this paper presents a MPC theory based Multi-Objective Vehicular Adaptive Cruise controlsystemthat can comprehensively address issues of tracking capability, fuel economy and driver desired response. A hierarchical control architecture is utilized in which a lower controller compensates for nonlinear vehicle dynamics and enables tracking of desired acceleration. the upper controller is designed using model predictive controltheory. A cost function is developed that considers the contradictions between tracking error, fuel consumption and driver characteristics while driver longitudinal ride comfort, driver permissible tracking range and rear-end safety are formulated as I/O constraints. Employing a "constraint softening" method to avoid computing infeasibility problems, a control law is developed and implemented using a numerical optimization algorithm. Detailed simulations show that the developed controlsystem provides significant benefits in terms of fuel economy, vehicle safety and tracking capability while at the same time also satisfying driver desired car following characteristics.

Reversible logic attains the dominance in the realm of overwhelming research in logic synthesis and also has the significance in the context of quantum computing because of loss-less information processing. Due to low power dissipation, researchers are first designing smaller components with reversible gates, that eventually lead to design reversible computer. In this paper, we propose a robust architecture of logarithmic barrel shifter that performs bidirectional arithmetic and logical shifting, including rotate operation. Incorporating fault tolerance capability, the circuit is designed very efficiently that exhibits superior performance over state-of-the-art design methods in terms of minimum number of gates, garbage outputs, ancilla inputs, quantum cost, delay and others cost factors.

Mobile Edge computing (MEC) is a promising technique that provides distributed computing and storage resources at the edge of a network. In this talk, we investigate a stochastic optimization problem to minimize the cost of MEC system. Firstly, we use the stability of the task buffer queue as constraints to formulate the cost minimization problem. then we propose the Lyapunov optimization theory to transform the original problem into a deterministic problem. the optimal CPU frequency and optimal transmit power can he obtained in a closed form. In addition, we establish a [O(1/V), O(V)] tradeoff between the system cost and execution latency. Simulation results are provided to verify theoretical analysis and demonstrate the effects of various parameters.

In the context of active vehicle suspensions, this work presents a comparative study between two Sky Hook strategies focused on vibrational comfort: the optimal Sky Hook strategy and the CRONE Sky Hook nominal strategy. this comparative study is conducted for a controltheory perspective using a quarter-vehicle model. the proposed analysis provides a deeper understanding of why the nominal CRONE Sky Hook suspension yields better results than the optimal Sky Hook suspension. the results show that the proposed approach yields better vibrational comfort.
