In information technology (IT), there is an increasing demand for professionals. However, recruiters need help hiring qualified professionals due to intense competition and a lack of information about the ones seeking employment. this work uses the Engagement by design to reflect on a solution for hiring IT professionals focusing on crowdsourcing using engagement concepts. this study aims to identify the opportunities and challenges of using Engagement by design to create an innovative solution for hiring an IT professional. the study made it possible to identify some items that can improve user engagement in a program aimed at recruiting and retaining IT talent. © 2023 IEEE.

A cooperative two-stage migrating birds optimization (CTMBO) algorithm based on quasi-entropy is proposed to solve complex continuous numerical optimization problems. First, a two-stage cooperative mechanism including different mutation and crossover operators is employed to generate neighborhood solutions. Second, a quasi-entropy index is proposed as the judgment condition to balance exploration and exploitation dynamically. the elitist-guided evolutionary strategy, which is a co-evolution tactic from elite individuals and individuals in the following flock, is applied to strengthen global search capability. Meanwhile, the capability of local search is enhanced by the individual cooperation strategy, which is designed based on a co-evolution tactic among individuals in the following flock. the performance of CTMBO is evaluated on CEC 2017 benchmark suite by comparing it with certain state-of-art algorithms. the experimental results indicate the effectiveness of CTMBO on continuous complex problems. © 2023 IEEE.

In the era of informatization, a large amount of elderly care related information is published on the Internet, which brings huge difficulties for older adults to seek useful and targeted information, also known as digital divide. In order to make it more convenient for the elderly to obtain digital information and effectively narrow the digital divide among older adults, we design a senior-friendly care information recommendation framework named "Policy Finds the Target Elderly". the framework can be divided into knowledge, algorithm, and application three levels. Based on this frame, we develop a prototype based on Shanghai's elderly care information. We end by discussing the limitations and future work of our study. © 2023 IEEE.

Motivation is a key factor in improving the enthusiasm and work performance of crowdsourcing workers. It is important for crowdsourcing platforms to allocate tasks. In order to increase the enthusiasm of workers and thus improve their work performance, this paper formalizes the Crowdsourcing Tasks Allocation (CTA) based on incentives and proposes an adaptive task allocation method with Role-Based Collaboration (RBC) and its E-CARGO model by considering the dynamic changes of the weights of the evaluation factors and the evaluation values. Large-scale randomized experiments show that this method is effective and reliable, which can maximize the performance of the team. More importantly, it can motivate workers under the influence of multiple incentive factors and the environment of real-time growth of crowdsourcing tasks. © 2023 IEEE.

Community detection based on information diffusion is a relatively niche direction. this paper proposes a social network community detection model based on the inner-community information diffusion simulation. the model uses the inner-community information diffusion algorithm adjusted on the naive infectious disease algorithm for node representation, including the dynamic spreading parameter and repeatable infected nodes. Model clusters nodes into communities according to their representation. Experiment results prove that our model outperforms previous related models on synthetic and real datasets. We verify the interpretability of the inner-community information diffusion representation algorithm meanwhile. © 2023 IEEE.

Reference Image Segmentation (RIS) is a challenging task, swhich aims to match the foreground mask of segmented entities with natural language expressions. In order to solve the RIS problem, we propose two modules: Cross-Modal Fusing Vision-Language (CMFVL) module, Vision and Language Sequence Generation (VLSG) module. VLSG receives visual features and language features, generates feature sequences through attention mechanism, and then sends the sequences to CMFVL. CMFVL module first establishes global attention to vision features through Transformer and then inputs vision features and feature sequences generated by VLSG into Transformer for context information interaction. Experiments on three benchmark datasets confirm the effectiveness of our method. © 2023 IEEE.

the memory dirty page prediction technology can effectively predict whether a memory page will be modified (dirty) at the next moment, and is widely used in virtual machine migration, container migration and other fields. In this paper, we propose a machine-learning based method for memory dirty page prediction. the method exploits the temporal and spatial locality principle of memory changes, collects dirty records of pages over a period of time, and uses supervised learning methods for training and predicting the dirty page. We also discuss the influence of data contradiction and data repetition in memory page dataset. the experiments with different memory change frequency dataset show that compared with the traditional time series methods, our machine-learning based method has better performance. © 2023 IEEE.

In dynamic distributed computing environment, due to the uncertainty of resource and computation execution time, how to effectively solve the scheduling problem of interdependent tasks consisting of complex computations has become a significant research topic. As a heuristic just-in-time scheduling algorithm, the priority-based level (PBL) has been proved to have better performance than other existing algorithms. However, due to its own limitations, PBL will cause excessive computing overhead when dealing with high parallelism of ready tasks. To overcome this problem, we propose an improved priority-based level (iPBL) algorithm. Experiments show that iPBL can significantly improve the executing efficiency of PBL algorithm and maintain the same scheduling results as PBL. © 2023 IEEE.

In the era of big data, the continuous development and research of 5G, networks and new technology have promoted the application and implementation of data. As an important output factor of business, the amount of information, the number of data sources, and the quality of data types are increasing exponentially, making smart business technology widely used in business scenarios. Guangxi's sugar output accounts for 60% of China's total, which plays an important role in national sugar safety. In recent years, it has continuously promoted the digital transformation of the sugar industry. the "big data screen"platform was designed using data visualization, which has played a role in promoting the digital transformation of sugar production. this paper analyzes and studies the visualization design of intelligent business data by taking "big data screen"as an example, and introduces the design method of computer-supported cooperative work (CSCW) program suitable for business applications. © 2023 IEEE.
