We propose a novel and effective method for segmentation of connected convex objects. In this method, we find the convex hull of the regions of the connected objects and then extract the convex deficient regions i.e., convex deficiencies which are then used for segmenting the connected objects at appropriate places. It is found that the shortest pairs of tips of different convex deficient regions are the appropriate places for segmentation. This method does not introduce any problem of over and under segmentation issues usually faced in many homogeneous region image segmentation methods such as Watershed segmentation. The proposed method has been applied in segmenting connected soyabeans grains and the connected grains are segmented at appropriate places as expected.

While there are many numerical solution methods for different problem classes, identifying the most efficient approach for a specific problem with defined parameter values entails conducting numerous comparative experiments. Usually, end users face difficulties when undertaking such experiments, which entail understanding the domain of applicability of diverse numerical methods and involve conducting a thorough comparative analysis of the results, which is time-consuming. We carry out the analysis of techniques and algorithms for managing a computational process to solve difficult or complex optimization problems with the use of computer systems. This research puts forward two approaches to streamline the utilization of existing applied software packages on modern multi-processor and/or multicore computer systems for multivariate optimization problems. One of the approaches entails the user actively interacting with the optimization program package in a dialogue mode. In contrast, the other approach entails packet control through a dedicated control program operating in automatic mode. The article discusses controlling the power of moving heat sources to heat a rod as per given rules and trajectories. The heat source control values are determined based on temperature measurements taken at nearby measuring points. An optimization approach is suggested for feedback coefficients of heat sources and measurement points in a rod's state. Current values of the powers of moving lumped sources are distributed along the rod in a certain neighbourhood of their current location. The problem of control synthesis is reduced into the parametric optimal control problem for a system with distributed parameters. To solve the problem using numerical methods, first-order optimization methods are proposed. Formulas were derived for the gradient of the objective functional, considering feedback parameters and the coordinates of measurement points. The test problem can be solved numerically using first-order optimization methods with the help of these formulas. The report will present the results of numerical experiments.

Automated control of the smooth operation modes of control-measuring andcontrol devices installed in unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) was proposed, methods of solving their tuning, calibration and testing issues were given. Development of the tested intelligent system and its information support was carried out to perform the mentioned functions. Considering that the technical bases of the modern era are covered by intellectual systems, the article presented by us is quite relevant and covers the requirements of the modern era. As the existing metrological characteristics of the control-measuring devices (CMD) in service deteriorate over time, they become unusable and, as a result, the UAV loses its control. Therefore, the article envisages the prevention of such an emergency situation, the control of the normal state of the metrological characteristics of measuring devices, the implementation of their automated calibration, and thus there is no need to apply similar devices as substitutes for CMD in UA.

The article describes the process of creating a class schedule in educational institutions with a classical education system. The requirements and restrictions for the class schedule are given. A model for interactive scheduling of classes in an educational institution is proposed. Interactive scheduling, which is based on the "traffic light" principle, frees the user from the control of all hard restrictions and warns about violations of soft restrictions, which ensures that there are no conflict situations in the schedule. All this is done in interaction with the user, who is an active participant in this process. The user sees how the schedule is being compiled and can intervene in this process at any stage. The developed system ensures the creation of an acceptable schedule and its optimization according to the priorities of user-selected criteria. The intellectual capabilities of the program built into the system control the admissibility of the duration of classes, the start and end times of classes, dividing groups into subgroups, combining groups into streams, and taking into account the division of classes into upper/lower weeks.

Computational Geometry is a branch of computer Science that focuses on algorithms solving geometric problems. Computational Geometry has applications in various fields such as Modern Engineering and Mathematics, computer Graphics, Robotics, VLSI Design, computer-Aided Design, Molecular Modeling, Metallurgy, Manufacturing, Textile Design, Forestry, and Statistics. Graph theory is useful in defining problems and determining structural relationships. Hundreds of interesting computational problems are stated in graphs. In this study, the term of a circuit that more tightly covers the vertex set of the Euclidean complete graph has been defined, and an algorithm has been proposed to find this circuit. The complexity of the proposed algorithm is O(n). The proposed Boundary Point term in our presented work given in [5] allows for the expansion of the defined set of Boundary Vertices, enabling a more tightly construction of the Circuit Covering the Graph. The proposed algorithm can be applied to geometric design problems.
