Existing time series correlation research methods often rely too much on overall statistical characteristics and ignore the dynamic changes of data in the time dimension, especially in the identification of trend turning points and complex correlations. This study proposes an innovative trend-aligned feature correlation matching method (TAFC), which breaks through the limitations of traditional correlation analysis. TAFC adopts a sophisticated data preprocessing process and introduces two unique metrics: trend overlap index metric (Q) and numerical correlation metric (P). The P metric effectively captures the numerical correlation between data by combining the normalized difference measurement (ndM) and the Pearson correlation coefficient. In addition, TAFC also introduces a custom granular smoothing mechanism to balance trend feature preservation and noise suppression, aiming to comprehensively evaluate the multi-dimensional and multi-granular correlation of time series data. This study uses simulated scenario data based on chi-square distribution and multimodal distribution for experimental verification, and the verification range includes 36 sets of simulation data. The results show that this method can significantly distinguish data sets with different trend characteristics. The introduction of granularity has been verified to help make trend features more explicit. At the same time, when 5% random noise is introduced, the algorithm error is controlled within 5.60%-12.24%. This study provides a novel and accurate method for computer-aided time series data analysis, which has important application value. © 2025 SPIE.

Traditional approaches typically flatten the process when checking the conformance of complex processes. However, this flattening approach can result in the loss of dependencies between objects, reducing the accuracy of the conformance check. This paper proposes an object-centered alignment optimization method based on the heuristic A* algorithm to address this issue. This method effectively improves the efficiency of object-centered alignment in complex scenarios by considering both heuristic search and actual cost. The experimental results demonstrate that, in comparison to existing approaches, the proposed method presented in this paper observably enhances the efficiency of alignment in complex graph structures, exhibits superior adaptability, and gains a better understanding of the relationship between object-centric process behavior and data. These results provide new ideas and methods for improving conformance checking, which are of great theoretical and practical significance, especially in dynamic and complex environments where the potential for application has been further validated. © 2025 SPIE.

Biofuel from microalgae is a promising alternative that can substitute fossil fuels because they are renewable and eco-friendly. The growth of microalgae is influenced by numerous culture parameters, and temperature is considered one of the vital growth factors among them. In this study, we developed a computational growth model related to irradiance related temperature for an outdoor operated Horizontal Loop Tubular Photobioreactor (HLTP) for a specific geographic location. The effects of direct and diffuse solar radiation on the Photobioreactor (PBR) temperature are considered in this model. The meteorological data associated with the geographic location has been collected for the simulation. We simulated the model by COMSOL Multiphysics and ob-served a temperature fluctuation between 24.85 ∘C and 38.45 ∘C throughout the PBR domain. The significant issue of temperature control is also suggested from this study. Over the simulated period, a uniform cell growth has been observed. The hydrodynamic behaviors of the suspension flow inside the reactor, radial and axial temperature distribution are also analyzed in this study. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

Manufacturing collaboration is dedicated to interconnecting formerly isolated factories under the drive of projects to enhance production efficiency. However, some data contains privacy concerns, and legal disputes among collaborating factories that are common. In this paper, we propose a searchable and privacy preserving data sharing scheme for manufacturing collaboration. Sensitive data is outsourced to a Cloud Service Provider (CSP), avoiding the need for multiple data encryption after the access control policy is updated. Blockchain replaces the trusted third-party for storing critical proofs due to its decentralized and tamper-resistant characteristics. Smart contracts, natively supported by blockchain, are employed for publicly trusted dispute judgement. The proposed scheme supports predicate hidden Boolean queries, while also reducing the communication overhead. Only the encrypted index fields are stored on the blockchain, ensuring traceability while minimizing storage and computational costs for resource-constrained blockchains. The CSP conducts massive matching over the ciphertext index records, providing integrity proofs. Security analysis affirms the scheme’s resilience against various potential attacks, and simulation results confirm its efficiency. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

In this study, the secrecy performance evaluation of hybrid RF/FSO communication systems over κ-μ fading and exponential turbulence channels are conducted. We analyse the secure information rate and evaluate the throughput and secrecy capacity of the system through simulations. The results indicate that the proposed hybrid system improves reliability and security by combining adaptive modulation, beamforming, and encryption to combat interference and secure data transmission. Geographical heat maps help to visualize the influence of environmental factors on system performance. Federated learning in hybrid RF/FSO systems have been investigated in detail through simulations and numerical results to show the considerable improvements in communication reliability and performance that the increased redundancy and robustness of the hybrid scheme provides. This helps gain valuable insights into a better design of wireless networks in the future by highlighting the benefits of hybrid communication techniques and simulation-driven design to enhance performance and security across diverse complex environments and conditions.

This paper explores how AI coaching can enhance decision-making in cyber risk management, focusing on overcoming cognitive biases like escalation of commitment and groupthink. These biases often hinder effective risk management by causing teams to stick to failing strategies and suppress dissenting opinions. Integrating AI into Rasmussen’s Risk Management Decision Model offers a data-driven, unbiased approach to improve decision-making. The authors used Network Oriented modeling to provide objective insights throughout the risk management process, from identification to mitigation. AI Coaching helps counteract biases such as overconfidence and confirmation bias, leading to more rational and informed decisions. The study emphasizes the importance of adaptive, knowledge-based reasoning, facilitated by AI, to handle complex, evolving cyber threats. The paper includes simulation experiments based on network oriented modeling demonstrating how AI coaching can effectively manage cyber-attack scenarios by mitigating groupthink and enhancing strategic planning. Different scenarios show the impact of AI activation timing and team familiarity with knowledge-based approaches on the effectiveness of the response. Overall, the research highlights the potential of AI to improve cyber risk management by providing continuous, unbiased support, reducing vulnerability to cyber threats, and fostering a more adaptive and resilient security posture. The stability of the bogie limits the maximum safe operating speed of the vehicle. The analytical methods are diverse and have their own characteristics. In this paper, the dynamics equation of the double-axis bogie model is established. The critical velocity is calculated by Matlab, and the reduced order is converted into an equation of state according to the characteristics of the mathematical model. The analog circuits of addition and subtraction, differentiation and integration, which are composed of resistive and capacitive elements and operational amplifiers, are mathematically equivalent. The equivalent circuit simulation and numerical simulation established by Multisim are compared and analyzed, and the simulation results are basically the same, which indicates that the equivalent circuit not only has the advantages of real-time parameter adjustment and fast calculation speed, but also has good equivalence and feasibility, which provides a reference to the research and analysis of mechanical system dynamics. © 2022 IEEE.

Reliability is a critical performance for airborn communication networks, and it is heavily influenced by network topology. Redundant designs might improve reliability, but the increased weight, cost, and complexity must be taken into account. This paper focuses on the reliabiltiy analysis of different topologies of network in airborn communication applications, and the comprehensive impact of redundancy mechanisms on its reliability performance. A network reliability simulation method based on the minimum path set algorithm and Monte Carlo simulation method is designed, and quantitative comparison and analysis of two frequently used airborn topologies and their dual redundancy forms are carried out. According to simulation results, the dual-loop topology is suitable for building the backbone network of the airborn communication system, and the dual-bus topology is suitable for some critical subnet systems with stricter reliability requirements. © 2022 IEEE.
