We consider 4-loop Feynman diagrams with 11 internal lines. The associated 10-dimensional loop integrals are calculated for four diagrams with massive internal lines, and we further handle the massless case of the diagram referenced in the literature as M61. The computations are performed with double exponential (DE), Quasi-Monte Carlo (lattice and embedded lattice rules) and adaptive integration algorithms, which do not require any user input regarding the integrand behavior. The lattice rule methods are combined with a transformation to help alleviate boundary singularities. The embedded lattice rules are implemented in CUDA C and their execution is accelerated using an NVIDIA Quadro GV100 GPU, whereas DE is parallelized over MPI and executed on an AMD cluster. Adaptive integration is performed with the ParInt multivariate integration package, which is also layered over MPI. For the massless M61 diagram we use a dimensional regularization approach and extrapolation. The results will be compared with respect to accuracy and efficiency, and verified with pySecDec.

The penetration of electric vehicles (EVs) embedded with information and communication technology (ICT) devices and tools form a huge connected network that can be viewed as Internet-of-EVs (IoEV). The huge data gathered in IoEV network needs to be processed at cloud-based infrastructure which has abundant resources. However, due to the high mobility of the EVs, resource management from the remote cloud service providers has become one of the most difficult tasks to be performed in this environment. In this regard, data analytics fused with fog or edge computing can be leveraged to increase the resource availability in V2G environment where resources are provided to the EVs on the edge of the network. Keeping these points in mind, this paper presents a new framework for integration of cloud computing and IoEV on the edge of the network which provides flexibility to the end users for smooth execution of various applications. In addition, a resource allocation and job scheduling strategy for EVs at the edge of the network is presented in the paper. The results obtained with respect to various performance metrics confirm the applicability of the proposed scheme for future applications in V2G scenario.

With the tremendous increased scale of networks, data transferring plays a very important role in high performance computing. Traditionally, when a task is completed, the data associated with the task will be released to free the space for the following tasks. However, the following task may require the same data, which will be fetched back and the efficiency will be affected too. In this paper, we implement a data caching method so as to improve the performance of the system. When a task is completed, the data will be stored for a longer time. If the previous used data is requested before releasing, there will be no transferring cost. With the help of data caching, the performance of the network in handling real-time tasks is significantly improved while the traffic jamming is also decreased. We extend the previous single data model to multiple type of data among servers. Tasks arrive in an online fashion, and when handling a task on some network server, we have no information about the future tasks. Assuming the storage cost is submodular, which is well adopted in reality, we propose an online algorithm to minimize the total transfer and caching costs of the system. Via theoretical analysis, the competitive ratio of the algorithm is proved to be a constant. © 2021, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

With the full arrival of the digital era, fueled by both information technology and business marketing, rumors are produced and spread endlessly on social networks. During the recent novel coronavirus pneumonia epidemic, online rumors have continued to flourish. Most existing studies on traditional rumor detection rely on a large number of features in practical applications. However, the current severe epidemic scenarios have limited rumor information features, and it remains a challenging problem to detect epidemic rumors with high accuracy using only limited information. As a result, we propose a novel Few-shot Rumor Detection model (FRD) for the novel coronavirus pneumonia, which is combined with meta-learning to be able to accurately identify rumors as soon as possible in crises. Specifically, we started by using the BERT+BiLstM combination for rumor text feature extraction and representation to generate the historical rumor sample-wise vector and epidemic rumor sample-wise vector; secondly, the prototypical network was introduced to summarize the historical rumor data, and the feature vectors of samples belonging to the same category were averaged to obtain the prototype representation of historical rumor category; finally, we utilize the modified cosine similarity measure function to calculate the distance between the class-wise vector of historical rumor text and the sample-wise vector of epidemic rumor, and complete the rumor detection according to the nearest neighbor method. Our experimental results on English datasets show that the FRD rumor detection model proposed in this paper is superior to other baseline algorithms in terms of accuracy, precision, recall and macro F1 value. From the comparison of experimental results, the FRD model can effectively improve conventional rumor detection methods, and better realize the early detection of sudden epidemic rumors.

The ground based mobile perimeter surveillance of many military and civil infrastructures to detect and track potential threatening targets on ground or in the air is still a very important capability of sensor systems. Such dangerous targets can be suicide attackers or drones, which violate the privacy of individuals or which can be used for spying, smuggling, or acts of terrorism. To demonstrate the possibilities of current technologies and processing methods, a high performance mechanically scanning surveillance radar sensor and a high-resolution camera were successfully combined for these applications. Both sensors have a high measurement update rate of up to 1.6 Hz. The most remarkable feature is the use of a 94 GHz radar sensor with 3D localization, georeferencing, extended Doppler analysis, RCS calibration and multi target tracking for stand-off monitoring in real-time of an area of interest. Furthermore, the real-time images of the multi-sensor system are transferred from the operator's computer to several mobile devices to disseminate an overview of the situation. The implementation of the real-time data processing and the real time data visualization plus the intuitive system control was done successfully. The stored radar and camera data can be used for the conservation of evidence, for further offline processing and for algorithm development.

Trusted computing defines how to securely measure, store, and verify the integrity of software controlling a computer. One of the major challenge that make them hard to be applied in practice is the issue with software updates. Specifically, an operating system update causes the integrity violation because it changes the well-known initial state trusted by remote verifiers, such as integrity monitoring systems. Consequently, the integrity monitoring of remote computers becomes unreliable due to the high amount of false positives. We address this problem by adding an extra level of indirection between the operating system and software repositories. We propose a trusted software repository (TSR), a secure proxy that overcomes the shortcomings of previous approaches by sanitizing software packages. Sanitization consists of modifying unsafe installation scripts and adding digital signatures in a way software packages can be installed in the operating system without violating its integrity. TSR leverages shielded execution, i.e., Intel SGX, to achieve confidentiality and integrity guarantees of the sanitization process. TSR is transparent to package managers, and requires no changes in the software packages building and distributing processes. Our evaluation shows that running TSR inside SGX is practical;since it induces only similar to 1.18x performance overhead during package sanitization compared to the native execution without SGX. TSR supports 99.76% of packages available in the main and community repositories of Alpine Linux while increasing the total repository size by 3.6%.

Recently, OpenCL has been emerging as a programming model for energy-efficient FPGA accelerators. However, the state-of-the-art OpenCL frameworks for FPGAs suffer from poor performance and usability. This paper proposes a high-level synthesis framework of OpenCL for FPGAs, called SOFF. It automatically synthesizes a datapath to execute many OpenCL kernel threads in a pipelined manner. It also synthesizes an efficient memory subsystem for the datapath based on the characteristics of OpenCL kernels. Unlike previous high-level synthesis techniques, we propose a formal way to handle variable-latency instructions, complex control flows, OpenCL barriers, and atomic operations that appear in real-world OpenCL kernels. SOFF is the first OpenCL framework that correctly compiles and executes all applications in the SPEC ACCEL benchmark suite except three applications that require more FPGA resources than are available. In addition, SOFF achieves the speedup of 1.33 over Intel FPGA SDK for OpenCL without any explicit user annotation or source code modification.

This article proposes an approach to the problem of computational capacities analysis of the computing continuum via theoretical framework of equilibrium phase-transitions and numerical simulations. We introduce the concept of phase transitions in computing continuum and show how this phenomena can be explored in the context of workflow makespan, which we treat as an order parameter. We simulate the behavior of the computational network in the equilibrium regime within the framework of the XY-model defined over complex agent network with Barabasi-Albert topology. More specifically, we define Hamiltonian over complex network topology and sample the resulting spin-orientation distribution with the Metropolis-Hastings technique. The key aspect of the paper is derivation of the bandwidth matrix, as the emergent effect of the "low-level" collective spin interaction. This allows us to study the first order approximation to the makespan of the "high-level" system-wide workflow model in the presence of data-flow anisotropy and phase transitions of the bandwidth matrix controlled by the means of "noise regime" parameter η. For this purpose, we have built a simulation engine in Python 3.6. Simulation results confirm existence of the phase transition, revealing complex transformations in the computational abilities of the agents. Notable feature is that bandwidth distribution undergoes a critical transition from single to multi-mode case. Our simulations generally open new perspectives for reproducible comparative performance analysis of the novel and classic scheduling algorithms. © 2021, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.
