Control of CO 2 emissions which are the main factor of global warming is one of the most important problems in the 21st century about preservation of earth environment. Therefore, efficient supply and use of energy are indispensable. We have proposed a distributed energy management systems (DEMS), which consists of plural self-interested entities and in which they are to obtain optimal energy consumption plans that minimize cost under CO 2 emissions constraints through electricity and heat trading. We have proposed an energy trading decision method by using the Market-Oriented Programming (MOP). This article evaluates the proposed method by computational experiments.

With the recent advances in Internet and mobile technologies and infrastructures, there are increasing demands for ubiquitous access to tourist information systems for service coordination and integration. However, disparate tourist information and service resources such as airlines, hotels, tour operators, etc., make it difficult for tourist to use them effectively when planning their trips and/or during their trips. Motivated by the emerging technologies of multi-agent information system (MAIS) and its ability to aid Internet and mobile users, together with semantic Web that can effectively organize information and service resources. In this paper, we propose a virtual travel agent system (VTAS), which is built upon these technologies. In this paper, we formulate a scalable, flexible, and intelligent MAIS architecture for VTAS with agent clusters based on a case study of a large service-oriented travel agency. Agent clusters may comprise several types of agents to achieve the goals of the major processes of a tourist's trip. We show how agents can make use of ontology from the semantic web help tourists better plan, understand, and specify their requirements. We further illustrate how this can be successfully implemented with Web service technologies to integrate disparate Internet tourist resources.

The intelligent transport, which is a newly arisen realm of the 21 st century, is introduced in this paper. We expound the basic concept of the intelligent transport and the general situation of its development in the world, then point out the problems that we face during the course of studying intelligent transport. In order to solve these problems, we will give a new method, the CF graphic category structure, which has inspirable and realistic meaning for research in intelligent transport. Through CF graphic category, we study the structure of De. Morgan algebra that maps the fuzzy clustering neural network, set up CF morphism, design the model with optimal fuzzy clustering neural network of CF graphic category structure, and then we give an example to show that this structure has the ability of overcome slow convergent speed and clustering dead-spots.

Summary form only given. The semantic Web aims to address the limitations of the World Wide Web by providing content that can be interpreted by both humans and machines, thus enabling intelligent agents acting on behalf of humans and/or other agents to discover and reason with the available information in Berners-Lee, J. (2001). While there has been tremendous progress on the infrastructure development for the Semantic Web, it has been observed that comparable progress in the use of the agent technology is still lacking by Hendler, J. (2007). In the mean time, Peer-to-Peer (P2P) networks have been very successful by making available and redistributing huge amounts of data among millions of networked computers. This naturally leads to the concept of a distributed Semantic Web archive integrated with the existing Semantic Web that resides on a P2P network of user nodes (hence so-called P2P Semantic Web).

This paper proposes a multi-agent system-based grid middleware. There exist three types of agents in the middleware according to different functions. Each type of agent is further constructed to be a multi-agent system. The multi-agent system dispatches a set of individual agents to coordinate a user job over grid in a decentralized manner. In this paper, the middleware's four layers architecture is detailed and multi-agent system work principle is analyzed. Also the individual agent's implementation based on Java is illuminated. Finally the experiment result is presented via comparing the traditional grid with multi-agent system-based grid. The result indicates that our proposed approach can obtain about fifteen percent higher communication performance in the point-to-point communication.

Wireless sensor networks is a key technology for new ways of interaction between computers and the physical environment. However, the energy constrained and limited computing resources of the sensor nodes present major challenges in gathering data. Since sensor nodes are densely deployed, redundant data may occur. While cluster-based data gathering is efficient at energy and bandwidth, it's difficult to cluster network efficiently. In this work, a new distributed clustering algorithm for ubiquitous sensor network is presented. Clustering is based on the distance between nodes and the number in a cluster for wireless sensor networks. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm balances the energy dissipation over the whole network thus increase the amount of data delivery to the sink.

This paper presents a novel intelligent agent supervisory loop based approach for fighter aircraft pitch rate tracking. The control scheme consists of three software agent that works in an autonomous manner for the precision control of this system that shows multiple modes and drastic parametric 'jumps'. The first two agents are based on artificial intelligent techniques (fuzzy systems and Radial Basis Function Neural Network (RBFNN)) that monitor the closed loop system. The third agent acts as a traditional Model Reference Adaptive Controller (MRAC) which controls the system dynamics and help to keep it inbound. The scheme efficiently alleviates the burden on soft computing techniques due to the strength of the MRAC and at the same time intelligently controls the system when nonlinear and functional changes occur. The algorithmic development and mathematical preliminaries will be described first followed by the simulation examples conducted on a F16 fighter aircraft simulation model.

From the point of view of information technology the immune system is a highly parallel and distributed intelligent system which has learning, memory, and associative capabilities. Artificial Immune System is a novel evolutionary paradigm inspired by the biological aspects of the immune system of mammals. The human immune system has motivated scientists and engineers for finding powerful information processing algorithms that has solved complex engineering tasks. This paper discusses the behavioral maAAement of artificial intelligence namely the intelligent multi agent systems, and the evolutionary computation called the artificial immune system that imitates the biological theory called the immune system. We present how two concepts from the talk are fused into an artificial intelligent agent system for detecting resources in distributed computing environments and examine how our model can be applied and show that the model can solve an intricate problem successfully through the simulation.

We introduce a component architecture in support of a simplified approached to distributed authorship of functional content and user interface elements within Croquet-based 3D spaces. Known as "Brie," the approach is designed to take advantage of social opportunities afforded by Croquet's collaborative architecture by greatly simplifying content creation through an intuitive and highly flexible user interface approach. By reducing the technical demands of authoring functional content in Croquet-based multiuser environments, we hope to facilitate expansion of the potential community of content developers to include graphic designers and technically naive users. The Brie component-based approach addresses this in two ways: 1) it establishes a fundamentally new way for users to construct new objects and behaviors de novo, and 2) it establishes a way for users to easily deconstruct and recombine objects and behaviors received from other users, discovered through a search mechanism, or encountered as objects within existing Croquet spaces.
