Catadioptric panoramic image's application to computer visual field gains its popularity in recent years. However, due to its complicated imaging relationship, most existing mismatching elimination algorithms cannot directly operate on the unprocessed panoramic images. those above algorithms usually need to unwarp the panoramic images before further processing. In order to solve the above problems, based on the distribution characteristics of features in the panoramic image, a novel mismatching elimination algorithm is proposed in this paper. Under different scene conditions, the novel algorithm can eliminate the mismatching features and improve the matching accuracy effectively. Experiments on the image databases confirm its effectiveness.

After discussing the roles of marine engineers and interaction designers from computer science (CS)/information systems (IS), I investigate issues with the aim of promoting better cooperative systems for maritime industries. As part of my research project, I have observed marine operations and interviewed bridge operators, captains, and crewmembers, as well as engine engineers in their workplace, in order to investigate how cooperative work occurs in current marine operational systems. Against the background of computer supported cooperative work (CSCW), I look into how to improve systems to support safety-critical operations for offshore services at sea. Most safety-critical operations occur as part of cooperative operations and interactions between operators and systems. Engineers and interaction designers should cooperate to design cooperative systems with users in the early stages. However, there is not a common understanding between engineers and interaction designers regarding the meaning of cooperative work. In order to improve computer systems to support marine cooperative work, a new understanding of marine technology is necessary where design needs are met through the integration of engineering design, CS/IS theoretical thinking, and work practices. Human operators, systems, and materials used in workspaces are actors deeply lived in work environments;hence, I discuss a means of adopting Bannon's concept of human actors toward the development of an actor-network design of cooperative systems.

Ultrasound imaging procedures are deemed as one of the most convenient and least invasive medical diagnostic imaging modalities and have been widely utilized in health care providers, which are expecting semiautomatic or fully-automatic imaging systems to reduce the current clinical workloads. this paper presents a portable and wearable soft robotic system which has been designed with the purpose of replacing the manual operation to cooperatively steer the ultrasound probe. this human-compliant soft robotic system, which is equipped with four separated parallel soft pneumatic actuators and is able to achieve movements in three directions. Vacuum suction force is introduced to attach the robot onto the intended body location. the design and fabrication of this soft robotic system are illustrated. To our knowledge, this is the first body-attached soft robot for compliant ultrasound imaging. the feasibility of the system is demonstrated through proof-of-concept experiments.

Aiming at shortcomings of the existing cooperative laying mines method in the joint blockade combat, a new method of cooperative laying mines with the submarine and reconnaissance force is advanced. In the joint blockade combat, reconnaissance forces perform different tasks at different stages of lay mines, and according to different tasks, firstly, cooperative laying mines models of reconnaissance forces for battlefield warning and battlefield guide are constructed respectively. And, the calculation model of mine lines is optimized, then, the cooperate-guide-lay mines model of reconnaissance force and submarine is improved. Finally, the constructed models are simulated, and simulation results show models are rational and effective, moreover, they are more suitable for actual laying mines.

Crowdsourcing platforms such as Amazon Mechanical Turk (AMT), oDesk, InnoCentive, Science Exchange and others are on rapid rise in recent years. By outsourcing work to a network of people, they provide a more economical and efficient means of production. But essentially, crowdsourcing platforms are not the only means to outsource work to a crowd through the Internet. Studies in China, for example, have shown that quite some crowd works are accomplished through QQ (an Chinese instant messaging software) or other communication tools. So what are the advantages and disadvantages of using current crowdsourcing platforms, and how can they better designed? With these questions, and to better inform the design of future crowdsourcing platforms, we conducted a comparative study of crowd work with and without crowdsourcing platforms. In this paper, we present the study, and discuss advantages and disadvantages of using current crowdsourcing platforms in comparison to using QQ and other means for crowd work. We then end by suggesting implications for design for future crowdsourcing platforms.

the most commonly image retrieval method is based on the text at present. the big workload is one of the disadvantages of this approach, it also needs to add tags artificiality, which has a strong subjectivity. More and more people developed themselves into the research of content-based image retrieval technology, and so far there is not a universal retrieval method for any image. In this paper, a interactive retrieval method is realized, and the thought of the optimizing the feedback results by the human-computer interaction is put forward. Some methods for eigenvalue extraction such as the edge detection, the extraction of gray histogram and brightness histogram are studied. these algorithms are also used in the image retrieval system. Experimental results on the STANFORD VERSION LAB 101 Object Categories image library, show the efficiency of the proposed methods. the structure of the paper is as follows: chapter one is the introduction, chapter two is about the five feature extraction algorithms used in the system, chapter three is the idea of eigenvalue storage, chapter four is the experiment on this system, and chapter five is the conclusion.

With the rapid development of LTE-Advanced (LTE-A) mobile communication technology, companies continue to file for new patents or obtain licenses from patent assignees to secure the right to use LTE-A related intellectual properties (IPs) for product commercialization. there are many standard essential patents (SEPs) complying with LTE-A specifications set by the third generation partnership project (3GPP). LTE-A patent pools are collaborative efforts to gather SEPs from IP owners to reduce the process time of SEP licensing for manufacturers. this research develops the computer supported analysis process for the comparative study of two major LTE-A patent pools (i.e., Sisvel and Via Licensing). the first step is to search the ETSI database for LTE-A SEPs. the second step analyzes the patents in both pools based on IPC classification and LTE-A ontology definition. the main goal of the research is to reveal the patent profiles of LTE-A patent pools for collaborative and collective SEP licensing, which enables LTE-A technology developers and adopters (such as mobile device manufacturers) to fully cooperate in new product development and commercialization efficiently and economically.

Location based services are the hottest applications on mobile device nowadays. Indoor wireless position is the key technology to enable location based service to work well indoors, where Global Position System normally couldn't work. the main tendency of indoor wireless position is based on Bluetooth and RSSI (radio signal strength indicator). RSSI is the key parameter for wireless position. But values of RSSI are affected by environment factors easily. Because of this reason, results got from the indoor location technology are usually imprecise and unacceptable. In this paper, an adaptive algorithm based on Distance-Loss model in complex environment is introduced to deal with such problems. the algorithm makes the model adapt to the environment by several parameters which are not influenced by environment. the stability and the accuracy of the algorithm is evidenced by a series of strict experiences. © 2016 ieee.

Currently a growing number of enterprises construct virtual organization(VO)s to meet the demands of social diversity and offer personalized services by forming collaborative service chains. However, service supply chains are usually combinations of different services offered by collaborative service providers. thus, how to correctly analyze the closeness of social relationship between service providers and improve the reliability and efficiency of collaborations are the key to the research. To improve the reliability and efficiency of a VO by analyzing social relationship among members of the VO in collaborative works and combining VO trust evaluation mechanism, a Group-Peer(G2P) trust model is presented in this paper, then a Greedy Group Selection algorithm based on social relationship (GGSSR) is proposed which can select nodes by trust values from group members and the tightness between group members. GGSSR not only improves the success rate of VO services but also inhibit gains of malicious nodes, making the earnings of VOs grow over time. © 2016 ieee.
