A surveillance system detects emergency vehicles stuck in traffic. This system helps manage traffic because the number of vehicles on the road has been increasing daily for years, causing congestion. This project implements Deep ConvNet2D (Convolutional Network 2D) and Computer Vision emergency vehicle recognition. We propose a CNN-based real-time image processing model for emergency vehicle detection. The signal control unit can be set to terminate the round robin sequence when an emergency vehicle is detected. A CNN trained on Indian ambulance images solves the problem. Tensor Flow, a Python library, was used for training. Our method detects and classifies emergency cars well. Existing systems use ANN algorithm, which is inaccurate and inefficient. The system uses Deep ConvNet2D Algorithm. The proposed real-time system is accurate. The proposed system loads and executes faster than the existing system. The system is efficient, scalable, and enhanced for complex use cases. © 2024 IEEE.

Moving target localization is a vital research subject of signal processing for the multistatic system. Previous closed-form solutions usually introduce redundant parameters to pseudo-linearize the measurement equations. This type of operation brings in extra estimation error, albeit it is partially corrected with an additional stage, which results in diverging the Cramer-Rao lower bound (CRLB) if the noise is large. We formulate a projection matrix to eliminate the nuisances and obtain the initial solution in terms of the least squares (LS) criterion. Then, the initial solution is modified in another stage according to the weighted least square (WLS) technique. The proposed estimator is asymptotically unbiased and can achieve the CRLB in both theory and simulations under mild noise levels, and it is superior to the other algebraic solutions when the noise is large. © 2022 IEEE.

In view of the increasingly prominent problems of water accumulation and inner wall corrosion of steel pipe poles in the power grid, a Digital signal processing (DSP)-based ultrasonic water accumulation detection system in steel pipe rods is proposed. The ultrasonic technology is used to pop up quickly and data analysis is strong. Water accumulation detection, timely detection of internal water accumulation and corrosion, and improve the operation and maintenance efficiency of steel pipe rods. © 2022 IEEE.

In order to prevent the TT&C antenna from having a significant impact on the aerospace measurement and control work due to the unexpected shutdown of the transmission chain, this paper collects vibration, noise, and rotational speed signals in real time, and obtains the characteristics of the traditional antenna system based on the physical model of the antenna transmission chain (reduction box, motor). After removing the random impact interference in the original vibration signal, the diagnosis can be made by analyzing the gear meshing frequency, meshing frequency multiplier and its variable frequency band of the vibration signal under multiple working conditions (the intervals of the side-band frequencies are equal, all of which are the rotation frequency of the gear shaft). The bearing characteristic frequency is obtained by resonance demodulation, and the fault type is judged according to the characteristic frequency. For the first time, the fault diagnosis and degradation trend analysis of the antenna transmission chain based on the physical model was completed, which solved the problem that the abnormal noise of the servo mechanism could not be clearly distinguished by the post personnel during the operation and maintenance process, and realized intelligent fault diagnosis and prognosis. © 2023 SPIE.

This paper presents a novel microring resonator (MRR)-based all-optical tunable temporal differentiator. By modulating the crystallinity of the ZnS-SiO2/Ge2Sb2Te5 (GST-SL) phase change material (PCM), the coupling regime of the MRR can be precisely adjusted, achieving a differentiation order (α) range of 0.7-1.3. Experimental validation with non-return-to-zero (NRZ) and return-to-zero (RZ) signal types demonstrates a strong alignment with theoretical models, maintaining an error margin below 7.3%, which confirms the device's high adjustability and stability. The proposed tuning mechanism enables low-energy, high-speed optical control of MRR states, contributing to optimized chip area and power consumption. Supported by the unique characteristics of the superlattice structure, this all-optical tunable differentiator offers promising potential for large-scale AI-driven photonic integrated circuits, particularly in applications such as optical analog computing, optical image processing, and optical neural networks. © 2025 SPIE.

High resolution range profiles (HRRP), which contain fine geometric structure information of targets, plays animportant role in the field of Radar automatic target recognition (RATR). In the actual application of RATR, radar may often capture targets that are non-cooperative, making it difficult to establish a comprehensive database, and traditional recognition algorithms are prone to misjudgment when facing unknown targets. Therefore, Open set recognition (OSR) is proposed to simultaneously recognize in-database and out-of-database targets. Considering the pose sensitivity of HRRP, minor changes in the target's pose can cause significant changes in the HRRP images, leading to a potentially dispersed distribution of samples from the same category in the feature space, which makes it difficult for traditional fixed decision boundaries in OSR to adapt. To address this, this paper proposes an HRRP open set recognition method capable of adaptively learning closed decision boundaries. Based on Hierarchical dirichlet processes (HDP), the method achieves adaptive clustering of subclasses under different categories according to the data distribution characteristics of each category, determining multiple small decision boundaries within each category, and allowing the decision boundaries to dynamically adjust according to the sample features. Finally, experiments with real HRRP data have verified the effectiveness of the proposed method. © 2024 IEEE.

With the wide application of one-key sequence control in intelligent substations, the testing of one-key sequential control and error prevention logic has become an important work before production. Due to the limitation of testing methods, most of the tests are conducted during on-site commissioning, which has a large workload, lower efficiency, and a high probability of missed testing. Therefore, this paper proposes a full-automatic test system for the intelligent substation based on GOOSE/SV signal simulation. It can automatically verify the error prevention logic and the one-key sequence control of the monitoring system through the combination of GOOSE/SV signals at different statuses, which provides technical support for the site to improve efficiency and safety. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

In the present paper, a AAS based control strategy has been implemented as an adaptive control technique. The transfer function representing the dynamics of a plant was obtained. The system was modeled in Simulink and simulated without being compensated. The output response in terms of concentration to unit step input revealed that a compensator was needed to get better transient characteristics performance. In order to achieve the desired response from the control System, in excess of the normal Actuating signal, an introduction of an compensating signal is proposed. This signal, which may be called the Additional Actuating signal (AAS), helps in controlling output in the control system, in the systems working environment. A Model Reference Adaptive controller (MRAC) was designed along with AAS, based on the MIT rule and incorporated with the plant. The Simulink model of the MRAC control for the plant is developed. The simulation results obtained showed that the modified controller provided meticulous and improved tracking error for the range of gain selected, with gain adjusted from 6 to 48 providing the most effective and meticulous tracking error performance. © 2022 IEEE.

In this paper, Rossler’s attractor and the circular shifting method are used to create a hardware-based encryption scheme that can be changed to protect speech communication. In order to ratify the limitations of software-based speech encryption schemes like low throughput, being prone to attacks, poor quality in the deciphered signal, an inadequate key space, and high computational overhead. An enhanced reconfigurable hardware-based speech encryption architecture based on a three-dimensional Rossler’s attractor that offers high randomness through highly sensitive initial conditions and control parameters. The keys for the diffusion process are generated by Rossler’s attractor, and by using circular shifting, the scrambling has been achieved. The proposed speech encryption scheme is validated by conducting various analyses, such as histogram and spectrogram analyses, correlation analyses, signal-to-noise ratio analyses, and key space analyses. The obtained results show that the chosen approach is extremely safe, offers peer-to-peer encryption, and works well for real-time speech communication. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

Sparse Ramanujan sequences (SRS) are very recently introduced sparse sequences derived from Ramanujan sums (RS). RS are integer-valued sequences proposed by famous Indian mathematician S. Ramanujan. They have some attractive properties such as orthogonality and periodicity. SRS also possess similar properties and in addition, these sequence elements contain only values from the set {1, 0,-1}. The transforms based on these sequences are also sparse which approximate signal to a fewer number of coefficients. This sparse approximation has many advantages in several signal processing applications like signal denoising and signal compression. SRS transform-based signal denoising is proposed in this paper. The denoising performance of SRS transform is evaluated using performance metrics like mean square error (MSE) and output signal to noise ratio (SNR) and compared with existing transform-based denoising techniques. © 2022 IEEE.
