The diabetic patients may be afflicted by an eye sickness known as diabetic retinopathy (DR) in which excessive blood sugar damages the small blood vessels inside the retina. In the initial stage i.e., Non-proliferative DR (NPDR), fluid starts leaking from blood vessels into retina making it to swell. In this paper, we are presenting an automated technique for detection of four phases: Preprocessing, Feature Extraction, Segmentation and Classification. Pre-processing comprises of removal of noise from the image and converting the image into grayscale. The technique of adaptive histogram can be applied to highlight the hidden portion from the image. In the segmentation process, circular disk segmentation can isolate circular parts from an image. The technique of neural network is applied for classifying diabetic and non-diabetic portion of the image more accurately. The presentation of the proposed work is demonstrated by way of comparing it with existing strategies in phrases of sensitivity, accuracy and specificity. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.

Electricity carbon accounting serves as a critical foundation for regional carbon emission control, low-carbon transformation of industrial enterprises, and carbon reduction in projects and products. Within China's dual carbon control system, local carbon metrics not only account for direct carbon emissions from energy consumption but also incorporate the net zero-emission principle for renewable energy imported through electricity transmission. However, the current electricity carbon accounting system remains incomplete, particularly in establishing traceability methods for renewable energy consumption at regional and key industry levels, which has become an urgent issue requiring resolution for coordinated electricity-carbon development. This study addresses this gap by developing an indirect electricity carbon emission accounting model based on electricity trading data, considering diverse user categories including market-based electricity consumption, priority procurement, and grid proxy procurement. The proposed model enables precise characterization of electricity consumption structures across multiple levels, including regions, industries, and individual enterprises. Through empirical analysis conducted in selected pilot areas, the study validates the effectiveness and practical applicability of the proposed methodology.

Traditional recruitment methods are time-consuming and heavily reliant on manual processes, leading to inefficiencies. This paper explores the integration of AI technologies into a job portal to streamline the hiring process, focusing on AI’s ability to automatically parse and extract information from resumes and job descriptions to match candidates with relevant job opportunities. The platform leverages Large Language Models (LLMs) to extract key information, such as skills, education, and work experience, from both resumes and job descriptions. Fine-tuning through prompt engineering ensures accurate extraction, even when data fields are incomplete or missing. To further enhance matching accuracy, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) techniques are employed. These mechanisms retrieve relevant information from a structured skills database to provide context, which, combined with the generative capabilities of LLMs, enables more contextually accurate matches. Candidates receive personalized job recommendations based on the information extracted from their resumes, while employers can post job descriptions and use AI-driven tools to match candidates. This approach of using contextual prompts not only improves matching accuracy but also reduces computational time, eliminating the need for custom models tailored specifically to resumes or job descriptions.

This paper presents federated learning to identify brain tumors based on MRI scans. A federated learning approach enables a model to be trained on decentralized data sources without requiring direct data exchange. In the field of medical imaging, where privacy rules restrict data exchange, this technique is very beneficial. The study investigates the categorization of brain tumors using EfficientNet, a convolutional neural network design. A federated learning configuration with twenty clients was designed to evaluate model performance. The results show that the federated learning approach using EfficientNet achieved an accuracy of 97.56% in detecting brain tumors. This research found that federated learning is valuable in brain tumor detection systems.

image colorization provides significant data handling advantages by completely eliminating the need for labeling. This research introduces advancements in the process of converting grayscale images into color using modern machine learning techniques. By utilizing the Lab color space, where luminance (L) is processed separately from the color channels (ab), this research focuses on refining and developing the Dif-EDUNet model (a Diffusion model using ED-UNet) to address the challenges in image colorization. Our experiments, including training with datasets: Coco-Stuff, DIV2K, Places365, imageNet and CelebA show that our results are very encouraging compared to the benchmark of the dataset in this issue. Grid company archive data has the characteristics of multimodality, mass and diversity, covering structured, semi-structured and unstructured data. These data have the problems of low utilization efficiency and serious information silo effect under the traditional management mode. In order to solve the above problems, this paper proposes a multimodal archive data intelligent utilization technology framework based on artificial intelligence deep learning. Firstly, the convolutional neural network is used to extract features from the image data in the archive to realize image classification and target detection; secondly, the BERT model and the Transformer structure are used to process the archive text data for semantic extraction and text classification; finally, the multimodal Transformer model is used to realize the joint modeling and information sharing of the cross-modal data to solve the problem of isolated and correlation analysis between the data. isolation and correlation analysis. Analyzing public attitudes on social media is crucial for opinion-mining systems. Stance detection aims to identify the attitude of an opinionated text towards a given target. Despite advances in conventional stance detection methods, handling sentences with ambiguous stances remains a significant challenge. Meanwhile, fuzzy logic theory can improve knowledge representation under uncertainty, but learning logical rules from samples requires a large corpus of annotated data, which is impractical for stance detection tasks involving numerous targets. Inspired by the impressive zero-shot performance of large language models (LLM) on commonsense reasoning tasks, we propose the LLM-enhanced Fuzzy Logic Fusion (LLM-FLF) Framework, which synergizes the strengths of LLMs and fuzzy logic to improve performance in complex reasoning tasks. LLM-FLF consists of two main components: Logical Schema Graph construction and Logic-integrated fuzzy relational graph convolutional network. Our approach achieves state-of-the-art results across zero-shot, cross-target, and in-target settings. Notably, it demonstrates a substantial performance gain, outperforming the best baseline methods by 5.1% and 5.5% on Semeval-2016 and VAST benchmark datasets in the most challenging zero-shot scenario. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.
