Time consistency of each node and each core is one of the kernel problems that must be addressed to promote the development of many-core cluster system that keeps the distributed system in step, and it is the basis of performance evaluation. In this study, a new model of hybrid time synchronization architecture was established to improve the precision of internal clock synchronization of a many-core cluster and the accuracy of time. First, some clock synchronization method was compared for clock synchronization model decision. Second, a high precision time acquire method based on was explored. Third, a hybrid clock synchronization and time acquire architecture on cluster system was designed to enhance the time precision and internal clock consistency. Finally, the architecture was implemented on a Zynq SoC and Epiphany many-core processor combined platform. An experiment was conducted to evaluate the precision and accuracy of this architecture. The result shows that the hybrid architecture achieved a higher level time precision and internal clock consistency than common clock synchronization method like NTP. And result demonstrates the promising application of the proposed architecture in study many-core cluster system and in supplying reliable time reference for the evaluation of distributed system performance.

Maintenance is one of the main factors of production process. The aim of maintenance strategy is not just to repair and maintain equipment in a good condition, but to implement efficient maintenance solutions to ensure the good function while minimizing the cost of maintenance. Predictive maintenance strategy start by collecting data from sensors, analyze this data and predict the malfunction or failure in the system. As a result, with this information, we try to find the optimal solution for maintenance. Prognostics Health Manager (PHM) offers significant benefits for maintenance. It predicts the future behavior of a system as well as its remaining useful life. However when factories have a large number of asset with mobile and stationary equipment in different geographically sites. Making decision and collecting data become difficult to be done. In this study we interested in stationary equipment geographically distributed;and we propose a decision post prognostics framework to help engineers to take the optimal decision for maintenance operation in order to minimize maintenance cost. In order to enhance the post-prognostics decision, we propose a framework based on Iot technology for real-time sensing to collect data from equipment and Cloud computing paradigm for resources management and information processing.

Cloud computing is a paradigm of both parallel processing and distributed computing. It offers computing facilities as a utility service in pay as par use manner. Virtualization, selfservice provisioning, elasticity and pay per use are the key features of Cloud computing. It provides different types of resources over the internet to perform user submitted tasks. In cloud environment, huge number of tasks are executed simultaneously, an effective Task Scheduling is required to gain better performance of the cloud system. Various Cloud-based Task Scheduling algorithms are available that schedule the user's task to resources for execution. Due to the novelty of Cloud computing, traditional scheduling algorithms cannot satisfy the cloud's needs, the researchers are trying to modify traditional algorithms that can fulfil the cloud requirements like rapid elasticity, resource pooling and on-demand self-service. In this paper the current state of Task Scheduling algorithms has been discussed and compared on the basis of various scheduling parameters like execution time, throughput, makespan, resource utilization, quality of service, energy consumption, response time and cost.

Virtual network management is a basic component provided by cloud computing system. In cloud environment, the fact that VMs in the same subnet are located in different hosts, the traffic of VMs attached to different users should be isolated, the VM would be migrated to other hosts makes network management different from that in physical network. technology like overlay and SDN is usually introduced to establish a reliable and efficient virtual network management scheme. However, there are many drawbacks such as flexibility and hardware costs in most schemes introducing technology above-mentioned. We addressing these problems by designing a scheme on the hyper-visor layer of physical hosts based on overlay and SDN technology, which means the tradition virtual network can be easily transformed to our system without purchasing new devices supported OpenFlow or VXLAN(a kind of technology in overlay) protocol. Besides additional functions like monitor and traffic mirror can be customized by users' needs for the system's flexibility and scalability the SDN technology endowing. We also design a distributed Virtual Router(DVR) on each host to solve the general problem of traffic between internet and Intranet concentrating in most schemes. The experimental evaluation shows that our system has achieve the basic intercommunication under the situation of tenant isolation and its performance of communication between internet and Intranet acts obviously better than that in OpenStack scheme for our DVR design.

The new emerging applications in 5G network, in the context of the internet of Everything (IoE), will introduce high mobility, high scalability, real-time, and low latency requirements that raise new challenges on the services being provided to the users. Fortunately, Fog computing and Cloud computing, with their service orchestration mechanisms offer virtually unlimited dynamic resources for computation, storage and service provision, that will effectively cope with the requirements of the forthcoming services. 5G will use the benefits of centralized high performance computing cloud centers, cloud and fog RANs and distributed peer-to-peer mobile cloud that will create opportunities for companies to deploy many new real-time services that cannot be delivered over current mobile and wireless networks. This paper evaluates a model for fog and cloud hybrid environment service orchestration mechanisms for 5G network in terms of energy efficiency per user for different payloads.

Virtual Cluster refers to the basics of providing distributed parallel system for tenants by sharing resources in cloud data center. Allocating physical resource for virtual cluster is known as virtual cluster embedding problem, which is a critical issue that affects the performance of virtual cluster and resource utilization of the system. In order to effectively reduce the runtime of virtual cluster embedding and improve the revenue/cost ratio, this paper proposes a topology-aware multipath virtual cluster embedding algorithm (TMVCE). Virtual cluster topology information, mainly including the degree and closeness two factors of topology network, is used efficiently for the measurement parameters of VCE. According to extensive experimental tests and the comparison of correlative algorithms, it is obvious that TMVCE obtains a higher embedding efficiency and, to some extent, improves the revenue/cost ratio.

In recent years, Cloud computing has emerged as a new paradigm for delivering highly scalable and on-demand shared pool IT resources such as networks, servers, storage, applications and services through internet. It enables IT managers to provision services to users faster and in a cost-effective way. As a result, this technology is used by an increasing number of end users. On the other hand, existing security deficiencies and vulnerabilities of underlying technologies can leave an open door for intruders. Indeed, one of the major security issues in Cloud is to protect against distributed attacks and other malicious activities on the network that can affect confidentiality, availability and integrity of Cloud resources. In order to solve these problems, we propose a Collaborative Network Intrusion Detection System (C-NIDS) to detect network attacks in Cloud by monitoring network traffic, while offering high accuracy by addressing newer challenges, namely, intrusion detection in virtual network, monitoring high traffic, scalability and resistance capability. In our NIDS framework, we use Snort as a signature based detection to detect known attacks, while for detecting network anomaly, we use Support Vector Machine (SVM). Moreover, in this framework, the NIDS sensors deployed in Cloud operate in collaborative way to oppose the coordinated attacks against cloud infrastructure and knowledge base remains up-to-date.

Digital revolution led to shift from the industrial age to ICT age. Cloud computing is one of the important innovation of the digital revolution. It is a new paradigm for hosting and delivering services using standard protocols of the internet. It also provides the capability to utilize scalable, distributed computing environments within the confines of internet with minimal management effort while keeping a single coherent system view. Last few decades are witness of fastgrowth in demand of high computing power. The trend in demand of computing power caused the establishment of large-scale data centers that are situated at geographically apart locations. The consumption of electrical energy by these large scale data center causes high operating cost and releases large amount of CO2. We present comparative study among various optimized resource utilization techniques to mitigate the problems such as resource underutilization, high energy consumption, and large CO2 emissions.

Cloud computing is a well known computing technology that deals with large capacity of information or data using highly available geographically distributed resources that can be accessed by user via internet in terms of pay per use basis. In such a way, tasks should be scheduled efficiently such that user specified QoS constraints are satisfied. Task scheduling, which is NP-complete problem, plays an important role in cloud computing. In this research work, Big Bang-Big Crunch (BBBC) technique is used for scheduling of independent tasks in the cloud environment aiming to reduce makespan. The performance of the proposed approach is evaluated by comparing it against GA using CloudSim tool. Experimental results show that the BBBC approach outperforms GA approach in terms of makespan.
