Water and soil resources are crucial to agricultural growth and must be utilized more effectively. Precision agriculture (PA), an innovative approach in modern farming, integrates advanced technologies and data-driven methods to enhance agricultural practices and increase crop productivity while minimizing resource inputs and environmental impact. This review explores the many facets of precision agriculture, covering its methods, difficulties, and potential. This study attempts to provide the most recent data on PA technology and techniques for determining the most precise answer to diverse scenarios in agricultural operations. This study discusses research that has been done over the past five years (2018-2023) on approaches based on machine learning (ML) and deep learning (DL) for very accurate crop and weed yield predictions, as well as soil and weather forecasting. The analysis finishes with a discussion of precision agriculture's challenges and potential solutions. In PA, existing authors perform on the limited data and are more time-consuming. Issues with data quality, such as missing or inconsistent data, affect the reliability of analysis and predictions. And it affects the prediction accuracy. Unpredictable weather patterns can impact the effectiveness of specific PA evaluations. To overcome these issues, eliminate missing values and normalize the data using the min-max normalization method. And employ novel deep learning techniques such as Bi -directional convolutional long short-term memory and some optimization algorithms such as Northern Goshawk Optimization algorithm and Crayfish Optimization Algorithm to optimize the prediction parameters to achieve higher prediction accuracy with less computational time. This article describes how knowledge-based agriculture may raise output and product quality over the long run. © 2023 IEEE.

The walnut (Juglans regia), a temperate fruit crop, is often attacked by diseases brought about by bacteria, fungi, viruses, and pests and is a vital cause of financial damage to both domestic and foreign economies in India. Walnut diseases result in changes to biological indices, the collapse of leaf metabolism processes, and a reduction in the nuts' quantitative properties, such as size, weight, and legitimate yield. Darkened, poorly-filled kernels result from premature leaf loss. The disorder first manifests as brown to black, uneven, round patches on leaves. Eventually, these small regions grow and combine to form enormous rotten zones. Later on, the infections cause the foliage and fruits to become yellow and drop prematurely. Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT) has demonstrated enormous promise for sustainable agriculture in recent years. From Preharvesting to post-harvesting of crop & pest recognition and categorization to disease recommendation systems, it covers an extensive spectrum of applicability. This paper proposes the User-Friendly AIoT-based walnut crop leaf disease recommendation system (UAWCRS), an all-encompassing solution to support walnut orchards with disease recognition and management. With this proposed system, users just need to input the location of their orchards and leaf disease sample image present in walnut orchards. Based on the input information, the system can automatically gather other necessary information including leaf disease type, and causing agents, and it will recommend the most appropriate preventive measures for growing walnut crops to growers. in this study, an architecture centered around AIoT technology, one of the key components for supporting sustainable agriculture, is also suggested as a way to support and execute the proposed system. As we know, the decentralized management of agricultural production is inconsistent with the big market and circulation in our country. Facing this situation, we suggest strong enterprise construct third party agricultural public trade platform under the guide of the government in a way of market-based operation. The drive to build such platform from government, enterprises, peasant and agricultural organization was analyzed. The framework, function module and logic structure of the platform system were designed. In order to realize the sustainable development of the platform, we suggest the government should strengthen the function of the role in the platform construction and operation. Besides, we should improve the functional innovation, technological innovation and management innovation of the platform continuously to give full play to its economic and social benefit, and led the three sides that the government, peasant and enterprise to win together.

Very high adoption of mobile phones in developing countries can be used to empower people engaged in various sectors such as agriculture, fisheries and healthcare by providing timely information in right context, thus facilitating them to make informed decisions. Having identified lack of such information is badly affecting farmers in Sri Lanka we embarked on a project to develop a mobile based agriculture information system. We had to combine different theories and methods both from Requirements Engineering (RE) and Human computer Interaction (HCI) on a need basis to successfully gather the requirements. When we retraced the process we saw a definitive systematic pattern as to how RE and HCI can be used to enrich such an artefact;highlighting the strong interplay between RE and HCI. Recently Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) or Drones have gained enormous attention in applications like military, agriculture, industry, etc. One approach of controlling the operation of a drone is using hand gestures, which enables designing a low-cost system. However, the accuracy of such a system highly depends on the gesture recognition models. We can use a neural network-based gesture recognition model, which is a widely accepted image recognition scheme. In this work, we first design three deep neural network-based gesture recognition models: simple Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN), VGG-16, and ResNet-50 to uncover the best model for drone control. We evaluate the proposed models over our generated hand-gesture images in terms of their accuracy, precision, and complexity. The analysis reveals that each of the three models has its advantages and disadvantages while balancing between accuracy and complexity. For example, Simple CNN offers 92% accuracy on the testing set validation with the lowest validation loss compared to VGG-16 and ResNet-50. Thus, users can choose one of the proposed models to match their drone application.

With the recent rapid progress of computer technology, researchers have attempted to adopt artificial intelligence and computer networks to develop computer-aided tutoring systems. Meanwhile, some have also attempted to develop more effective programs to test and enhance the learning performance of students. This study surveyed the current theoretical basis and design principle and proposed a web-based knowledge aided tutoring system for vegetable supply chain. The main idea of this paper was focused on the interactive design and feedback control. The proposed concept was illustrated by the functions of chat system, discussion section, questionnaires and online learning record, etc.

Maize crops get hit hard by corn rust, a big disease that affects farming all over the world's food production. Traditional ways of finding diseases and putting them in groups are basic, but often limited by what people think about it. They don't work well when needed for a large number of cases. This study shows a new method using Multi-Layer Perceptron (MLP), which is deep learning (DL). It helps to correctly identify the degree of damage from corn rust disease. The study shows that the MLP model works well in finding and classifying disease stages using a set of 3500 and pictures from six levels. The MLP model was carefully made and taught to recognize small changes in disease levels. It puts importance on being right, exact, and remembering everything about it all the time. The machine reached 94.20% accuracy, showing it could be useful for people working with plants and those who farm. The MLP was faster, more scalable, and gave better results than other computer learning methods. It did a great job! This study aids the increasing mix of artificial intelligence and farming that's precise. It shows how DL can help solve tough agriculture problems. The results show that the MLP model can help manage crop diseases. It helps in quick and effective actions to stop these problems from causing more harm. For the future, we want to make the model stronger. We also plan on using it for other sicknesses and adding it to farming systems that check things in real-time right away. The research opens the door for better farming methods that are both green and save energy, driven by smart machines. © 2024 IEEE.

Plants affect economy, agriculture industry and climate of any country. Therefore it is very important to take care of plants. Like human being, plants are also infected by various disease that are resulted from virus, bacteria, and fungi. It is necessary to identify these diseases in time and cure them immediately to counteract the destruction of whole plant. In recent times, deep learning networks have attained tremendous improvement in classifying image and detecting object. Therefore, in our research, some pre-Trained Convolution Neural Networks (AlexNet, VGG16, VGG19) have been utilised along with transfer learning for detecting plant diseases. First of all, pre-processing technique has been applied to improve image quality and increase the accuracy. After the training process, testing has been done for validating the results. To train these models, PlantVillage dataset has been used which contains both diseased and healthy leaves. 80% data has been utilised in training step and other 20% has been used in testing. In this research, precision, recall and f1-score are also computed besides the accuracy. Using AlexNet, VGG16, and VGG19 96.63%, 95.05%, and 95.22% testing accuracy have been achieved respectively. As we can see that among all models the modified AlexNet performed best and got 96.63% as accuracy, 92 % as precision, 91 % as recall, and 91 % as f1-score. © 2024 IEEE.

The traditional agricultural machine design were represented as 2D drawing, which is difficult to modify, and also not intuitive in the solid way for the form and structure. Therefore, software, UG-NX3, was used to conduct parameterized design of stubble cleaner parts. The parts were designed associatively and assembled virtually. The structure of the whole machine and the spatial distribution of parts can be seen and analyzed intuitively. Under UG-NX3 circumstance, the designed 3D model can be transformed automatically to 2D drafting which is used in fabrication and production. The result proved that computer aided parameterized design can allow dynamical operation, preview and repeated modification of the design, reliably and quickly. Therefore, the optimum design efficiency of stubble cleaner is improved;3D modeling time and 2D drafting time is greatly decreased.
