this paper proposes a task reallocation method for multi Unmanned Grounded Vehicle (UGV) systems in sensor and actuator fault situations. the proposed method formulates the task reallocation problem as a Mixed-Integer Linear Programming (MILP) using the distance between UGVs and task priority. When a UGV sensor or actuator fault occurs, the proposed method solves the MILP and finds the optimal task reallocation solution. the solution ensures continuing high-priority tasks for the multi-UGV systems. the proposed method is validated in simulation and experiment.

In paper we sudy a queuing network with positive and negative requests, consisting of systems with control queue and quarantine node. the application of such a network as a stochastic model of a computer network with antivirus is described. A system of difference-differential equations (DDE) for possible states of described queueing network is derived. In a similar way, a system of DDE for the expected incomes of the network’s systems, in the case when the incomes from the network’s transitions between states depend on these states, was constructed. To solve the obtained DDE systems, the method of successive approximations, combined with the method of series, was used. It is shown that the probabilities of the network’s states and the expected incomes of the network’s systems can be represented in the form of converging power series. Recurrence relations for calculating the coefficients of these series are given. the use of this technique is illustrated by the example of finding the state probabilities of the studied queueing network. © 2022, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

the investigation of the oscillation theory in solving differential equations holds significant practical value and finds extensive applications in domains, such as radio engineering, communication engineering, computer networks, control systems and biology. this paper is concerned with the oscillatory and asymptotic behavior of third-order neutral differential equations with damping and distributed deviating arguments. By employing generalised Riccati transforms and integral averaging techniques, we establish some new theorems to ensure that all solutions of this equation oscillate or converge to zero, and the obtained results extend and improve some known results in the literature. Finally, we provide illustrative examples to demonstrate the significance of our main results.

this paper considered the ability of flexible printed cables (FPCs) with single modal reservation (MR) to attenuate ultra-short pulses in various types of failures. We investigated four FPC structures by modifying modal filters (MF) on a double-sided printed circuit board (PCB). We considered five cases that simulate failures, including short circuit (SC) at the output, open circuit (OC) at the output, SC at both input and output, OC at both input and output, and SC at the input together with OC at the output. the simulation was performed with the real structure dimensions. the simulation results showed that for each structure, in the case of failure at one end only, the attenuation became greater (for three structures) or equal (for one) to the attenuation before failure. the FPC was constructed using a double-sided PCB with an arrangement of signal and reference conductors that employed broad side and edge coupling. this configuration was modified by adjusting the MF to achieve the desired performance and resulted in a maximum attenuation of 5 times (Umax=0.195 V at OC-50, whereas before failure Umax=0.4 V). In addition, the attenuation was also observed when failure was at both ends at the same time (SC-SC and OC-OC), although it was much smaller (1.3-1.9 times). In some cases, the attenuation at SC-OC was even greater than in the before failure case and in the case of failure at one end only. © 2023 IEEE.

Accurate Traffic Flow Prediction (TFP) is crucial for enhancing the efficiency and safety of transportation systems, so it has attracted intensive researches by exploiting spatial-temporal dependencies within road networks. However, existing works only consider the case of centralized data collection with all traffic data observed, which may raise privacy concerns as each region of a city may have its own traffic administration department and the traffic data is not allowed to distribute. therefore, this paper proposes to use Federated Learning (FL) to address this issue by allowing all clients (i.e., traffic administration departments in all regions in our problem) to collaboratively train TFP models without exchanging raw data, thereby offering a solution in maintaining data privacy. Nevertheless, most existing FL methods aim to learn a global model that performs well universally, so they cannot well handle the non-Independent and Identically Distributed (non-IID) traffic data naturally over different regions. To cope with this problem, this paper develops a new FL framework termed 'personalized Federated learning with Traffic Pattern Sharing' (FedTPS) to solve federated TFP problem. Our FedTPS critically exploits the underlying common traffic patterns (e.g., morning and evening rush hours) shared across different city regions and meanwhile maintaining the region-specific data characteristics in a personalized FL manner. Specifically, to extract the common traffic patterns, we decompose the traffic data in each client via using discrete wavelet transform, where the low-frequency components uncover the stable traffic dynamics of different regions and thus can be considered as the common traffic patterns. these common patterns are then shared among different clients through traffic pattern repositories on the server side to aid the global collaborative traffic flow modeling. the existence and uniqueness of solutions of nonlinear fractional differential equations is the key point for stability theory and the design of feedback stabilization controllers. In this paper, we investigate the existence of solutions for initial problems of fractional hybrid differential equations of variable-order 0 < ς(ϱ) < 1. Based on the generalized intervals and piecewise constant functions, the existence of solutions is established with the help of a fixed point theorem in the Banach algebra due to Dhage.

News recommender systems aim to help users find interesting and relevant news stories while mitigating information overload. Over the past few decades, various challenges have emerged in developing effective algorithms for real-world scenarios. these challenges include capturing evolving user preferences and addressing concept drift during reading sessions. Additionally, ensuring the freshness and timeliness of news content poses significant obstacles. To address these issues, we utilize an innovative sequential pattern mining approach known as Marbles to capture user behavior. Marbles leverages frequent episodes to generate a collection of association rules, where a frequent episode is a partially ordered pattern that occurs frequently in the input sequence. the recommendation process involves identifying relevant rules extracted from these patterns and weighting them. Subsequently, a heuristic procedure assesses candidate rules and generates a list of recommendations for users based on their most recent reading session. Notably, we conduct our evaluation in a streaming scenario, simulating real-world usage, where both our algorithm and baselines dynamically improve their models with each user click. through our empirical evaluation in this streaming-based scenario, which closely models real-world usage, we demonstrate the applicability of the Marbles algorithm in session-based recommendation. Our proposed approach outperforms baseline algorithms on two real-world data sets, effectively addressing the challenges specific to the news domain. © 2023, the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

thanks to their extensive use in Internet-based applications, ontologies have gained significant popularity and recognition within the semantic web domain. they are widely regarded as valuable sources of semantics and interoperability in artificial intelligence systems. With the exponential growth of unstructured data on the web, there is a pressing need for automated acquisition of ontologies from unstructured text. this research area has seen the emergence of various methodologies that leverage techniques from machine learning, text mining, knowledge representation and reasoning, information retrieval, and high level natural language processing. these new techniques represent an opportunity to introduce automation into the process of ontology acquisition from unstructured text. To this end, this contribution offers a semi-automatic framework with a concrete usage of a tooled NLP-based approach to design an application ontology in a real-world industrial context. We discuss the state of the art analysis, the challenges met and the technological choices for the realization of this approach. this paper investigates the existence of positive solutions to boundary value problems for nonlinear fractional differential equations with φ-Laplacian operator, which is fundamental to the study of control theory for such problems. Based on fixed point theorems, several new existence results for positive solutions, in terms of the value of parameters h 1 ,h 2 ,h 3 are obtained. Finally, two examples are given to illustrate the main results.

Digital transformation requires new innovative approaches in the design of data exchange and file storage systems. the analysis of the architecture of well-known IT projects and approaches showed that each of them cannot solve one of three problems at the same time: automatic scaling, the absence of a single point of failure, and minimizing the required storage space for files and their backups. the presented architecture of DecStore, a blockchain-based peer-to-peer file storage system, solves these problems simultaneously. It reduces the total amount of disk space required by 25% through the use of erasure coding. Automatic horizontal scaling and the absence of a single point of failure are provided by a load balancer based on algorithms implemented inside the Hyperledger chaincode. DecStore can become a subsystem for secure data exchange for government-to-business and business-to-business systems for state supervision in various areas, including financial and insurance audits.
