A band structure composed of a square array of parallel steel tube with narrow slits is presented. The propagation characteristic of acoustic waves in this structure is investigated theoretically by the finite element method. In particular the acoustic-solid coupling is taken into account for accurate results. The transmission coefficients of the band system with different angles of the square tubes and slits width are calculated. A large continuous band gap at a low frequency range in a compound structure is obtained due to the interaction of peaks and gaps fordifferent Structural parameters. © (2014) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

A novel type of chiral methacrylamide derivative, N-[o-(4-phenyl-4,5-dihydro- 1,3-oxazol-2-yl) phenyl]methacrylamide ((R)-PhOPMAM), was synthesized and radically polymerized to the corresponding polymers in moderate yields. The polymerization characteristics and the chiroptical behavior of the resultant polymers have been examined in detail by using IR and 1H NMR spectroscopies in comparison with our previous observation. The polymers showed relatively high molecular weights(Mn=5000-10000) and large specific rotations([α] 25 D = -326.0° ~ -357.4°). © (2014) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

This paper briefly describes the design of a novel continuous variable transmission that can be used to adjust the transmission ratio according to the externally applied load. A detailed 3D CAD model has been proposed in order to investigate the engineering feasibility of the proposed design solution. Main design variables and constraints have been selected by referring to a practical application as a speed reducer on a small wind mill. A proper dynamic model has been developed within MSC ADAMS software. Simulation tests have been carried out and preliminary discussed to validate the proposed design solution. © Springer international Publishing Switzerland 2014.

This paper presents a procedure for the structural synthesis of a new planar leg mechanism. Several new kinematic schemes of a planar leg mechanism have been created by composing Evans mechanism and the pantograph mechanism. Insufficiency of traditional EB-type silk reeling machine was pointed out after analyzing its traverse mechanism. A novel traverse mechanism driven by non-circular gears with Fourier pitch-line was proposed in order to make up the insufficiency of the traditional EB-type machine. Kinematical mathematic model of this mechanism was established and an aided analysis and simulation software was compiled. A group of preferable parameters was obtained by means of human-computer interactive optimization method. New advantages of uniform roundtrip velocity and better silk winding shape were achieved by the novel traverse mechanism compared to the traditional EB-type mechanism. © (2014) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

In view of the authentication model based on token and password of traditional web cloud storage easily is forgotten or theft that raise questions about identity theft. This paper proposes a identity authentication scheme of web cloud storage based on fingerprint identification. Using the identity authentication model of fingerprint identification to verify web cloud storage users that satisfy people to the web of cloud storage security, reliability and convenience of the proposed requirements, effectively solve the problem of the resource of unauthorized access. The paper put forward three layers of c/s architecture that effectively improve the flexibility, scalability and efficiency of authentication system. And mixed encryption algorithm is put forward as two-way authentication identity authentication protocol improve system security and realize high transmission of huge amounts of data. Finally through the test and analysis of practical application proves that the security authentication based on fingerprint identification applying in the web cloud storage certification system is feasible. © (2014) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

In various kinds of natural disasters, earthquake is one of the most serious threats to the lifeline engineering systems. In the earthquake, except of the structure was destroyed, the function of the lifeline engineering systems was often subject to serious damages or totally loss, even caused fire or blood, or gave away poisonous gas and other series of major secondary disasters. To strengthen the function of the lifeline engineering and avoid or reduce the occurrence of secondary disasters, a demonstrated system of earthquake emergency auto-handling applied in water supply was built. The system was composed by the ED-1 type ground motion sensor module unit, the Panasonic FP-X C30R type PLC unit, The Kunlun Tongtai TPC7062K type unified touch screen unit and the multifunction water tower testing unit. The STA/LTA method and spectral intensity method were applied to deal with the distant earthquake and the near earthquake separately. Through theory and experiment analysis, the earthquake emergency auto-handling system could accurately measures the seismic records and performs the earthquake emergency auto-handling rapidly. © (2014) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

An organic light emitting device (OLED) with multilayer structure is reported. The devices were made of ITO/ m-MTDATA (45 nm)/ NPB (10 nm)/DCJTB (0.05 nm)/DPVBi (x nm)/ Alq:QAD 0.5% 20nm /Alq(50-x nm)/LiF(1nm)/Al, by doping combine with non-doping method. The ultrathin layer was introduced for the yellow emitting layer by using 4- (dicyanomethylene)-2-tert-butyl-6 (1,1,7,7-tetramethyljulolidyl-9-enyl)-4H-pyran(DCJTB). The ultrathin layer offered an attraction in that it allowed the easy handling process and accurate thickness control, it enabled high device efficiency with simple *** device shows the current efficiency of 2.79 cd/A at 12V, its maximum luminance is 17450 cd/m2 at 14V, respectively. © (2014) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.
