With Service Oriented computing (SOC), services have a central role in rapid development and deployment of loosely-coupled, massively distributed scientific applications with supporting services spanning from Computer Algebra systems (CAS) to Grid services. Key features from service orientation can be easily integrated in a SOC-based development. the integration of SOA with Grid infrastructures and Grid Services is an open issue for current research. A service-oriented architecture for the Grid (like OGSA) and its corresponding infrastructure, namely OGSI, are fundamental in order to develop Service Orientation over a Grid infrastructure. the PEGAF project is developing a generic platform for the modeling, implementation and execution of workflow-based application with Grid orientation. In this paper we are presenting the general architecture of the PEGAF platform, and an ontology-oriented view as the core of a flexible architecture for the definition and execution of dynamic workflows.

On the other hand, non-functional requirements are concerned with how the application provides the required functionality rather than defining what the application does. Both kinds of requirements are equally important for the final product, but designers try to achieve them by using different mechanisms. this paper introduces ATRIUM, a methodology for developing interactive systems where functional and not functional requirements are considered in a unified and systematically manner by using documented experience in different level of abstraction: interaction, design and architecture. this methodology is standard compliance as the ISO/IEC 25010 is one of the inputs for the process.
