the talk will briefly describe three of Turing's major achievements, in three different fields: com-putability, biological modeling and artificial intelligence. Interspersed with this, I will explain how each of them directly motivated and inspired me to carry out a variety of research projects over a period of 30 years, the results of which can all be viewed humbly as extensions and generalizations of Turing's pioneering and ingenious insights.

An ackerman mobile robot system based on ROS and lidar was developed in this research. the i5 industrial control computer was taken as the core controller, and the Ubuntu system was installed inside, the control core of the driving part was the STM32 microcontroller. Using the external environment information obtained by lidar and IMU sensors, the corresponding SLAM algorithm was developed and designed under the Linux system based on the distributed framework of ROS operating system. through establishing the feature map of environment, the system can locate position and posture of vehicle body in real time, and generate optimal path according to the given target point automatically identify and avoid surrounding obstacles. According to the state of the robot and the commands of the user, it can realize the functions of human-computer interaction, SLAM map scanning and drawing, Wi-fi remote control, real-time positioning, autonomous navigation, etc. efficiently and quickly. © 2021 Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Knowledge Building pedagogy (Scardamalia & Bereiter, 1996) offers a Knowledge Age framework for education by supporting students' capacity for innovation. Students work in a community, building on each other's knowledge, exploring and refining each other's theories, and engaging in the progressive improvement of their ideas. this knowledge work is supported by Knowledge Forum (Scardamalia, 2004) -the online environment that provides scaffolding supports for idea development. Teachers who are eager to explore Knowledge Building pedagogy and Knowledge Forum technology in their classrooms may not know where to begin, and application of Knowledge Building principles may not be obvious. To aid their process of invention, examples of Knowledge Building principles in action should prove helpful. the goal of this session is to provide such examples, and to collectively develop effective strategies, curriculum and resources that would allow newcomers to get started with Knowledge Building.

Although the model of engineering education based on industry/university collaboration is regarded as an effective way to foster innovative talents, there are still many difficulties in the implementation of mass computer engineering education for undergraduates because of limited educational resources. Taking the example of the theories and practice of the Mainframe education Center of Huazhong University of science and technology (HUST), this paper attempts to discuss the necessity, actuality and operability of the model of industry/university collaboration engineering education, suggesting that nowadays it is an effective way to conduct engineering education towards undergraduates by means of making full use of enterprises' resources.

the research aims to investigate how to promote the rapid adoption of unmanned logistics in the future through community design. the trend of contactless logistics after COVID-19 has gradually accelerated the popularity of unmanned logistics. However, the current unmanned logistics has encountered many problems at the practical application level. the current community space cannot accommodate the existence of such new facilities. through the futurology research method, this research deduces the method of rapid promotion and application of future community unmanned logistics from different aspects such as trend, analogy prediction, extrapolation and vision. the study proposes to use the building interface space of the community as the intermediate space of the unmanned logistics system, so as to promote the rapid integration of the unmanned logistics system and the community space system, and provide more social services for the community. the study provides a community space-level application strategy for the rapid diffusion of unmanned logistics in the future. © 2023, the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

Stable normally-off operation with high threshold voltage(V) is strongly desired in power switching applications. A p-Ga N area under the barrier-recessed gate is employed to improve the V and off-state characteristics of the Ga N-based HEMTs. TCAD-based device simulations are carried out to demonstrate and optimize the proposed structures. Finally, improved performances with V over 5V and breakdown voltage（BV） over 1500 V are achieved in the HEMTs with combined gate p-Ga N design and multiple step-shaped field plate structures.

Due to advancement in cloud computing technology, an order-preserving encryption schemes, called Programmable Order-Preserving Secure Index (POPIS), has been proposed. this scheme hides the original data while keeping the order of the encrypted values the same as that of the original data. So the service provider can perform query processing without decryption. However, because the encrypted data in POPIS is sorted by certain column values, it is weak to both order matching attacks and count attacks. To solve this problem, we propose a data encryption scheme using periodic functions. Our scheme generates encryption signatures based on data groups and periodic functions. With this, we can preserve the order of each data group and also can guarantee the data privacy. Finally, we show from the performance analysis that the proposed scheme is better in terms of the degree of privacy protection than the existing data encryption scheme. © Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2017.

Directly benefiting from the deep neural network, object detection algorithm has played a key role in industrial automation in recent years. computer motherboard component detection is essential in the industrial automation of computer assembly or disassembly and custom computer maintenance scenarios. Existing public datasets like MS COCO do not focus on particular detection scenarios. In addition, the popular datasets (e.g., PCB-Aol, micro-PCB, etc.) committed to electronic component detection are limited in the number of categories, and diversity. So, we construct a multi-category and diversity dataset called CMC-14. the dataset contains 14 categories, 2,145 images, and 25,718 labeled instances with a large variance in appearance. Moreover, there is no deep neural network model focused on computer motherboard detection before our work. computer motherboard component detection exists two great challenges: (1) Some objects are small in scale and lack sufficient feature information;(2) Some objects are similar in appearance, but they do not belong to the same category. To cope with such challenges, we improved the YOLOv5n and designed a dense small object data augmentation algorithm. Extensive experiments and comprehensive evaluations on the CMC-14 benchmark dataset show the effectiveness of our work and methods. the dataset is available at https://***/CMC-14/CMC-14/releases/tag/CMC-14. © 2023 Copyright held by the owner/author(s). Artificial intelligence (AI) technology is booming in information society, and its role has become one of the hot research topics in the field of image identification. Flowers play essential role in daily life, but the identification and know well of some flower species is not clear. therefore, the system is of great significance to help people obtain the detailed information of plant flowers. the proposed method is to use machine learning algorithm to process and identify flower images, mainly using transfer learning model, based on the trained model parameters, and taking 25 reptiles as the training base. After the optimal training and parameters adjustment, the extracted features were transferred to the flower model. the experimental results show that the effective recognition accuracy of different flowers is up to 98.20%. the proposed algorithm can be adopted to the small-scale training task, and can reduces the amount of machine operation. In addition, the algorithm also can obtain satisfactory recognition accuracy within a short time. the flower information is presented in the form of dynamic web pages, which improved readability of idenfication results. © 2023 IEEE.
