The sintering tail section images collected relying on the machine vision technology, then through digital imageprocessing, can effectively reflect the pros and cons of the production of sinter quality. But the sintering machine tail part working conditions are very bad, have the massive mist and dust, causing the sintering machine tail section image which gathered in aspects of the brightness, the contrast gradient and the clarity have the very tremendous influence, which causes the image degenerating and brings difficulties to image characteristic extraction and pattern recognition. Based on image degeneration mode in the dust environment, uses one kind of method to remove the image dust influence effectively. First the restore formula and the direct transmission capacity formula are derived through the degenerated model and the dark channel prior. Next acquires the dark primary color of image through the dark channel prior knowledge, and estimates the atmospheric light ingredient. Then calculates the depth map according to atmospheric light ingredient and the direct transmission capacity formula which are estimated to. Finally restores the dust image based on the depth map and the restore formula. Simulations in the Matlab platform demonstrate this algorithm can efficiently improve degeneration phenomenon of sintering machine tail section image and enhance the clarity of image.

image segmentation is not only one of the hottest topics in digital imageprocessing, but also an important part of computervision applications. As one kind of image segmentation algorithms, fuzzy C-means clustering is an effective and concise segmentation algorithm. However, the drawback of FCM is that it is sensitive to image noise. To solve the problem, this paper designs a novel fuzzy C-mean clustering algorithm based on multi-objective optimization. We add a parameter. to the fuzzy distance measurement formula to improve the multi-objective optimization. The parameter. can adjust the weights of the pixel local information. In the algorithm, the local correlation of neighboring pixels is added to the improved multi-objective mathematical model to optimize the clustering cent. Two different experimental results show that the novel fuzzy C-means approach has an efficient performance and computational time while segmenting images by different type of noises.

Experts extract this information to monitor the operation of the machine to ensure safety, efficiency and economy of operation. This paper describes the analysis of microscopic particles generated by wear mechanisms by using computervision andimageprocessing techniques. The aim of the work is to develop an automated system to classify wear particles and thereby predict wear failure modes in machines. An interactive image analysis system is devised, which is used to process and store the quantitative information of particle shape and edge details. Further analysis on the stored data is also described which permits systematic morphological analysis of the wear particles.

The implementation of several pyramid methods on programmable graphics processing units (GPUs) in recent years led to additional research interest in pyramid algorithms for real-time computer graphics. Of particular interest are efficient analysis and synthesis filters based on hardware-supported bilinear texture interpolation because they can be used as building blocks for many GPU-based pyramid methods. In this work, several new and extremely efficient GPU-implementations of pyramid filters are presented for the first time. The discussion employs a new notation, which was developed for the consistent and precise specification of these filters and also allowed us to systematically explore appropriate filter designs. The presented filters cover analysis and synthesis filters, (quasi-)interpolation and approximation, as well as discontinuous, continuous, and smooth filters. Thus, a toolbox of filters and their efficient implementations for a great variety of GPU-based pyramid methods is presented.

The security is key concern in our daily life. A key protected access control module is an elementary part of all security systems. It allows only the authorized people to enter into a restricted zone. This work focuses on the design and development of a digital code lock system with display for students demonstration purpose. Being designed for illustration purpose, the system has easily accessible inputs and outputs to each module. In order to keep the system cost effective with an ease of reimplementation. The low cost and easily market available discrete analog components are employed. The digital part is kept configurable with the help of a microcontroller based implementation. It allows an easy alteration of the master code in order to improvethe system security. The digital module implementation is done via C language. The system implementation is described. Face swapping in images is a process where an input identity is transformed into a target identity while preserving the former's facial expression, pose and lighting. In this paper, a new face swap method using autoencoder networks is investigated, which can capture the two different image sets to be trained. The images from two sets are unstructured collection of people's photographs. This approach is enabled by framing the face swapping problem in terms of style transfer, where the goal is to render an image in the style of another one. We design a new autoencoder network that enables the processing to produce photorealistic results. Moreover, in low resolution video, the proposed method can achieve face swap by combining autoencoder network with pre- and post-processing steps.

A major goal of many manufactures is minimizing unscheduled downtime caused by equipment breakdown. To achieve this goal, an automatic defect detection system for the equipment can be employed. This paper presents a machine vision application for detecting defects in a traveling grate conveyor in pelletizing industry and similar industries. For this purpose, a video stream of the conveyor is captured by a camera and sent to a computer. In the computer, the image of each grate is extracted from the stream and then by processing its image over a sliding window, the damaged parts are detected. The detection rate of the proposed method is more than 98%.
