With the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence and deep learning, medical image analysis has become a critical tool in modern healthcare, significantly improving diagnostic accuracy and efficiency. However, AI-based methods also raise serious privacy concerns, as medical images often contain highly sensitive patient information. this review offers a comprehensive overview of privacy-preserving techniques in medical image analysis, including encryption, differential privacy, homomorphic encryption, federated learning, and generative adversarial networks. We explore the application of these techniques across various medical image analysis tasks, such as diagnosis, pathology, and telemedicine. Notably, we organizes the review based on specific challenges and their corresponding solutions in different medical image analysis applications, so that technical applications are directly aligned with practical issues, addressing gaps in the current research landscape. Additionally, we discuss emerging trends, such as zero-knowledge proofs and secure multi-party computation, offering insights for future research. this review serves as a valuable resource for researchers and practitioners and can help advance privacy-preserving in medical image analysis. © the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

5G networks slicing technology, recognized as one of the possible solutions to radio resources scarcity and networks inflexibility problems, is getting the most attention from researchers and standard organizations around the world. this situation was expected since slicing capabilities are very well suited for mobile networks operators allowing significant changes in their range of services and daily operations. In addition, some researches showed that priority-based scheduling mechanisms can be implemented within slicing framework. this paper analyzes the performance measures of a wireless network implementing priority-based scheduling mechanism within slicing framework and described as queueing system with buffer and retrial queue. © 2022, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

conferences are an essential tool for scientific communication. In disciplines such as computer Science the majority of original research results are published in conference proceedings. In this study, we have analyzed the role of conference proceedings in various disciplines and propose an alternative approach to research evaluation based on conference proceedings sources indexed in Scopus and Scimago Journal Rank (SJR). this allows one to categorize conference proceedings in quartiles Q1–Q4 by analogy with SJR journal quartiles. Out of 171 conference proceedings sources analyzed, 38 conference proceedings in Engineering (45% of the list) and 23 in computer Science (32% of the list) have an SJR level corresponding to the first quartile journals in these areas, which emphasizes the exceptional importance of conferences in these disciplines the comparison of this bibliometric-driven ranking with the expert-driven CORE ranking in computer Science showed a 62% overlap, as well as a significant average rank correlation of the category distribution. © 2022, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) encompass several strategies aimed at ensuring safe and efficient vehicle-to-vehicle interactions on roads. these strategies involve the implementation of advanced technologies, including intelligent traffic lights, wireless (V2X) communication systems, visual recognition systems, and algorithms. In this research, we introduce the implementation of a distributed algorithm tailored for managing highly complex road infrastructure, particularly intersections in urban areas with multiple lanes. Our evaluation of the system's performance involves applying a type of density distribution called "Biased" and comparing it against a traditional traffic control system (traffic lights - "Green Wave"). the inclusion of this type of density distribution aims to align our approach with real-world traffic conditions, specifically the variation in densities across different lanes. this comprehensive assessment allows for a more thorough evaluation of system performance.

In this paper, we present and quantitatively show a novel technique for the creation of an optically multi-carrier that is founded upon single and nested electro-absorption modulators (EAMs). these setups include single and four cascaded EAMs, and a radio-frequency (RF) signal. these stacked EAMs are triggered by a radio frequency signal that has various frequencies in each EAM. Where the EAM1, EAM2, EAM3, and EAM4 are driven by the RF signal with the frequency of (fe, fe/ 2, fe/ 4, and fe/ 8 ) GHz, respectively. the MATLAB program is used to develop and model the computational equations of the developed models, as well as to simulate the structures. We demonstrate that perhaps the amount of spectral lines is precisely dependent on the magnitude of the RF input signal to the EAM in our simulations. Additionally, the number of optical lines varies linearly with EAMs number. Furthermore, the number of optical lines that have a spectral flatness of 1dB also increases with increasing the number of EAMs. © 2022, the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

In this paper, a queueing system with a flexible limited processor sharing discipline according to which a limited number of requests can receive service simultaneously is considered. Each request has the required service rate and when the number of requests in service is such that the bandwidth of the server is sufficient for providing this rate for all requests, the requests receive this service rate. We suggest that the requests on service can disturb (interfere) each other and the effective bandwidth of the server decreases with increase of the number of servicing requests. In the situation when the effective bandwidth is not enough, all requests receive service at a proportionally reduced rate. the arrival flow is defined by a Markovian arrival process. A request, which cannot enter the service immediately upon arrival due to a limitation on the number of requests that can receive service simultaneously, will make retrials according to the classical retrial strategy. the process of the system states is defined as the level-dependent multidimensional Markov process. the infinitesimal generator of this process is derived. the main performance measures of the system are obtained. With the development of industrial intelligence and information technology, the industrial network presents a new characteristic of multivariate network. In this paper, a production element scheduling optimisation algorithm for dynamic change of production cost in multivariate industrial network is designed in order to reduce the scheduling element falling into local optimum. First of all, the multi -time granularity prediction method based on stability selection predicts the production cost of components in multivariate industrial networks. Subsequently, multi -dimensional training is based on multi-dimensional training to learn scheduling optimization algorithm to solve the scheduling optimization of components. Finally, the experiment shows that the algorithm has better performance for optimization of task scheduling in multivariate industrial networks. © the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

Federated learning is proposed to solve data islands and protect privacy. Especially in the big data environment, participating users can build a model together without sharing private sensitive data. However, as the number of end devices becomes larger, and the model becomes more complex, high concurrent access to the cloud server often brings communication delay, and it is also a great challenge to the computing power of end devices. To address this problem, we introduce Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) swarms as mobile edge nodes for end devices. UAV swarms can provide caching and computing resources for end devices. therefore, we can implement edge aggregation of parameters on UAV swarms to reduce direct access to the cloud server. Meanwhile, the distributed end-edge-cloud federated learning architecture based on UAV swarms is an open environment, which may have potential malicious end devices or external channel eavesdropping. Malicious end devices or external eavesdroppers may maliciously poison training data sets or model parameters to reduce the classification accuracy of the model. In order to resist malicious poisoning, on UAV swarms we can calculate the cosine similarities between local parameters and their edge aggregation parameters to exclude malicious parameters, which do not conform to the trend of collaborative convergence. then, the reliable parameters can be aggregated again, and uploaded to the cloud server with Schnorr signature to ensure the authenticity of the data. We analyze the security of the proposed scheme, and verify through experiments that it can resist malicious poisoning effectively and improve the accuracy of the model. © 2022 IEEE.

the rise of vehicle automation has generated significant interest in the potential role of future automated vehicles (AVs). In particular, in highly dense traffic settings, AVs are expected to serve as congestion-dampeners, mitigating the presence of instabilities that arise from various sources. However, in many applications, such maneuvers rely heavily on non-local sensing or coordination by interacting AVs, thereby rendering their adaptation to real-world settings a particularly difficult challenge. To address this challenge, this paper examines the role of imitation learning in bridging the gap between such control strategies and realistic limitations in communication and sensing. Treating one such controller as an "expert", we demonstrate that imitation learning can succeed in deriving policies that, if adopted by 5% of vehicles, may boost the energy-efficiency of networks with varying traffic conditions by 15% using only local observations.
