A bioeconomic computer model was constructed to simulate biological and economic inputs and outputs for life cycle swine *** and relationships used in model were developed and verified by comparison with experimental results in the *** bioeconomic model was constructed by several modules such as growth and development,pregnancy,lactation,and replacement gilt *** result is:(1) the bioeconomic computer model was efficient way to describe pig production system and research factors’ effect and their interactions.(2) Traits in the model were:oestrus traits;mature weight and feed requirements of sows;longevity of sows;litter size;growth rate and daily feed intake of young pigs and fatteners;mortality rate of pigs.(3) Sow longevity is 2.12 years and yearly culling rate is 47.20%.Yearly farrowing sow is 2.08 and total numbers of farrowings per gilt is 4.62.(4) Average litter size total born is 11.23,litter size born alive is 10.40,litter size weaned is 8.80.

A NIR model was established to predict the volatile oil content of single particle red Zanthoxylum seed in this paper. With the characteristic of irregular surface, A single Zanthoxylum seed will reflect the great difference in response to spectrum signals the entire spectrum detection and exceptional sample rejection method were employed before model optimization. As a result, the NIR model for predicting the content of volatile oil were built up by 74 red Zanthoxylum seed and results indicated: the NIR model of the single grain Zanthoxylum seed had good stability and predictability (RSD<10%,RSD>3). Results of this paper suggested that NIR could be used as a quick and convenient method for predicting the volatile oil content of Zanthoxylum seed, which is useful for breeding and the quality evaluation of it.

This study takes one main production pattern of smallhold pig farming in Tianjin as a study prototype, deeply analyzes characters of informations about tracing inputs including vaccines,feeds,veterinary drugs and supervision test in pig farming, proposes inputs metadata, criteria for integrating inputs event and interface norms for data transmision, developes and completes identification of 2D ear tags and traceability information collection system of pig safety production based on mobile PDA. The system has implemented functions including setting and invalidate of 2D ear tags, collection of tracing inputs and supervision in the mobile PDA and finally integration of tracing events (the epidemic event,feed event,drug event and supervision event) on the traceability data center (server). The PDA information collection system has been applied for demonstration in Tianjin, the collection is simple, convenient and feasible. It could meet with requirements of traceability information system of pig safety production.

Fresh fruits and vegetables has become a public concern from the food security aspect. And the prediction of shelf-life loss under the fluctuated temperature becomes one of the key problems in food supply chain operation. So this paper identifies the impact aspects of produce decaying during distribution. For the key temperature factor, the process is divided into three phases: sorting, traveling and door-opening. Based on time-temperature function, a model of shelf-life loss of horticultural produce during distribution is developed by evaluating respiration rate of vegetables and fruits considering both the environment fluctuated temperature and vehicle vibration during traveling. Taking eggplant as an example, the numerical experiment result demonstrates that the average cost for ambient distribution is 2.8 times of the insulation way.

A comparison between several immobilization materials of AChE on surface of glassy carbon electrode(GCE) was presented. The immobilization methods employed crosslinking method with glutaraldehyde as a cross-linking agent and bovine serum albumin(BSA) as a protectant, AChE was immobilized on different membranes including nylon membrane, cellulose nitrate membrane and chitosan membrane respectively. The enzyme membrane was then fixed on the surface of glassy carbon electrode(GCE) with O-ring to prepare an amperometric biosensor for the detection of organophosphorus pesticides. The activity of immobilization AChE was detected by measuring the oxidation current of thiocholine, the results showed that the activity of immobilization AChE were all different with different membrane as carrier material. Compared with nylon membrane and cellulose nitrate membrane, chitosan membrane was obviously good. So chitosan membrane can be selected as immobilized AChE carrier material.

In pig production software and electronic systems are widely used for process control and management. Unfortunately most devices on farms are proprietary solutions and autonomically working. To unify data communication of devices in agricultural husbandry, the international standard ISOagriNET (ISO 17532:2007) was developed. It defines data formats and exchange protocols, to link up devices like climate controls, feeding systems and sensors, but also management software. The aim of the research project, "Information and Data Collection in Livestock Systems" is to develop an ISOagriNET compliant IT system, a so called Farming Cell. It integrates all electronic components to acquire the available data and information for pig fattening. That way, an additional benefit to humans, animals and the environment regarding process control and documentation, can be generated. Developing the Farming Cell is very complex;in detail it is very difficult and long-winded to integrate hardware and software by various vendors into an ISOagriNET compliant IT system. This ISOagriNET prototype shows as a test environment the potential of this new standard.

Hybrid linear analysis (HLA), partial least-squares (PLS) regression, and the linear least square support vector machine (LSSVM) were used to determinate the soluble solids content (SSC) of apple by Fourier transform near-infrared (FT-NIR) spectroscopy. The performance of these three linear regression methods was compared. Results showed that HLA could be used for the analysis of complex solid samples such as apple. The predictive ability of SSC model constructed by HLA was comparable to that of PLS. HLA was sensitive to outliers, thus the outliers should be eliminated before HLA calibration. Linear LSSVM performed better than PLS and HLA. Direct orthogonal signal correction (DOSC) pretreatment was effective for PLS and linear LSSVM, but not suitable for HLA. The combination of DOSC and linear LSSVM had good generalization ability and was not sensitive to outliers, so it is a promising method for linear multivariate calibration.

A quantitative technology based on near infrared spectroscopy (NIR) is proposed to detect pesticide (chlorpyrifos) residues in vegetables in the paper. There are three groups of samples (totally 100 unit, concentration from 0.1mg/kg to 4mg/kg) used in the experiment. The first group sample is confected to simulate vegetable juice to validate feasibility of the NIR quantitative method. As shown in this work, the first NIR model has good indexes (R2 is 0.9807, RMSEP is 0.149). Next the second group sample is confected by adding material standards of 1 mg/ml of chlorpyrifos to spinage juice. The second NIR model also has good performance (R2 is 0.9858, RMSEP is 0.207). The third group sample is confected as the second group to validate repeatability of the detection method based on NIR. The third model is also excellent (R2 is 0.9986, RMSEP is 0.0485). The exploratory experiment results indicate the detection technology of pesticide residue in vegetables based on NIR is feasible in the given conditions. But supposed to the natural vegetable samples that include pesticide residue, the method should to be validated more.

The paper reports the results of a study of the costs and benefits associated with the implementation and operation of HACCP in the Chinese slaughtering and meat product processing industry. The research results suggest that although some kinds of intangible costs are more regularly referred to, the major costs of implementing and operating HACCP in the industry are still relatively tangible, such as investment in new equipments and product testing. And although most respondents indicated that the costs of implementing and operating HACCP were approximately in accordance with their prior expectations, still a significant majority indicated that some costs exceeded their expectations. The results also suggest that the slaughtering and meat product processing enterprises do derive benefits from implementing and operating HACCP, and some of them have derived distinct benefits. The results have implications for the further adoption of HACCP not only in the industry itself but also in the Chinese food industry as a whole. Policy makers should take account of these research results and make more quantitative researches to offer more comprehensive and classified information to help food enterprises make decisions on HACCP implementation and operation.
