The article discusses a suggestion for an alternative method of diagnosing communication in the CAN standard (Controller Area Network). Currently, a CAN communication bus is available not only in vehicles for which the standard was designed, but also in industrial plants. A CAN communication bus connects elements of, e.g. distributed control systems, vehicle onboard systems, remote intelligent I/Os of industrial controllers. The devices connected via the bus communicate in a broadcast mode. IDs (numbers) are assigned to messages and not devices. This enables simultaneous sending of a message to all awaiting recipients. A prerequisite for the correct functioning of the aforementioned systems is their proper operation, and primarily, maintaining the communication system in a state of fitness. Information regarding the sent variables are necessary to test the functioning of a data transmission system. It is the communication diagnostics that provides information necessary to formulate a diagnosis regarding the communication system condition. Based on the collected data sent in the messages, it is also possible to develop relevant remedial actions. In the case of CAN standard transmission, the diagnostic information can be acquired through intercepting and analysing the messages sent to the communication bus by communicating devices. The article suggests replacing often costly CAN bus analyser hardware solutions with a simpler one – an operator-diagnostic station – a computer equipped with an industrial CAN expansion card. By applying the right middleware, and the use of a standard visualization package, it is possible to monitor the data sent in CAN messages. This elaboration presents a concept of diagnosing communication using a standard SCADA visualization package, which is run on a diagnostic-operator station using middleware – a control window embedded directly in the synoptic image and a software gateway. The article presents the results of simulation studies, the aim of which was to compare comparative energy consumption of short and long city buses in terms of assessing the needs for e-mobility. Currently, a number of e-mobility activities are observed, the largest of which has a dynamic change in the bus fleet structure and a significant, defined in subsequent years, increase in the percentage share of zero-emission buses (electric as well as hybrid and hydrogen). Decisions regarding the exchange of fleets should be preceded by proper analyzes, including the requirements and energy consumption of individual bus lines with the assumption of a certain number of passengers and the selection of a bus with proper capacity. The methodology for calculating energy consumption and determination of the required engine power presented in the article enables dedicated analyzes depending on driving profiles and specific bus parameters. © 2020, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

The IoT is the next age of communication, as the rapidity of connecting physical objects around us to the internet is mounting swiftly. The inanimate physical devices can be empowered to create, receive, and exchange data into information networks to provide highly developed intelligent services without any human intervention. The future IoT applications are extremely promising with an enhanced level of automation, efficiency, and comfort for the users. To actualize such a world in an ever-developing mold requires enhanced user privacy, authentication, and high information security from attacks. This paper presents a characteristic examination of an anomaly detection system for successfully classifying hostile events by distinguishing them from normal activities within the distributed Smart Space Orchestration System (DS2OS) traffic pattern associated with network operations. We presented a supervised meta algorithm-based approach known as Bagging (Bootstrap Aggregation) for classifying and handling various malicious operations on the network. This paper describes most affluent machine learning classifiers k-Nearest Neighbor(k-NN), Decision Tree(DT), Random Forest(RF), and Extra Trees Classifier(ETC) to progress the efficiency of the DS2OS dataset by acquiring through a proper training phase for the static idealization of normal and anomalous network behavior. Predicting the corresponding 3D structure from the protein’s sequence is one of the most challenging tasks in computational biology, and a confident interresdiue contact map serves as the main driver towards ab initio protein structure prediction. Benefiting from the ever-increasing sequence databases, residue contact prediction has been revolutionized recently by the introduction of direct coupling analysis and deep learning techniques. However, existing deep learning contact prediction methods often rely on a number of external programs and are therefore computationally expensive. Here, we introduce a novel contact prediction method based on fully convolutional neural networks and extensively extracted evolutionary features from multi-sequence alignment. The results show that our deep learning model based on a highly optimized feature extraction mechanism is very effective in interresidue contact prediction. © 2021, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

Artificial intelligence is one of the three cutting-edge technologies in the 21st century and it has a big potential in many fields which involve the computer science. This article aims to summarize and discuss different ways of introducing artificial intelligence technology into the aspects of hospital work. It will help consider the direction and inspiration of designing an intelligent hospital while protecting the cyber security of the hospital. It discusses the specific methods and application designs in improving the hospital service by analyzing the field of affective computing, computer vision and neural network. In conclusion, the introduction of artificial intelligence can make hospitals have a better treatment process and comfortable work flow.

Infrared imaging (IR) might be a useful diagnostic tool in case of abnormalities related to changes in body temperature. Most of the past methods were using IR images placed in a 2D space showing heat distribution on the analyzed object’s surface. The idea of the approach proposed in this study was to overcome that restriction and gain an internal distribution of heat. It was done by 3D backprojection reconstruction using a series of 2D infrared images of a heated phantom. The proposed system was validated using a registration procedure of thermal tomography and 3D ultrasound image of the analyzed object. Qualitative and quantitative assessment was held. The results suggest that areas of changing temperature in phantom could be detected and correspond to the actual placement of the heat source. © 2021, The Editor(s) (if applicable) and The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

The future of the electronic industry is the nanotechnology which witnessed a tremendous change in the world of electronics. To increase the performance of the silicon-based industry, there are promising alternatives which shown a greater superiority like carbon nanotube field-effect transistors (CNTFET). Multi-valued circuits (MVL) act as novel gadgets for optimizing the power. When the Ternary circuits are built with CNTFET’s, we can achieve the advantages of reduction in power dissipation and increase in the speed. This paper talks much about the implementation of various logic gates, combinational circuits and sequential circuits using CNTFETs and multi-valued circuits. The proposed designs aim at decreasing the power delay product (PDP). The intended designs include ternary inverter, ternary NAND, ternary decoder, ternary half adder, ternary multiplier, ternary multiplexer and ternary full adder. In the computing architecture, cloud is emerging as a major giant in the networking area/s for providing services over the Internet. Despite security issues, a continuous deployment of business applications over cloud has been seen. The main security issues addressed in cloud are confidentiality, integrity, availability (CIA) and non-repudiation (N-R). distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack is the main threat encountered by cloud services which attempt to make an unavailability of information of business applications by flooding traffic passages from numerous sources. IP spoofing is the main part of distributed denial-of-service in which the IP address is forged to prohibit effortless traceback. The focal point of the paper is re-examining the IP spoofing attack and its root causes. The aim of the paper is to present a broad indication of "IP spoofing attack", emerging as an important security concern in cloud computing. The research aims to summarize the previous literature available on IP spoofing attack in context with distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack. The paper also presents conclusive findings having various directions for future research in IP spoofing based on the related published work and industry/organization reports. © 2020, Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.
