In this paper, a neural network approach is proposed and implemented for the determination of the laser stripe center in vision inspection system. The resolution is improved to the sub-pixel level and the speed of imageprocessing is also improved obviously. Higher resolution makes it possible to improve measurement precision.

Industrial camera is an important electric device in the machine vision, which serves as an interface between the computers and the real world. There is an increasing demand on the usage of high-speed, miniaturization, portable, lowpower, and smart industrial camera. In this paper, we novelly design and develop such a kind of camera for capturing andprocessing color images from the real world industrial environment with mixed lighting conditions. Besides, a color imageprocessing flow has been embedded in the camera to gain high quality images. For the seek of the robustness of the proposed camera to lighting variations, we improve the algorithm of automatic white balance (AWB). The improved algorithm achieves a sound white balance processing result on real world images. Finally, we realize all the processing flows and algorithms in the embedded system and apply it to practical applications.

These images can be efficiently represented as a space-variant image by segmenting the images using a superpixel representation. Whilst superpixel representations offer advantages in terms of reduced processing requirements they present challenges in further processing as many existing imageprocessing techniques require regularly distributed image data. The suitability of regularized reconstruction in autocalibrating parallel magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is quantitatively analyzed based on the choice of the regularization parameter. In this study, L-curve and generalized cross-validation (GCV) are adopted for parameter selection. The results show that: (1) Presence of well-defined L-corner does not guarantee an artifact-free reconstruction, (2) Sharp L-corners are not always observed in GRAPPA calibration, (3) Parameter values based on L-curves always exceed those based on GCV, and (4) Use of a predetermined number of filters based on the local signal power can result in a compromise between noise and artifacts as well as better visual perception. It is concluded that appropriate use of regularized solutions facilitates minimization of noise build-up in the reconstruction process, without enhancing the effects of aliasing artifacts.
