Satellite computing is emerging as a promising domain for delivering mobile services that meet stringent Quality of Service (QoS) requirements, such as low latency, to users. However, the inherent mobility of satellites as computing nodes can precipitate QoS degradation, a challenge not encountered in terrestrial cloud systems. This discrepancy poses significant adaptation challenges for cloud service orchestration systems, such as Kubernetes, due to the rapid movement of satellites. This poster introduces a service orchestration system and a corresponding service placement strategy tailored for satellite computing environments. Our proposed architecture and strategy surpass traditional fixed instance deployment by not only achieving lower average latency but also maintaining an optimal balance between benefits and costs.

This work underscores the pivotal role of unobtrusive stress detection and presents the development of auto-generated compact models tailored for on-device inference through Neural architecture Search (NAS). These models aim to facilitate efficient stress monitoring directly on low-power devices, representing a promising avenue for advancing personalized healthcare with continuous monitoring and effective digital interventions.

This paper presents the design and implementation of a system for processing and analyzing large-scale time-series data generated in semiconductor deposition processes. By adopting a real-time data collection and analysis architecture divided into Edge and Server layers, the system enables continuous retraining and updating of machine learning models based on real-time data streams. The evaluation of the model's performance demonstrates that additional training data significantly improves the model's accuracy in predicting process outcomes. Our approach not only provides a practical solution for real-time decision-making support in semiconductor manufacturing but also offers a scalable and adaptable framework applicable to various industrial sectors requiring real-time data analysis and processing. The results highlight the potential of integrating big data and artificial intelligence technologies to drive industrial innovation and optimize manufacturing processes.

Along with constructing new power systems and the Energy Internet, much power data is generated and stored at the edge devices, which may contain customer privacy and be challenging to use. Besides, the lack of computing power and the untrustworthy environment in the edge layer prevent further development of the data. How to effectively and securely utilize the accumulated power data and facilitate the construction of new power systems and power business transformation is now a significant challenge for the State Grid Corporation of China (SGCC). This paper proposes a new data sharing architecture based on federated learning and blockchain technology, which exchanges the data model instead of the original data to ensure data security with a privacy protection protocol and a lightweight consensus for edge devices. Meanwhile, an incentive mechanism is established to encourage high-quality data share and training. In conclusion, the architecture has approximate accuracy with acceptable privacy cost compared to traditional methods with high privacy preservation It can be widely used in big data scenarios in smart distribution or metering areas with medium-sized network scenarios.

In this work, we investigated research identifying different sources causing biases impacting artificial intelligence and machine learning applications. This work evaluated other areas causing unfairness in artificial intelligence and machine learning-based applications. This work identifies that many avenues still need to be explored. Some future directions and solutions can be taken to mitigate the problem of bias in artificial intelligence and machine learning-based systems. There are still many future directions and solutions that can be taken to mitigate the problem of bias in AI systems. This survey will likely motivate researchers to tackle these issues shortly by observing existing work in their respective fields.

With the increasing pervasiveness of software solutions, which are joining cyber-physical spaces and forming partnerships with humans, the importance of the trustworthiness of these systems is growing. At the same time, however, trustworthiness assurance is becoming extremely difficult in these complex ecosystems due to the high autonomy, unpredictability and limited controllability of their individual players. To mitigate safety risks for humans, these Dynamic Autonomous Ecosystems (e.g., Smart Cities) might require their member systems (e.g., Autonomous Vehicles) to execute software modules called Smart Agents to ensure safe coordination among themselves. Unfortunately, this technology is currently in its very early development with many challenges ahead. Namely, there is no guaranteed way of ensuring that these agents run on the right piece of hardware, with the right privileges required to fulfill their roles, and without the execution environment tampering with their instructions. This way, the host system (e.g., the Autonomous Vehicle we need to control for the sake of the safety of other ecosystem members) can escape the actual safety measures to be enforced. In this paper, we are proposing a novel software architecture that focuses on the detection of instruction tampering and privileged access in Smart Agents, and this way support the vision of trustworthy and safe evolution of Dynamic Autonomous Ecosystems.
