This paper proposes a computing framework for a building integrated operation platform oriented towards intelligent building. The platform consists of data aware, data management, self-management, open interface, security interface and the layer of naming mechanism. It is able to realize the collection of heterogeneous data, format the data consistently, and filter the data in order to reduce the error and discriminate the wrong data. The collection of filtered data is open for users. The platform provides the open interface of customized business for users so that the user can implement specific functions by the use of interface function. Through the transformation of naming mechanism, the platform converts the physical address of device to a recognition approach friendly to users, which is easy to use and develop. Using the Docker development environment, this paper realizes a building integrated operation platform oriented towards intelligent building, and achieves the modularization of function modules and the isolation characteristic for the convenience of distributed deployment. This paper further elaborates the migration and quick deployment and its realization, expanding the elasticity and scalability of computation resources.

With the rapid development and popularization of internet technologies such as AI and 5G, more and more organizations and individuals have suffered a dramatic increase in the number of ransomware attacks, which has brought substantial economic losses to them. Ransomware is an illegal act that blackmails victims into paying a ransom by locking their devices or encrypting files. Achieving fast and effective ransomware classification, attack intent and pattern analysis can improve the efficiency of security analysts and discover ransomware variants earlier. Therefore, we propose a new ransomware classification method, which uses the entropy map extracted from the ransomware binary file for classification. The entropy map retains more fine-grained features in the ransomware family, which can improve the classification result. Aiming at the problem of data imbalance among ransomware families, we propose a data augmentation method based on the Cycle-GAN network, which combines the fine-tuning technology in transfer learning to improve the classification result of the framework further. At the same time, the attention mechanism is introduced into VGG-16. It is used to enhance the ability of feature extraction of the network. The experimental results show that the proposed method achieves the best performance on 14 ransomware families, and the accuracy rate can reach 97.16%, which is better than other traditional ransomware visualization classification methods. Our proposed method still has the best classification performance compared with other neural networks.

The traditional or conventional chemical methods have played an important dependability in the field of water monitoring system till date. But these systems need modification and much professionalism. The technology for water monitoring system is improving day by day. UV absorbance technologies have huge advantage over the traditional method for water monitoring system. Numerous works on monitoring the various parameters of water quality has been developed. To develop a water quality monitoring or filtering system requires a detailed study of the various available e-sensing technologies. Thus, a concise work summing up the existing technologies is the need of the hour. In this paper, a brief study on the recent works in water monitoring systems is presented. The current study sheds light on the definition, classification, advantages, and disadvantages of different types of water monitoring systems.

IoT environment is one of important upshots of IT development;it offers comfort to human daily life. We are interested in our paper in the healthcare IoT field which aims to remotely monitor the patient's health state using a set of physiological IoT sensors. In IoT systems dependability is a strong constraint because the fault occurrence can have a bad consequence on human life. The fault tolerance is one of the mechanisms that can insure a dependable function of the IoT healthcare system. To do this, we improve in this paper the centralized agent based architecture [1] by proposing more robust distributed one. That is by eliminating the weakness due to the centralization of the control. This upgrading is motivated by the fact that the current improvement of the network technologies and the occurrence of new promising paradigms like edge computing and 5G [2] require different reasoning philosophy.

In the rapidly evolving landscape of distributed computing, the integration of fog computing, cloud paradigms, and blockchain technology has emerged as an innovative approach to enhance the efficiency and security of task scheduling. This article introduces a novel method using the Sparrow Search Algorithm (SSA), along with its decomposition variant SSA/D, to optimize task scheduling within this integrated system. This paper presents a comprehensive framework that outlines the unique characteristics of fog, cloud, and blockchain environments, addressing their individual constraints while leveraging their combined strengths. The adaptability and robustness of SSA/D are employed to address the multi-objective nature of the scheduling problem, focusing on minimizing latency, energy consumption, and financial cost while ensuring data integrity through the blockchain's immutable ledger. We have employed the Sparrow Search Algorithm (SSA), a recent optimization method proven effective in other applications. Our main contribution is the integration of a decomposition strategy to enhance the exploration of the search space and enable parallel execution of the SSA process. Experimental results show that the proposed approach outperforms existing algorithms in terms of both efficiency and effectiveness, providing significant improvements over popular task scheduling metaheuristics. This paper not only offers a new algorithmic solution but also sets a precedent for future research in integrated fog-cloud-blockchain systems, with a view towards integrating machine learning techniques to further optimize these problems.

Internet of Things and Edge computing are evolving, bringing data processing closer to the source and a result closer to the network’s edge. This distributed processing can increase energy consumption and carbon footprint. One solution to overcome the environment’s impact is using renewable energy sources such as photovoltaic panels to power both cloud and edge servers. Since solar energy is not available at night or can vary with cloudiness, the centers still rely on conventional energy sources. Any solar energy that exceeds the demand power of the computing infrastructure is put back to the grid. Fluctuations in energy output due to moving clouds can have a negative impact on conventional energy suppliers as they have to maintain a constant energy supply. This paper presents heuristic algorithms for selecting edge servers for data stream processing to manage renewable energy utilization and smooth out energy fluctuations. © 2021, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

in an era of the widespread introduction of information technology, the broadest possibilities are opening up for the implementation of additional services for prosumers in the electricity market. The traditional electric power system of Russia allows customers to receive electricity only from large power plants, which leads to centralization and monopoly. Currently, the concept of distributed generation is gaining popularity. The idea is that small electric power generators are distributed throughout the local power network. The introduction of such an electrical network will improve the reliability of the system. However, such a network needs effective management and an electricity metering system. This paper proposes the use of distributed network blockchain technology as a solution to these problems. The proposed double-chain blockchain model will provide for the electric energy trading within the local electricity market, without third-party intermediaries, with a sufficient level of security and automation for all participants.

Telling stories and playing games are important for the development of children language, cognitive and social skills. Using robots as characters of digital stories and agents of embodied cognition will further advance children's creativity, teamwork and other 21st century skills. Additional use of gamification techniques improves emotional engagement and helps young children more easily grasp abstract concepts. In this study we describe a general framework for designing robotics-based board games for primary school students, aiming at the assimilation of abstract concepts. The purpose of such games is to provide additional environments promoting children's personal development and improving their socialization skills. The case study in this paper specifically relates to human rights, both as a general concept and as a set of principles helping to prevent inappropriate behavior in different social situations. In this case, having a general framework simplifies the board game design procedure, allowing focusing on a particular set of human rights (or more generally, any other abstract concepts) in everyday life situations. Field-testing observation indicates that students enjoy this way of learning. Use of robots as their embodied external agents helped students to learn behavior principles. We propose that further field studies should assess and measure long term learning benefits, compared to appropriate control groups.

Blockchain technology has brought potential security features for the industrial communities. The capability of blockchain can be seen in solving the industrial challenges as in sharing the transaction records with security, interoperability between the devices, transparency in the supply chain and logistics industry, etc. Blockchain provides the distributed, decentralized, and secured transaction ledger. The omitting intermediaries’ property of blockchain reduces the effective cost, while the distributed and decentralized property has shown the application possibility in various cases. This paper has described the potential applications of blockchain and their drawbacks in the various industrial sectors. The development of Internet of Things (IoT) became one of the most significant and promising technologies of the 21st century. This technology offers new opportunities and introduces us to a wide range of technologies such as sensors, pervasive computing, seamless communication, embedded system, machine learning, and wireless networks. The primary purpose of IoT is providing efficient, smart, and convenient connectivity to the user's end. One of the major challenges in creating a smart, connected community is the wide-range, long-lasting, reliable, and near real time connectivity. This article provides a comprehensive survey of existing and developing communication solution and strategies for supporting IoT application in the context of cellular and wide-area networks. The fifth generation or 5G mobile network promises to enhance wireless technology and attempts to solve the constraints of its predecessors to support Internet of Things. The risks and challenges are briefly discussed in this article, as well as the emerging solution brought by the latest network, the 5G network.
