With the rapid development of the Internet platform, users can choose and match clothes according to their personal preferences without leaving home. Merchants have manually sorted and uploaded a large number of clothing images to make it easy for users to shop for clothing online, which consumes a huge amount of labor costs. Such problems can be improved through deep learning related algorithms. However, the conventional deep learning model has a huge amount of computation, resulting in low efficiency of real-time detection of clothing, which limits its application field. Aiming at these theoretical and practical problems, this thesis studies the optimization of clothing image detection and label recognition methods based on deep learning. In view of the real problems of high computational load and slow instant response of existing clothing detection models. This thesis proposes a clothing detection model YOLOv4-GS based on a deep learning framework. Experiments show that compared with the model YOLOv4, this model has a great improvement in detection accuracy and model efficiency. This algorithm first uses the K-means++ clustering method to preprocess the initial dataset DeepFashion2. And construct the GS module based on the deep fusion of Ghost module and SimAM attention mechanism. Then use the GS module to reconstruct the YOLOv4 network to obtain the model YOLOv4-GS, which has higher efficiency and higher model accuracy.

In this article, the Insight Explorer system, which utilizes artificial intelligence (AI) and audio augmented reality (AR), is introduced as a tool designed to transform tourist experiences through immersive audio narratives delivered via AR Smart Glasses. This innovative system employs the GPT-4-Vision API for accurate landmark identification, maintaining high performance even under complex environmental conditions. Our comprehensive evaluation and detailed case studies demonstrate the system's effectiveness and versatility, particularly in enhancing user immersion through advanced spatial audio processing techniques. While the system achieves significant milestones, it also presents challenges in computational demands. Future work will concentrate on optimizing and expanding the system to further enhance its capabilities. Overall, the integration of AI and audio AR by the Insight Explorer marks a substantial progress in the development of intelligent, immersive tourism solutions.

This review explores the application of machine learning (ML) in the classification of astrocytic calcium (Ca 2+ ) signaling, a pivotal aspect of cellular biology. Fluorescence imaging has enabled thorough recording of astrocyte activity, but the resulting large, complex time series data sets defy manual analysis, highlighting the need for automated tools. However, existing tools and algorithms designed for neuronal imaging fail to accommodate astrocytic Ca 2+ time series, underlining the need for dedicated tools. The ML models, with their ability to detect intricate, nonlinear patterns and extract significant features from time series data, are ideally suited for analyzing astrocytic Ca 2+ transients. This review presents a comprehensive overview of methods used in ML for time series analysis, covering both the classification of Ca 2+ signals and broader biomedical signals in the time domain and time-frequency representations. Although ML models offer a promising solution for classifying astrocytic Ca 2+ signals, their optimal performance hinges on accurately labeled, high-quality data. An innovative approach is therefore necessary, one that integrates flexible distance representation, temporal features, and an open-ended classification pipeline, thereby enabling analysis of time-dependent changes in signal patterns without reliance on pre-assigned labels. This review highlights some of the studies that have successfully employed innovative techniques to deliver noteworthy outcomes in time series analysis and classification.

The current technological advancements carry stringent communication requirements. These requirements cannot be achieved by current networks. Therefore, a new paradigm called semantic communication is proposed. Semantic communication is the transmission of the meaning of data. Different semantic communication algorithms were proposed in literature, but they are complex and non-universal. In this work, a text semantic communication algorithm will be modified to be simple and universal. The modified algorithm uses a transformer network with 1 encoder layer and 3 decoder layers. The embedding layer uses pretrained embeddings from a Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers (BERT) model. The algorithm is trained to optimize both the cross-entropy loss and the mutual information. Training and testing are done using the European parliament proceedings dataset. The performance of the modified algorithm is comparable to the original algorithm although it uses 50% of the layers. This work indicates the potential of using pretrained embeddings to simplify and enhance universality of existing semantic communication algorithms.

A vision-based automatic bar counting system for two-stage conveying bars is proposed. The system solves the counting problems of sticking and relative sliding of a large number of rebar stacks through image processing algorithms. Through the improvement of the splitting end splitting machine, the design of two-step splitting and visual verification is adopted to achieve accurate splitting of stacked rebars. The system obviously reduces the requirements for installation space, and can make more effective use of the space in the rebar workshop. The system has fast running speed, high accuracy, small changes to the production line, and easy maintenance. It can not only meet the needs of production, but also greatly improve the efficiency of the existing counting system. It is suitable for rebar workshops with limited installation space. The experimental results show that the system can accurately count the bars and can accurately realize the steel separation. For bars with a diameter of 8-12mm, the counting accuracy is over 99.85%, and for bars with a diameter greater than 12mm, the counting accuracy is over 99.96%.

The most important challenge in antenna design is increasing its gain because antenna gain is considered one of the main factors in determining antenna performance for applications in communication engineering. The paper tackles antenna enhancement by optimum antenna design for geometrical parameters of Rectangular-Shaped Slotted Single-Band Microstrip Patch Antenna. To increase the gain, the researchers used an optimization process of slot insertion in the antenna patch plane. The sizes of slots in the patch have been effectively changed to increase the gain. The design improved the directivity of the antenna as well. The dimensions of the patch for the array-shaped antenna are (21×12×1.6) mm. Its substrate dimensions are (30 x 30 x 1.6) mm. The design is tested by the frequencies 3.1 GHz-10.6 GHz Ultra-Wideband. For single-band 10.4 GHz, the proposed antenna gain is 5.06 dB, and VSWR is less than 2. The design is simulated successfully by computer simulation technology. The research technique causes gain enhancement with the range of 1.2 dB to 5.06 dB. The technique provides high gain at a single band for wireless communication applications.

In beyond 5G (B5G) network, unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) is considered as a promising solution to improve network coverage and satisfy the wide variety of service requirements. In B5G, mobile terminals (MTs) will be able to connect to UAVs flying in different altitudes and serving different classes of applications such as enhanced mobile broadband (eMBB), ultra reliable low latency communication (uRLLC) and security intensive applications such as security as a service (SaaS). It may be noted that UAVs in high altitude incur high power consumption, but reduced secrecy throughput and packet loss. In contrast, lower altitude UAVs incur high packet loss and secrecy throughput with reduced power consumption. Due to such trade-off and the fact that the traditional user association problem is NP hard, selecting an appropriate UAV to satisfy the user requirement is a computationally challenging task. In this work, an UAV selection mechanism has been proposed for UAV enabled B5G network based on analytic hierarchy process (AHP) which essentially captures the aforementioned trade-off while associating the MTs with the UAVs. The proposed AHP selects the best UAV based on the application class. Simulation results show that the proposed UAV selection mechanism outperforms the existing best downlink (BD) based approach in terms of user throughput, secrecy throughput and packet loss rate.

To become auto-adaptive, computer systems should be able to have some knowledge of incoming applications even before launching the application on the system, so that the runtime environment can be customized to the particular needs of this application. In this paper, we propose the architecture of an auto-tuner which relies on record linkage methods to match an incoming application with a database of already known applications. We then present a concrete implementation of this auto-tuner on high performance computing (HPC) systems, to submit unknown incoming applications with the best possible parametrization of a smart prefetch strategy by analyzing their metadata. We test this auto-tuner in conditions close to a production environment, and show an improvement of 28% compared to using the default parametrization. The conducted evaluation reveals a negligible overhead of our auto-tuner when running in production and a significant resilience for parallel use on a high-traffic HPC cluster. © 2021, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

The consensus algorithm is the core component of blockchain technology and a key link to maintaining the security of the blockchain network. In the Raft consensus algorithm, since the term growth range is not specified in the algorithm, malicious nodes can obtain the leader status by increasing their term value, and the fairness of the Raft cluster leader election is damaged. To solve the above problems, in this paper, we restore the attack experiment, which is a malicious node gaining leader status by increasing its term value. Identify malicious nodes by dynamically adjusting the growth range of the term, thus achieving a defensive effect. The optimized algorithm resists malicious node attacks with a 79.4% probability and reduces the election time by 11.4% compared to the Raft consensus algorithm in the presence of malicious nodes. On the premise of ensuring high efficiency, the fault tolerance and security of the algorithm have also been significantly improved.

It becomes very common to use cell phones in public transportation and the cars. Vehicular networking has a major problem which is the degradation of signal quality due to interference and the large number of mobile devices. Artificial intelligence (AI) is a promising technique for next-generation wireless networks. Deep learning is a type of AI derived from machine learning; here the machine can learn by itself, unlike programming where it is content to execute rules to the letter predetermined. In addition, AI can be explored in order to solve various problems. In this paper, we tackle the problem of resource allocation in a vehicular small cell network (VSCN). Indeed, we propose a new mechanism based on deep reinforcement learning denoted Resource Allocation based Deep Reinforcement Learning (RA-DRL). The main goal of our proposed method is to maximize the total system sum rate (throughput) while guaranteeing minimum interferences, Quality of Service (QoS) and the demand for all users. Simulation results demonstrate that our proposed RA-DRL algorithm exhibits better performance comparing to the other methods, by maximizing the total system sum rate while maintaining inter-VSCs interferences and a minimum latency
