In an age where wirelessly networked appliances and devices are becoming commonplace, there is a necessity for connecting them to work together for a mobile use. The design outlined in this paper provides an infrastructure and communication protocol for providing 'smart' services to these mobile devices. This flexible framework allows any medium to be used for communication between the system and the portable device, including infra-red, and BlueTooth, Using Extensible Markup Language for information passing, gives the system a uniform and easily adaptable interface. We explain our trade-offs in implementation and through experimentation we show that the design is feasible and that it indeed provides a flexible structure for providing services. Centaurus provides a uniform infrastructure for heterogeneous services, both hardware and software services, to be made available to the users everywhere where they are needed.

Lane detection technology is of great significance in intelligent transportation. standard Hough transform is easy to generate false peak value and to cause error detection of line when extracting line. In this paper, the wavelet algorithm is combined to extract the area of interest in lane line recognition, and then the wavelet reconstruction and Canny algorithm are used to obtain the image edge, and the lane line is detected by the Hough transform algorithm based on linear parameter space reduction. This algorithm can improve the correct detection rate of lane lines, avoid the interaction between lane lines and reduce the misdetection of both sides of the lane. The improved algorithm is more conducive to the real-time control of intelligent vehicle assistance and automatic driving in time.

The trajectory planning of intelligent vehicles is the focus of the research field of intelligent vehicles. In this paper, the vehicle state is analyzed during the lane change process, the trajectory of the intelligent vehicle is planned by using the quintic polynomial, the trajectory optimization function is introduced, the objective function of integrated lane change time and maximum acceleration to improve comfort and passage efficiency is constructed, the lane change trajectory is optimally selected based on particle swarm algorithm, and the lane change trajectory is referenced according to the real-time information provided by the Vehicle to Everything to realize real-time data update in order to the data is updated in real-time to provide timely feedback to the information processing center for re-planning the path when there is an unexpected situation ahead. The simulation results show that the lane change trajectory planning method can solve the problems caused by the change of speed of surrounding vehicles and the sudden intrusion of vehicles in the process of lane change, and can significantly improve the smoothness and safety of the process of lane change.

A (CI)-I-4 (Command, Control, Computers, Communication and Intelligence) support system spans a large variety of requirements and usually serves many users with diverse needs. Also, in order to properly and timely display information to the decision-makers, it shall integrate data from other systems, not necessarily built with the same technology. The Operations Theater Surveillance System (SATO), presented here, was designed in 1998 for the Mercury Project, which develops the Brazilian Navy new Command and Control support system ((CS)-S-2). This paper as an experience report, focuses on the software constructs rued in the system, with an architectural perspective. SATO displays and manages all the information presented to the users. In addition, as the Mercury's main subsystem, it lays the foundation for integrating other subsystems and legacy systems. Data enters Mercury, from all Crisis Control Centers (CCC), distributed throughout the country.

Due to the rapid growth of the Internet, the Internet has given drastic influence and impact to not only our daily life but also enterprise information applications. Object oriented technology is widely used in software industry currently The web-based and distributed object-based computing system is the integration of object-oriented technology and distributedcomputing, which is a new computing paradigm. This paradigm gives new system architecture to be taken into consideration for solving the problems of interoperability and integration of heterogenous systems. The Common Object Request Broker Architecture (CORBA) provides a standard infrastructure for performing objects interoperability transparently. However, a web-based, CORBA-based and distributed object architecture will stringently face the performances of CORBA objects binding and interoperability between CORBA objects, and objects management issues when the number of CORBA objects are soaring. In this paper, we propose CORBA based multithreading and Factory models to improve the performance of the distributed object architecture. Also, we give a web-based and CORBA-based telecommunication service order provisioning system to act as an experimental evaluation.

Applying machine learning in IoT devices is a challenge due to various reasons, such as the tremendous amount of data generated from IoT, the limitation of IoT devices' resources, and the non-IID nature of IoT data. On the other hand, transferring the generated IoT data to the cloud to train machine learning models consumes a lot of Bandwidth. Applying the distributed learning aspect in IoT large-scale deployments solves such issues, by employing edge computing devices as local cloud models in each location. This solution enhances the network overhead and helps in obtaining general models. However, this comes at the expense of the accuracy of the generated models. This paper provides a comparison study between applying a conventional machine learning model with a distributed multi-task learning model and discusses the factors that affect the distributed multi-task learning model.

The process of development of network computing towards the 21st century is explained. In order to make clear the key technologies required for the development of network computing, the logical model of the system is represented by a six-layer model and the key technologies corresponding to each layer are introduced. For the future development of the information society, the importance and the technologies concerning thin computers and the new platform constructed by the unification of the Internet and broadcasting are also discussed. Finally, the future trends of EC (Electronic Commerce) is envisioned.
