The difficulty of hand function recovery in hemiplegic patients seriously affects daily life, and reliable rehabilitation training is needed. The premise of rehabilitation training is scientific and reasonable evaluation. The existing assessment methods depend entirely on the rehabilitation physicians, which are subjective, time-consuming and laborious. This paper develops an automated assessment system based on motion and distributed force measurement, combined with clinical Fugl-Meyer assessment. The array distributed flexible thin film pressure sensor attached to a gripping tool, Leap motion and virtual environment constitute an evaluation system to measure the attitude, motion and dynamics information of the hand. The joint range of motion, average velocity, peak velocity and distribution force are extracted as feature information, and input into their respective integrated fuzzy classifiers to classify the hand movement function, and finally the total evaluation score is obtained. Seven subjects were recruited for the experiment. The experimental score and the physician's score were compared with Bland-Altman method, the results showed that there were no data points outside the 95% consistency limit, so the two scores were consistent. The proposed method can be used to automatically evaluate hand motor function without physician supervision. © 2024 IEEE.

Technological advancements in the 21st century have led to the rise of "big data,"characterized by datasets so vast and complex that traditional database systems struggle to manage them. This term denotes datasets that are too vast and complex to be processed by traditional database systems. As big data continues to evolve, it introduces significant challenges related to data processing, storage, and analysis. In response, quantum-inspired algorithms have emerged as a promising solution to these challenges. Quantum-inspired algorithms, which draw on principles from quantum computing, present a promising solution to the challenges of big data processing, storage, and analysis. Techniques such as Quantum Annealing, Quantum Circuits and Gates, and Quantum Parallelism leverage quantum principles like superposition and entanglement to enhance data processing efficiency and speed. These methods offer significant improvements over traditional tools like Hadoop, MapReduce, RapidMiner, and R Programming, which are used for distributed storage, processing, and analytics of large datasets. By integrating quantum-inspired algorithms with existing data processing techniques, this study aims to address the limitations of classical methods and advance the field of big data analytics. © 2024 IEEE.

Large energy consumption in data centers has become a challenging problem with the emergence of cloud computing and large scale data centers. In this paper, we present an architectural framework for thermal-aware resource management while considering energy efficiency. The framework consists of a layered architecture and integrates a set of easy-to-use client tools and a thermal-aware task management middleware to schedule tasks based on thermal conditions within a cluster and among different data centers. As part of this paper we focus on the development of a thermal-aware task scheduling component for a single data center. This component is fundamental to our future activities, while considering to balance the temperature distribution in a single data center, thus implicitly minimizing energy cost in data centers.

Extended periods or intensive sessions of driving can lead to driver fatigue, affecting not just their reaction time and decision-making capacity, but also resulting in diminished concentration and potential episodes of drowsiness or even falling asleep. In response to this challenge, we have developed a convolutional neural network model incorporating a multi-head self-attention mechanism. To quantify the relationship between electroencephalogram (EEG) signals and driver fatigue, we commence by collecting raw EEG data from 40 channels in the brain using an EEG device. Subsequently, we apply filtering to the raw signals to eliminate physiological disturbances like electrocardiogram signals and non-physiological interferences such as power frequency noise. Thereafter, we employ continuous wavelet transform to extract α and β signals from the EEG data, along with features like spectral entropy, sample entropy, and fuzzy entropy from distinct subbands. Finally, we employ a convolutional neural network featuring a multi-head self-attention mechanism for classification. Additionally, we compare the performance of this model against existing classification methods, validating its efficacy. Our results demonstrate that this model can serve as an effective means for detecting driver fatigue, achieving an average accuracy of 98.3% across both testing and validation datasets. © 2023 IEEE.

Since the open character of the Internet of Things (IoT), IoT devices are vulnerable to various attacks. Compromised devices may maliciously provide unreliable data to the cloud. Furthermore, existing trust evaluation models struggle to balance data security needs across different regions. To address this issue, the paper proposes a partition-based active trust mechanism (PATM). This PATM scheme mainly includes the following parts: First, the region is divided into subregions, and evaluations are conducted for the indicators of each subregion. Mechanism modeling and fuzzy analytic hierarchy process are used to analyze the impact of each indicator on the sensitivity of subregions. Second, the direct estimation method is utilized to estimate the demand for active detection routing based on the sensitivity of subregions. Then, the number of operations of malicious nodes is increased through the high-frequency transmission of detection routes required by each subregion. Additionally, a trust calculation method based on node operations is proposed to evaluate the reliability of the device. The experimental results show that the PATM scheme proposed in this article can quickly identify the trust degree of nodes while balancing the needs of different regions, ensuring the credibility of data collection. © 2023 IEEE.

The Internet of Vehicles (IoVs) is widely used to obtain information about vehicles and road conditions, which is transmitted in public channels. Hence, the most important requirement is the data security, which needs to keep in a strict delay. Authentication is a common method to solve it. Due to limited resources and delay sensitivity of IoVs, vehicles must complete authentication within appropriate resources cost and delay. However, existing schemes are prone to physical, forgery and collusion attacks, and moreover, they are computationally heavy. Therefore, we propose a lightweight security identity authentication scheme for vehicle-road collaboration, which utilizes lightweight Physical Unclonable Function (PUF) as the trust root of entities to resist physical and collusion attacks;Besides, most of computation is offloaded to Road Side Units (RSUs) certified by Trusted Authority (TA) through the vehicle-road collaboration architecture. In addition, we utilize challenge-response pairs (CRPs) to protect privacy and expose malicious vehicular identities in identity tracking phase. Furthermore, there are formal and informal security analyses to prove our scheme is secure. Finally, the simulation experiment shows our scheme is more secure and efficient than other schemes in real scenarios. © 2023 IEEE.

SimRank is a model that measures the structural similarity between any two nodes in a directed graph. Its main idea is that if two nodes in the graph are referenced by similar nodes, then these two nodes are similar. SimRank model calculates the similarity based on the full graph structure information of two nodes. According to SimRank's definition, SimRank is a nonlinear and recursive model. In recent years, research on the SimRank algorithms has mainly focused on rapid updates of All-Pairs SimRank on dynamic graphs. However, existing algorithms now have the following problems: algorithms based on random walk cannot update quickly based on existing results, and they need to recalculate for each changes;at the same time, most iterative algorithms cannot guarantee the maximum calculation error, because they are approximate algorithms. In this paper, we first derive a close formed linear system from the SimRank definition on dynamic graphs, then we design an algorithm to get the numerical solution of the linear system, finally through experiments in real graphs, it has been shown that this algorithm performs better in terms of time and spatial complexity than the state-of-the-art algorithms on dynamic graphs. © 2023 IEEE.

When addressing the Named Entity Recognition (NER) challenge in low-resource environments, our primary focus is on identifying named entities in a limited number of target areas with sparse annotation data. Traditional cross-domain NER methods have been hampered by the discrepancies between different domains, resulting in limited generalization capabilities in specific scenarios. To overcome this limitation, we have developed an innovative approach that leverages the power of BERT, an advanced language representation model, to extract features from both the source and target domains. Furthermore, we have introduced the Latent OPT framework, a text content generation diffusion model based on ordinary differential equations (ODE), to expand the source domain data and generate high-quality data volumes. Concurrently, we propose a novel autoregressive framework that strengthens the association between tags and tokens, thereby promoting cross-domain NER and enhancing the transferability of tag information. This framework is also based on pre-trained language models (PLMs) with continuous prompts, which perform entity enhancement and context enhancement through five basic augmentation operations, generating examples of label flipping and label preservation. Our research is the first to successfully address the small sample NER problem using a generative diffusion model, and its innovation and effectiveness have been validated by comprehensive experiments across various benchmark tests. © 2023 IEEE.

Individuals who are disabled by medical conditions like disability, injury, paralysis, or other circumstances struggle to move around. In most cases, assistive devices are needed, such as wheelchairs. Using voice instructions to control wheelchair movements is the main objective of this study. Wheelchair movements can be controlled by five commands: forward, reverse, right, left, and stop. By using the Google Voice virtual assistant, the voice can be captured, translated into English using the Google API, and then distributed to classification, which classifies the words and extracts the phrases. In-order to correctly identify the text commands for wheelchair navigation, Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) and Multilayer Perception Neural Networks (MPNNs) were used and the implementation was performed using Arduino UNO board. The CNN-MPNN method has been shown effective in text classification. The CNN-MPNN can recognize speech commands in wheelchairs, according to preliminary testing findings. © 2024 IEEE.

Location-Based Skyline Query (LSQ) is a computational method aimed at retrieving non-dominated data points from spatial datasets. As data owners have limited resources, it is common for them to outsource data to clouds and provide query services for others. But this raises privacy challenges. Existing privacy-preserving LSQ schemes lack practicality due to computational or spatial overheads, with some requiring the data owner to perform heavy computations. To address this, we propose an innovative privacy-preserving LSQ scheme ensuring both data owner and query user privacy. We design a privacy-preserving point-convex intersection determination scheme (PPID) that enables a cloud server to determine whether a point intersects a polygon without knowing the real data. Based on PPID, we devise an efficient privacy-preserving LSQ scheme (PLSQ). Security analysis demonstrates PPID and PLSQ are safe in real/ideal world model security, and PLSQ can preserve dataset and query privacy. Extensive experiments reveal PLSQ's efficiency, achieving search speed enhancements of 4 - 7 × and decreasing data owner overhead by 25% - 40% compared to related schemes. © 2023 IEEE.
