The stock market price is influenced by many factors both domestic and international factors. To help stock traders in make buying or selling decision, a stock price prediction model is needed. In this paper, a stock closing price prediction system is introduced. We utilized 17 financial factors, i.e., 8 technical analysis factors (Crude oil price, Gold spot, Thai Baht to US Dollar exchange rate, High price, Low price, Opening price, Closing price, and Volume) and 9 fundamental factors (Exponential moving average, Relative strength index, Current ratio, Return on equity ratio, Return on assets ratio, Net profit margin ratio, Debt to equity ratio, Price to earning ratio, and Price to book value) from 18 previous working days as our inputs. We then computed chaos centroids from each factor. Finally, to predict the Monday closing price, the fuzzy support vector regression with the grey wolf optimization is utilized. There are 29 companies in 6 industry groups, i.e., RESOURCE, SERVICE, INDUS, PROPCON, AGRO, and TECH, considered in this research. We found that the minimum root mean square error of the blind test set is 0.3698 and the maximum of that is 11.66. However, the prediction trend of each company is very similar to the real closing price.

The existing guiding technology of ropeless lifting system has the problem of difficult to ensure the air gap uniform during dynamic operation, which causes the vibration and noise between wheel and rail. To address this issue, a novel hybrid excited flux-reversal linear machine with characteristic of air gap balanced (HEFRLM-AGB) is proposed in this paper. Due to the space confliction between armature and field windings in conventional hybrid-excited machine, the partitioned primary structure with permanent magnet inset is employed to reduced flux leakage and enhance the power density, meanwhile, the two field windings are applied to flexible modulate the air gap magnetic field. Firstly, the topology, operation principle and flux regulation mechanism are introduced. Then, considering the complex magnetic path, the improved Taguchi multi-objective optimization method is used to obtain the optimal deterministic values. Finally, the machine design and optimization method are evaluated and verified by both finite element analysis and prototype experiments.

This paper presents a stochastic optimization-based algorithm to perceive the location and size of multiple solar photovoltaic (PV) generations in a distribution network optimally, focusing on supplying water system loads. The presented algorithm accounts for the uncertainty of PV production and load power demand. The solar irradiance real data for three years is used to extract representative solar irradiance profiles on different days and seasons using the k-means clustering algorithm. An IEEE 33-bus radial distribution test network has been implemented for the case study, and water stations are located within this grid. The load demand of water transmission stations is predicted based on historical data, and the uncertainty is modeled employing the normal probability distribution function. The outcomes demonstrated that the proposed stochastic planning model effectively addresses the PV generation uncertainty and optimally identifies the placement and capacity of PV units.

The Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) was created to prevent the breach of personal information of users of computer systems without the data owner's consent. One type of data that frequently has problems with privacy violations is images and videos. Because of difficult control, as a result, there are often extraneous people in the frame instead of just the intended subject. If the person caught in the frame does not want this information published, there will be a problem with that video. This causes the identity of the person to be concealed so that they can be identified. Although doing this is an acceptable method, censorship is labor-intensive and time-consuming. For these reasons, we proposed the Automated Face Selection and Censoring on Image and Video system using Multi-Task Cascaded Convolutional Neural Networks (MTCNN) Model to automatically detect the face and censor only unwanted persons. Furthermore, our proposed method also executes an automated system that can sense and ignore some frames that are not essential or redundant with other nearby frames to reduce complex processing and time-consumption.

Business process modeling and system dynamics are different approaches that are used in the design and management of organizations. Both approaches are concerned with the processes in, and around, organizations with the aim to identify, design and understand their behavior as well as potential improvements. At the same time, these approaches differ considerably in their methodological focus. While business process modeling specifically takes the (control flow of) business processes as its primary focus, system dynamics takes the analysis of complex and multi-faceted systems as its core focus. More explicitly combining both approaches has the potential to better model and analyze (by way of simulation) complex business processes, while specifically also including more relevant facets from the environment of these business processes. Furthermore, the inherent ability for simulation of system dynamics models, can be used to simulate the behavior of processes over time, while also putting business processes in a broader multi-faceted context. In this paper, we report on initial results on making such a more explicit combination of business process modeling and system dynamics. In doing so, we also provide a step-by-step guide on how to use BPMN based models and system dynamics models together to model and analyze complex business processes, while illustrating this in terms of a case study on the maintenance of building facades.

To address challenging issues in wireless communications, researchers have developed deep learning (DL)-based techniques, yielding encouraging outcomes. However, commonly adopted neural network (NN) architectures, such as convolutional (CNNs) and multi-layer perceptrons, are derived from DL for image processing applications and are not specifically tailored to tackle wireless network challenges. Consequently, they often exhibit poor generalization and scalability issues in large-scale networks and unknown network environments. Graph neural networks (GNNs) have gained recent popularity as a solution to these challenges due to their ability to effectively utilize domain knowledge and graph topology in wireless communications. GNN-based techniques demonstrate nearly optimal performance in massive networks and show good generalization across various system configurations. To leverage GNNs in wireless systems, we have designed a cell-free massive MIMO (CF-mMIMO) system, presented as a GNN structure. The proposed CF-mMIMO system is employed to analyze the effectiveness of different GNN models and various optimization algorithms. The system exhibits effective performance against optimal benchmarks and provides valuable insights for the next-generation research community.

Research on the Location of Cross-Border Logistics Hub for the Belt and Road Initiative

To establish the cross-border logistics hub network for China's Belt and Road Initiative, this study proposes a multi-objective hub location model that integrates two novel metrics: hub network utilization rate and hub economic stimulating effect. These metrics are formulated to evaluate resource efficiency and regional economic growth potential, respectively, and are incorporated into the optimization framework. The model is solved using the non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm III (NSGA-III) with a training population, yielding a Pareto-optimal solution of 44 international logistics hubs across the Belt and Road regions, including Asia, Europe, West Africa, Oceania, and Central America. Results demonstrate that prioritizing these two objectives significantly enhances their performance: every time doubling the cost, the hub network utilization rate increases to 1.71 times and the hub economic stimulating effect rises to 1.60 times the baseline. This highlights the model's theoretical and practical value in improving resource efficiency and fostering sustainable economic development for the Belt and Road countries at lower costs. Key management insights include advancing cross-border railroads linking China and the Middle East to integrate the China Railway Express with East China, incorporating strategic ports in Oceania and North Africa into the "21st-Century Maritime Silk Road", enhancing seaport hubs in South China and Southern Europe, and exploring direct routes between western China and South America. These measures aim to strengthen connectivity, optimize hub utilization, and amplify economic synergies across the Belt and Road network.

This study presents a comprehensive techno-economic planning of a rural distribution system utilizing Elephant Herd optimization (EHO). The study considers the IEEE-33 bus distribution system with grid outages replicating the conditions prevalent in remote regions. The multi-objective formulated problem is solved using the EHO technique in MATLAB to achieve the optimal sizing and placement for distributed energy resources (DERs). The planning objective aims to minimize the net present cost (NPC), energy not supplied (ENS), loss of load expectation (LOLE), and line losses. The results show that line losses are reduced by 56.2%, whereas ENS and LOLE are reduced by 99.64% and 99.56%, respectively. Moreover, the minimum voltage magnitude has been improved from 0.88 p.u. to 0.95 p.u. The insights gained from this study can help decision-makers make informed decisions on deploying energy infrastructure in remote regions while considering economic and technical aspects of power distribution system planning. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper proposes a continuum-based sensitivity analysis for an optimal shape design of a time-harmonic electroquasistatic (EQS) system. The material derivative concept, which originates from continuum mechanics, is employed for deriving the shape sensitivity formula. All the boundaries of the EQS system are considered its design variables. The Lagrange multiplier method, adjoint variable technique, and variational identity are sequentially applied to the material derivative of an augmented objective function. Thereby, the sensitivity formula is obtained in an analytical form and expressed by a boundary integral. Since the continuum shape sensitivity is evaluated prior to the discretization process of the finite element method (FEM), it can be easily and accurately calculated using commerical FEM software. The smooth expression of the shape-variation is implemented by combining the shape sensitivity with the level-set method. The shape optimization problem in the three-dimension is presented to demonstrate the theoretical validity and numerical feasibility of this study.

this article evaluates the thermal performance of a solar water heating system utilizing a parabolic trough concentrator (PTC). The main goal is to simulate PTC operational parameters using a single-dimensional numerical heat exchange analysis. The receiver, glass envelope, and fluid were segmented and energy balances derived for each section. The partial differential equations that regulate the system were discretized into algebraic formulations and solved concurrently. This study utilized MATLAB programming to solve for direct normal irradiance (DNI) using the Capderou model. DNI was modeled for the equinoxes (March 21st and September 21st) and solstices (June 21st and December 21st) based on recorded data, in order to examine seasonal variations, and water is used as a heat transfer medium. The Capderou model was chosen to calculate the solar radiation for a clear sky condition. The results proved that the selected area has a large amount of radiation, which makes it suitable for the study of the basin. The results also show the obtained water temperature value, which makes the model suitable for the production of hot water. © 2023 IEEE.
