Cloud technology provides solutions to a variety of software platform and data accessibility issues. However, as the industrial revolution 4.0 progresses, innovations such as healthcare 4.0 smart buildings, IoT enabled transportation services, and many other new paradigms necessitate more secure data management solutions. Meanwhile, Fog Computing (FC) arises as a supplement to cloud computing, providing a variety of solutions to issues such as low latency and real-time data transfer. However, security concerns remained, and to address such issues, a regressive access control mechanism approach study was necessary. This article addresses methods to access control mechanisms for preserving privacy and confidentiality during communication in a cloud-fog computing environment. The research goal is to investigate various access control approaches used in the recent past for fog computing enabled environments. © 2024 IEEE.

The proliferation of Internet of Things (IoT) devices has introduced significant security challenges due to the increased attack surface and the inherent vulnerabilities of interconnected systems. This paper proposes a novel security framework that integrates Artificial Intelligence (AI)-infused software and Virtual Replica Models, or Digital Twins, to enhance the robustness of IoT systems. The framework leverages AI-driven anomaly detection and predictive analysis to identify potential threats in real-time, while Digital Twins provide a virtual replica of the IoT ecosystem for continuous monitoring and simulation-based threat assessment. By fusing these technologies, the proposed solution enables proactive security measures, ensuring rapid response to cyberattacks and continuous system optimization. Extensive simulations and experimental results demonstrate the system’s ability to reduce attack detection times by 30%, while improving overall system resilience and minimizing false positive rates. This approach provides a scalable and adaptable solution for securing IoT infrastructures in various industries. © 2024 IEEE.

This research paper delves into the domain of Speech Emotion Recognition (SER) within software engineering, employing Deep Learning techniques for emotion analysis. The study critically evaluates two prevalent methodologies for emotion analysis, emphasizing the significance of SER in enhancing Human-computer Interaction (HCI). A comprehensive Multiscale 2D-CNN network is developed and rigorously tested on two established datasets, EMODB and RAVDESS. The model demonstrates exceptional performance, achieving peak accuracy rates of 0.945 and 0.920 on the EMODB and RAVDESS datasets, respectively. These results not only validate the model's efficacy but also underscore its robustness and generalizability. The findings hold substantial implications for the advancement of emotional intelligence in computing and HCI systems. © 2023 IEEE.

GRC and IT-GRC are currently playing an essential role and receiving a lot of attention. GRC has a role to help companies ensure the attainment of business goals and prevent losses that can cause company losses. This research was conducted to carry out a bibliometric analysis and literature review on GRC and IT-GRC to determine research trends and topics, as well as the current information technology discussed in available research on GRC. In this research, we propose a future GRC research agenda that is related to research topics, industries that need to be supported, and what modern information technology can be used to encourage the successful implementation of GRC, to increase the role of GRC in increasing company resilience in facing turbulence, increasing business, and helping companies in achieving sustainable growth. © 2024 IEEE.

The IoT is a network of physical objects embedded with sensors and software, connecting and exchanging data over the internet. With over 7 billion connected devices, experts predict growth to 10 billion by 2020 and 22 billion by 2025. Machine learning ML technologies are advancing quickly, with new algorithms and approaches emerging regularly. In this paper, a review is carried out that helps provide insights into their effectiveness in the current landscape. Different ML techniques are categorized and evaluated based on how they address diverse challenges. Reviewing current ML techniques helps in understanding their strengths and limitations in combating novel attack vectors. Later on, a comparative analysis of these techniques is conducted based on performance metrics. A comprehensive review identifies gaps in current research and practice, highlighting areas where ML techniques might need further development or improvement. © 2024 IEEE.

Data imbalance threatens a medical dataset where the dominant class is typically viewed as unfavorable. In contrast, the minority class is t supposed to be the positive one, affecting the performance of the machine learning prediction. This aims to examine how resampling strategies in Machine Learning (ML) have recently been used in medical data sets. Many researchers used the preprocessing stage's data-level approach to resample the imbalanced medical data. Thirty-two sources were reviewed in which data level techniques of balancing the imbalanced data were applied to medical datasets spanning 2015 to 2022, with oversampling methods outperforming the under-sampling methods. © 2023 IEEE.

To address the issue of challenging detection tasks for tiny and medium-sized objects because of backdrop confusion and inadequate feature representation of steel surface flaws, this paper proposes an efficient feature-enhanced, feature-fused SAM-YOLO detector based on the YOLOv8 model. It adds a new feature fusion module MSFF based on the original YOLOv8 model and replaces the bottleneck module in the C2f module with a feature enhancement module SACM. These two modules improve the enhancement and detection of defect edge features, local area sensing, and the network capability of multi-scale feature fusion, and the effect of SAM-YOLO is verified through several experiments on the NEU-DET steel surface defect dataset. The mAP50 of SAM-YOLO reaches 77.9%. mAP50:95 reaches 49.1%, exceeding the original YOLOv8 baseline model by 6.9% and surpassing several other benchmark models. To confirm the legitimacy of each SAM-YOLO model module, ablation tests were conducted on the model in the interim. © 2024 IEEE.

This study examines the growing number of satellites, this paper explores the importance of satellite tracking and highlights NOAA-15 for information transmission and weather monitoring. It offers a low-cost configuration for receiving circularly polarized signals, using a software Defined Radio (SDR) at 137.62 MHz and a V-dipole antenna. The directional characteristics of the V-dipole maximize capture efficiency by improving signal reception during particular satellite orbits. The flexible SDR, in particular the RTL SDR USB dongle, is used to detail signal decoding for Automatic Picture Transmission (APT), allowing for effective processing and tracking. High-quality APT photos are produced by this hardware-software integration, highlighting NOAA's crucial role in international weather forecasting. The study also emphasizes how simple and inexpensive it is to use the V-dipole antenna to receive NOAA weather satellite signals. © 2024 IEEE.

Urbanization has led to a significant rise in traffic congestion, which in turn has worsened air pollution and contributed to the problem of illegal parking. These issues not only harm the environment but also decrease the efficiency of urban systems. A potential solution involves better vehicle management and optimized use of parking spaces. Our approach leverages software and sensor integration to allow users to locate nearby parking spots, reserve them, and make cashless payments via a website. The system includes OTP verification for secure access to designated parking spaces, while sensors provide real-time updates on slot availability, enhancing security and making the parking process more convenient and efficient. © 2024 IEEE.
