The authors have developed a shark ray robotic fish based on biomimetic approaches. The paper describes the newly developed robotic fish technology and its application to mechatronics in the space. According to experimental data, the model of fixed Joints stiffness in machine tools was built by least square of relative error. The new regression equations were obtained by regression analysis. Compared to the original equations with Gaussian least-square, the relative error of new regression equations is within 3.5%, which reduces by 12.5% and the mean absolute percentage error (MAPE) decreases by 18.0%, 12.4%and 19.0% respectively. © (2014) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

Dynamic precision measurement of transmission error involves many subjects such as optical, mechanical and electrical and computer at the forefront of technology has very important significance in the production. In order to achieve the accurate testing of motion error automobile gear, convenient and quick to obtain the gear tooth form error parameters, this paper research and design of the automobile gear error motion detection based on virtual instrument technology system, can accurately test automation, including visual inspection process, real-time detection information, read the data measured parameters, the analysis of characteristic curve, and other functions. © (2014) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

With the experimental data of positioning precision of high-speed precision NC machine tool, a linear mathematical model of positioning error is established. Based on gray model and Cauchy problem formula, a nonlinear mathematical model is also established. The two models are evaluated by fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method to find the optimal prediction model. Compensated with a selection of positioning error compensation model, the confidence interval of 0.95 of positioning error is less than 3μm, meets the design requirements of the machine tool. © (2014) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

Taking the power distribution network situation in China into consideration, this paper proposes a communication circuit applied in street lamp control system. It first summarizes the overall design scheme of the control system. And then it demonstrates the high reliability of outbound Two Way Automatic Communication System (TWACS) within one transformer area and the low-cost characteristics of corresponding circuit. Finally, it proposes the design scheme of the communication circuit which can process Power Line Carrier communication (PLC) signals and outbound TWACS signals simultaneously, and it is based on single MCU. This design scheme is conducive to improving the communication efficiency and success rate of the street lamp control system to a great extent. © (2014) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

The orientation dependence of piezoresistivity in graphene nanoribbons has been discussed by carrying out the first-principles simulation. Our original procedure of simulating piezoresistive properties was applied to the one-dimensional nanoribbon systems in conductor state. For the armchair-oriented model series, band structures hardly change due to any strain, and the gauge factors are small as the common characteristics for the armchair-oriented graphene nanoribbons. On the other hand, various values of gauge factors have been obtained according to model size for the zigzag model series because of the nonuniformity of band structures among the model series. Generally, the zigzag model series have sufficiently large values of gauge factors for practical application to nanoscale piezoresistor. We have found the clear defference of gauge factors with respect to the orientation of graphene nanoribbon, and it is expected that zigzag-oriented graphene nanoribbons will have potential for use in future MEMS/NEMS technology. © 2014 IEEE.

In this paper, By using a large common ABAQUS finite element software to simulate a hospital, s deep foundation pit excavation process in Changchun, Contrasting respectively pile-anchor retaining structure which had been adopted in the project with pile-strut bracing structure.
