEEE.

the integration of renewable generation requires new sources of flexibility, including the flexibility from distributed resources that can be unlocked via local flexibility markets (LFMs). In these markets, aggregators (AGGs) offer the flexibility from their portfolios to the flexibility requesting parties (FRP), i.e. system operators or other balancing requesting parties. To bid in LFMs and manage market uncertainty, AGGs must compute the flexibility they are willing to offer at each possible flexibility market price, by optimizing their portfolios. this paper proposes a 2-stage methodology to compute the flexibility bidding curve that an energy community can send to a LFM when behaving as an AGG of its members resources. At stage 1, the energy community (EC) manager computes the optimal EC operation without flexibility provision, minimizing the EC energy bill, and serving as the baseline to verify the flexibility provision. then, at stage 2, for each possible flexibility price, the EC manager computes the optimal flexibility to be offered, minimizing the EC energy bill but including the flexibility provision incomes, to build the flexibility bidding curve.

While voice-controlled automated Wheelchair-mounted robotic arms (WMRAs) could potentially offer more natural and simplified interactions than manual control, they introduce new challenges related to human-robot collaboration. To explore user expectations in terms of functionality and interface, we conducted semi-structured interviews with 13 powered wheelchair users who have upper limb impairments. A prototype with a robotic arm, a camera, and a Unity-based simulated interface was developed to help users understand the concept and functionality of the voice-controlled automated WMRA system during interviews. With safety as a priority, we found that users prioritized the WMRA's ability to grasp objects in challenging positions, such as on the ground or at high locations, and emphasized the need for a versatile gripper. Users also expected the WMRA to assist in performing complex daily tasks, with varying expectations for its performance based on task difficulty. Regarding the interface, users sought more information about the system's awareness and task execution, while emphasizing the importance of avoiding information overload. the demand for detailed safety information, such as temperature and gripping force, pointed to the need for enhanced sensor capabilities in the WMRA system. Additionally, concerns about privacy underscored the need for clear communication on privacy policies. Our results provide user-centered insights for automated WMRA, offering design implications and future research directions in areas such as user modeling, hardware, algorithms, and interface development.

General purpose graphic processor unit (GPGPU) supports various applications' execution in different fields with high-performance computing capability due to its powerful parallel processing architecture. However, GPGPU parallel processing architecture also has the "memory wall" issue. When memory access in application is intensive or irregular, memory resource competition occurs and then degrade the performance of memory system. In addition, with multithreads' requirement for different on-chip resources such as register and warp slot being inconsistant, as well as the branch divergence irregular computing applications, the development of thread level parallelism (TLP) is severely restrited. Due to the restrictions of memory access and TLP, the acceleration capability of GPGPU large-scale parallel processing architecture has not been developed effectively. Alleviating memory resource contention and improving TLP is the performance optimization hotspot for current GPGPU architecture. In this paper we research how memory access optimization and TLP improvement could contribute to the optimization of parallel processing architecture performance. First we find that memory access optimization could be accomplished by three ways: reducing the number of global memory access, improving memory access latency hiding capability and optimizing cache subsystem performance. then in order to improve TLP, optimizing thread allocation scheme, developing data approximation and redundancy, as well as compacting branch divergence, researches of these three aspects are surveyed. We also analyze the working mechanism, advantages and challenges of each research. At the end, we suggest the direction of future GPGPU parallel processing architecture optimization.

Building performance simulation is being increasingly deployed beyond the building design phase, pre-design phase to support building operation. Specifically, the predictive feature of the simulation-assisted building systems control strategy provides distinct advantages in view how the design on building works. Strategies can be done in the pre-design phase by optimizing the energy efficiency by using the building performance simulation with several criteria such as construction materials, indoor materials, sizes of openings, air conditioning system, water management system, number of equipments used, the lighting systems, and many more. optimization building performance and energy efficiency strategies that are evaluated through thermal performance simulating of a design are the preparatory stages that need to be carried out before the design realized. this phase is required in this project because the priority is optimization and efficiency energy though this paper using software in the pre-design design stage. the container for an activity needs to be specifically cleared and material specifications need to be detailed from roofs to floor until shading and the pre-design get the right strategy on pre-design study phase. "In this paper, we use the Sefaira plugin in the sketch-up modeling application. this application can calculate the total energy used by buildings in a year. Items that affect the total calculation (of energy) simulation are the (criteria mentioned above) material, window area, and the climate of the environment (By changing the material, window area, we are trying to improve the optimization of the energy used in this building within one year. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

the increasing number of events usually formed a committee in small to large fields involving event organizers. In this study, the survey results were used to Telkom University students in Roadshow, Try Out and other committees. However, there are often problems in the implementation process caused by poor planning and supervision processes to have less clear financial statements. To anticipate this problem and create a web application-based event management application that provides appropriate budget recommendations. So, by using Genetics Algorithm is an optimization algorithm that can provide optimal results. this application is expected to help financial management reduce errors in the budgeting creation process and provide recommendations to users. Based on the test results, three experiments were carried out to see the optimal fitness value. In the first test, the densest optimal fitness value is between the +/- 18th generation out of a total of 50 generations. In the second experiment, the optimal fitness value is between the 20th generation to the 30th generation. In the last experiment, the optimal fitness value is between the 2nd generation to the 10th generation. this difference occurs because the random values used in each experiment are different. In this study, the genetic algorithm succeeded in recommending goods that match the maximum budget parameters of the division, indoor or outdoor category.

Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) have recently emerged as enablers for a range of use cases in 5G networks, one of which uses them as airborne base stations to intermittently service mobile customers in emergency scenarios, uncovered or hard-to-reach places. the employment of a completely bio-inspired model in the navigation and placement of these UAVs is a challenging task. In this paper, we propose a bio-inspired neuron model for addressing the problem of deploying multiple UAV-mounted base stations optimally in 3D space while adopting their positions as users move around within the 5G network. We formulate the 3D deployment problem as a vector model using electrostatic forces and neurovectors, a representation of vectors in space using populations of neurons. the model was tested and evaluated based on various parameters, according to different scenarios. the results have demonstrated that our neurovector-based solution offers efficient performance in terms of data rate and high agility to navigate around obstacles and complex environments. Moreover, our solution outperforms existing approaches in their adaptability to users’ movements. As it maintains superior stability with reduced fluctuations, and ensures a high percentage (around 90%) of connected users. In addition, the proposed solution optimizes UAV speed to minimize energy consumption, contributing to enhanced coverage duration and overall sustainability.

Human-robot interaction plays a vital role in pushing the capabilities of socially interactive robots by enabling them to deliver content with high emotional intelligence. this research focuses on a supervisory fuzzy framework for constantly evaluating and improving the content delivered by the robot utilizing multimodal inputs and advanced intelligent algorithms. the main reason for using fuzzy logic is that it mimics human decision-making by providing a percentage-based measure of closeness. In this project, ARI Robot is being used with an LLM integration, which enables the user to communicate with the robot. Different algorithms were integrated for the classification of multimodal inputs, BERT (Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers) for the classification of content, Wav2Vec 2.0 for classifying the tone of the user while interacting with the robot, and OpenFace for classifying the facial expression of the user. All of these inputs are then supervised by a fuzzy system with predefined rules to evaluate the content delivered and provide feedback for refinement. the proposed framework ensures an overall evaluation of content delivery, providing intelligent feedback to the ARI robot to improve interaction quality. By integrating these advanced models with fuzzy logic, the system mimics human-like judgment in assessing the interaction of verbal and non-verbal indications, making the way for emotionally intelligent robots in a social world. © 2025 IEEE.

UUV(Unmanned Underwater Vehicle) is an important unmanned weapon system capable of surveillance and reconnaissance missions in threatened areas. For the UUV's power system, fuel cell and battery hybrid system capable of long submersion time and high efficiency have been widely developed. In the fuel cell and battery hybrid system, energy efficiency can be improved by power split optimization according to the power demand from UUV that changes in real time. the optimization process allows each battery and fuel cell system to be operated at the optimal point. In case of submarine, since the operation scenario is limited to a few and it mostly operates within a given mission scenario, dynamic programming method can be an efficient optimization method. therefore, in this paper, we are introducing 30-day operational UUV fuel cell-battery system under development. And also, we found optimal operating point of fuel cell and battery system through dynamic programming method.
