A track structure with crashed stone composite designed at Faculty of Transport of Warsaw University of technology is described. The article presents selected results of experimental measurements and simulation tests. Experimental studies included measurements of vertical track irregularities on the analyzed sections. The dynamical responses of railway vehicle for experimental track geometrical irregularities were determined in simulations for each analyzed track section. © 2020, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

The dawn of the 21st century saw a difference in approach adopted by medical personnel with respect to various domains. A significant improvement has been observed in impetus to medicine-oriented technology start-ups from a research and funding perspective. There has been a renewed vigour in catering to people via the improved healthcare facilities. Exoskeletons are an off-shoot of this movement. An exoskeleton is, in essence, a powered suit, serving as an external hard framework, developed for medical, military or industrial applications which serve as a means for augmenting or protecting the wearer's strength. The use and importance of exoskeletons in today's world has risen exponentially.

Today every application like e-healthcare, agriculture, etc., is connected through smart devices to reduce workforce and enhance productivity. Many applications like defences, banking an utilities, media and entertainment, transportation, banking, retail, agriculture, education, manufacturing, etc., are using smart devices in their working-structure to improved growth of a business/production. These applications are generating a lot of data, which called as "big data" and this data is increasing at a huge rate. For example, most of the data (90%) is generated in last decade only. Together this, we required modern tools to analyses this data for generating useful results. But in near future, this analytics process may shift towards automation. How these automated analytics by deep learning (by robots/machines) will change future forever. Also, with this automated/advanced analytics process we need to provide a disruptive environment which is more towards to protecting nature. This article provide detail explanation regarding "how machines can be useful in learning process through its automate learning process" and "how machine/Artificial Intelligence (AI) can be useful in detecting vulnerabilities/intrusion without much human interaction instantly" and so on. In 21st century, most of tasks will be completed by machines or artificial intelligences. In distributed large-scale intelligent computing, efficient collaboration between the cloud and edge devices is essential to provide rapid data access for a vast number of users, which is crucial for optimal data storage services. The edge servers are utilized to meet the data access requirements of adjacent group users. Numerous data auditing schemes for cloud computing have been proposed to protect user data integrity and avoid the threat of data leakage, loss, or tampering. However, secure cloud-edge storage of group users remains to be further studied. This paper proposes a novel blockchain-assisted blinded data auditing scheme for cloud-edge systems. Firstly, blockchain technology is utilized to monitor the activities of a semi-trusted third-party auditor (TPA). Secondly, user identifiers are utilized to trace the malicious behaviors in the systems. In addition, a data blinding algorithm is utilized to ensure that the raw data is unavailable to a curious TPA. Both security analysis and performance assessment demonstrate that this scheme conducts data auditing for cloud-edge systems with reliability and efficiency. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

In the expressway service environment, users are strongly required for the convenience and stability of using the multi-lane high-pass, as well as the diversity of the multilane high-pass system payment method, and the innovative tendency of the multi-lane high-pass system, which provides integrated payment. With the development of various information and communication technologies (ICT), the video technology of the multi-lane high-pass system has also rapidly developed, making it possible to conduct a second multi-lane high-pass pilot project. Now, the pilot project of the high pass system is being built in 3D and 4D. In terms of user convenience and variety of payments, value and satisfaction are analyzed from various perspectives depending on the intent of use for Hi-Pass based on the payment method. In this study, the problem of high-passing is improved in a single step, and the value to users. At a time when we are preparing for the nationwide spread of Hi-Pass with a tea that can satisfy us. Intended to support users with a variety of convenient services would like to analyze from various perspectives on factors.

In order to eliminate mismatches between the intentions of questioners and respondents of Question and Answer (Q&A) sites, nine factors of impressions for statements have experimentally been obtained. Factor scores have been then estimated by using the feature values of statements. So far, the possibility of detecting respondents who can appropriately answer a newly posted question has been established for limited several categories e.g. Auction, PC, etc. It has been shown that the distance and the appearance times could lead to selecting users who are able to appropriately answer a question. In order to inspect these tendencies, the objectivity of this paper is to investigate if any further tendency of introducing proper respondents to a questioner could be observed by analyzing the Q&A statements other than those already used and expanding their categories. As a result of analysis, the tendencies that particular several users are inclined to appear in each category has been verified. Quantitative evaluation has also shown the outstanding tendency of answer statements.

Computational neuroscience is interdisciplinary and plays an essential role in facilitating the development of cognitive neuroscience and Artificial General Intelligence (AGI). To explore the computational efficiency of Spiking Neural Network (SNN) on a computational hardware platform, we deploy SNN on the Xilinx Zynq7 Zedboard Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA). Specifically, we use multi-compartmental Hodgkin-Huxley (HH) neuron model to construct neural circuits via C++ code and adopt a biologically plausible calcium concentration-based plasticity model as the learning rule of SNN. Our experimental results show that the FPGA platform can support parallel computation of the multi-compartment HH model with synaptic plasticity. Compared to other methods, FPGA-based computing has a significant speed advantage, suggesting that FPGA can be a good choice for implementing brain-inspired computation.

Internet of Vehicles in brief is the distributed networks that makes the use of data produced due to connected cars and vehicular ad-hoc networks. With the progress in Science and technology, The Internet of Vehicles has got an exponential boost, leading to tremendous progress in the field. The smart vehicles are equipped with various sensors which are data collection points, from which various useful data is collected for the processing and operating of the intelligent vehicles and play a vital role in implementation and communication of the vehicles. The smart vehicles has been a boon to humans which include fewer accidents, faster travel times, less theft due to tracking. But with these advantages, the vehicles have to cope up with various malicious intrusions and issues that compromise with the security and integrity of the vehicle. This is one of the major issues in the IOV which makes the data more vulnerable to be exposed. The research work aims to make the system more secure and safe by the detection and classification of the attacks that make these smart vehicles unsafe. The approach used in this work is based on the CNN based architecture VGG19, in which the data obtained from OBD port of vehicle and converted to visual format is feed. The types of the attacks included in this research work for the classification are Denial of Service Attack (DoS), Spoofing(RPM Spoof, Gear Spoof), Fuzzy Attack. The purpose of the research is to design a solution that makes the system more secure, preserves the privacy and increase the trustability of the user.

The concept of stream data processing is becoming challenging in most business sectors where try to improve their operational efficiency by deriving valuable information from unstructured, yet, contentiously generated high volume raw data in an expected time spans. A modern streamlined data processing platform is required to execute analytical pipelines over a continues flow of data-items that might arrive in a high rate. In most cases, the platform is also expected to dynamically adapt to dynamic characteristics of the incoming traffic rates and the ever-changing condition of underlying computational resources while fulfill the tight latency constraints imposed by the end-users. Apache storm has emerged as an important open source technology for performing stream processing with very tight latency constraints over a cluster of computing nodes. To increase the overall resource utilization, however, the service provider might be tempted to use a consolidation strategy to pack as many applications as possible in a (cloud-centric) cluster with limited number of working nodes. However, collocated applications can negatively compete with each other, for obtaining the resource capacity in a shared platform that, in turn, the result may lead to a severe performance degradation among all running applications. The main objective of this work is to develop an elastic solution in a modern stream processing ecosystem, for addressing the shared resource contention problem among collocated applications. We propose a mechanism, based on design principles of Model Predictive Control theory, for coping with the extreme conditions in which the collocated analytical applications have different quality of service (QoS) levels while the shared-resource interference is considered as a key performance limiting parameter. Experimental results confirm that the proposed controller can successfully enhance the p -99 latency of high priority applications by 67%, compared to the default round r

Educational institutions often struggle to identify what is the best pedagogical approach to engaging students with academic integrity content. As student plagiarism and cheating frequently occur, new strategies are needed to address this challenge in educational settings. The Canadian academic integrity mobile technology project developed one digital strategy, Integrity Matters, to enhance student academic integrity knowledge and understanding using an innovative pedagogical approach. Best strategies, from 774 undergraduate student users perspective, for accessing, delivering, assessing and learning this information with mobile technology (m-learning) are explored. Following completion of the six lessons and subsequent quizzes, academic integrity knowledge increased for the research study participants in engineering, math, computer science, and arts faculties. The Integrity Matters open access trilingual mobile application (available in Android and iOS) can be readily adopted across post-secondary colleges and universities and adapted to meet institutional priority needs.
