In vehicular ad hoc networks, few existing works on task offloading focus on co-offloading at intra-vehicle level and inter-vehicle level for deep neural network (DNN) inference. Moreover, they ignore the decentralized environment and selfishness of vehicles. this seriously limits the improvement of quality of services for DNN inference. To fill this gap, we formulate a fine-grained offloading problem considering two-level offloading and vehicle selfishness. To solve the problem, we propose a distributed algorithm based on coalition game to encourage vehicles to share their resources. Simulation results show that, the proposed algorithm outperforms the state-of-the-arts in terms of system payoff and running time of algorithms for most cases. © the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

With the increasing concern for environmental protection and resource optimization, efficient waste sorting has become a serious challenge today. In this paper, we propose a new offloading control problem that aims to solve waste sorting in wireless bin communication networks. Due to limited computational power, bins belonging to embedded devices rely on simple classification models with varying accuracy. In this scenario, consider a network of intelligent bins, each acting as an independent agent capable of deciding to offload an image to the edge server with a more accurate but resource-intensive model when the local classification is deemed inaccurate. thus, Our goal is to find a lightweight online offloading policy that can achieve the best possible sorting accuracy while balancing transmission traffic. the method utilizes a Deep Q-network algorithm that enables each intelligent bin to make image-processing decisions autonomously. With the increase in the size of distributed systems implemented in a global computer environment, mathematical methods for formalizing their development and functioning become one of the important problems. the article proposes the automata-based approach to distributed systems representation and control of their operation using balance-based equations. the transient mode of the hybrid communication system that includes two wireless information channels operating in optical and millimeter domains is considered for the first time. the accurate analytical method for analyzing the transient behavior of the hybrid system is developed. It allows us to analyze the transient behavior of the system in an operating mode, in the case of a failure one of the channels, and periodical man-made radio influences. the expressions for reliability indicators and performance metrics of the hybrid system are presented and numerical calculations demonstrate the proposed method. © 2021, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

In group communications, multiple processes first establish a group and then each process sends a message to multiple processes while receiving messages from multiple processes in the group. In addition, messages are required to be causally/totally delivered to each process. Due to the limited computation and communication resource, processes cannot send and receive as messages as the processes would like. We newly propose a notification-based data transmission procedure with two-phase slow start (TPSS) to efficiently exchange multimedia messages in a group so as to satisfy QoS requirement. In TPSS, the transmission rate of a process is increased by transmitting redundant data so that no data is lost even if some packets are lost.

5G networks are being actively implemented in many countries around the world. the goal of introducing technologies that make up the new standard is to reduce information transmission delays, increase transmission speed, and increase the number of devices served. the ultimate goal of the study is the built digital twin of a telecom operator. One of the important components of a communication service provider (CSP) digital twin is the customer’s digital twin. Building a customer’s digital twin is an extremely difficult task, because a number of properties of a real customer are difficult to formalize. We offer a customer experience model, which will become part of the general customer digital twin model, complementing the behavioral aspect of a real customer. General model of fuzzy cognitive maps (FCMs) was chosen as the mathematical basis for this model. For this study, we used data from two big CSPs.
