This article investigates a class of consensus problems of leader-following multi-agent systems with unknown external disturbance. A disturbance observer for a type of a leader-following multi-agent system with unknown external disturbance is designed to estimate external disturbance. An aperiodic intermittent distributed event-triggered control protocol is proposed on the basis of the estimated external disturbance information and local relative information. By constructing an appropriate Lyapunov function on the basis of Lyapunov stability theory, sufficient conditions for achieving the consensus control of the leader-following multi-agent system with unknown external disturbance are obtained. Furthermore, the designed aperiodic intermittent event-triggered control protocol is demonstrated to be able to avoid Zeno behavior. Finally, a numerical example is given to verify the feasibility of the theoretical results. © 2024 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).

A distributed Denial-of-Service attack (DDoS) involves overwhelming a network with a large amount of traffic that aims to disrupt the normal functioning of a network. DDoS attacks can cause a variety of problems, such as website downtime, loss of revenue, and damage to a company's reputation. One of the main challenges in dealing with DDoS attacks is detecting them in a timely and accurate *** learning algorithms can be trained to recognize patterns in network traffic that are indicative of a DDoS attack, and they can also be used to distinguish between legitimate traffic and attack traffic. The paper discusses a method for improving the performance of neural networks by utilizing chaos-based algorithms for detection and prediction of DDoS attacks. Moreover, this paper talks about using chaos-based optimization to speed up the process of training a model using neural networks. This technique uses a chaotic sequence to set the initial weights and biases of the model, which can result in a wider range of random starting points. This can help the model to find the best solution faster. © 2023 IEEE.

The accuracy of weighing systems is easily affected by sensors, conversion circuits, temperature, and other factors. Aiming at the problem of significant temperature impact during the operation of the weighing system, which leads to a decrease in weighing accuracy. This article proposes a BP neural network method for temperature compensation of the weighing system to further improve the weighing accuracy. Firstly, a weighing system is built based on STM32 to collect system temperature and weighing data. Then, a BP neural network is built using MATLAB, and the calibration data is imported to train the optimal model of the BP neural network. Finally, the model parameters are imported into an embedded system to achieve real-time temperature compensation for the STM32 weighing system. The experimental results show that the accuracy and stability of the weighing system have been improved, and it has good application value. © 2024 SPIE.

Software-defined networking is a mature technology that has been included into several networks and new designs including 5 G and 6 G. It is a paradigm change that adopts dynamic software-driven models instead of old hardware-centric paradigms, resulting in network infrastructures that are nimble, efficient, and safe. Additionally, SDN complies with the Network Function Virtualization Framework's virtualization design. SDN must, however, work harmoniously for a few years with the global distributed control of TCP/IP that has evolved over time. The standard chores of routing, load balancing, quality of service, security, and privacy need to be resolved, among other things. In addition, the initial centralization of SDN presents unique difficulties and problems for dispersed control that set it apart from conventional IP networks. The ability of the algorithms and protocols used in SDN to scale the network by adding new devices, respond quickly in real time, and use organized automation to make the network more flexible and adaptable are the three main requirements that need to be met in order for the algorithms and protocols to be proven effective. In addition to a critical analysis and comparison of multiple algorithms with the goals of routing, rerouting, load balancing, traffic optimization, and reducing rerouting delay, this paper offers a theoretical assessment of the most recent SDN optimization techniques. This paper also discusses important algorithms that can provide feasible solutions to solve problems in large systems or multi-scale routing. © 2024 IEEE.

Given the increasing penetration of distributed renewable energy, the distributed energy trading among prosumers can improve the uptake of renewable energy. But some market subjects are prone to default due to their selfishness, such behaviors will affect the economic benefits of other prosumers. In this paper, we investigate distributed energy trading blockchain model driven by the reputation. First, this paper introduces a reputation scoring model to describe how each prosumer performs the contract. Second, a transaction matching mechanism based on reputation ranking is adopted for increasing the priority of high reputation users. Finally, a price update strategy based on adaptive aggressive is employed to reach a contract quickly. The proposed model is tested on the IDE-Remix and Ganache platforms. The simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed distributed energy trading model. © 2022 IEEE.

Under the guidance of the national policy, various kinds of distributed energy technology have developed rapidly. distributed energy equipment has gradually become a nonnegligible participant in the park-level microgrid. However, different property rights also lead to insufficient utilization of the distributed energy equipment, which has become an important factor impeding the application of distributed energy technology. In this paper, a distributed energy sharing model is proposed. Firstly, the framework, participants and process of the model are illustrated. And then, the cost allocation method between energy trusteeship users and the benefit allocation method between energy sharing users under the model are established. Finally, a case study is put forward, which verifies the feasibility and correctness of the proposed model. © 2022 IEEE.

Those contributions were then invited to participate in this supplement for the following journals of BMC: BMC Bioinformatics and BMC Genomics. In the present Editorial in BMC journal, we summarize the contributions that provide a clear overview of the thematic areas covered by the IWBBIO conference, ranging from theoretical/review aspects to real-world applications of bioinformatic and biomedical engineering.

The number of individuals within a group is crucial information for the correct association, robust tracking, and situation awareness. Traditional methods using the range profile's peaks are not suitable when targets are densely distributed. The target number estimation algorithms based on monopulse systems have high computational complexity, while those based on array systems require additional sensor resources. To address these issues, this paper proposes a method based on multiple incoherent observations using one monopulse radar. By combining multiple incoherent observations from a single sensor with information theoretic criterion, this approach can estimate the number of targets even when the resolution of a single sensor is insufficient. The effectiveness of the algorithm is verified through simulations, and the algorithm's performance is analyzed. © 2024 IEEE.

With the rapid development of the energy internet, the coupling of different forms of energy is continuously strengthened. Integrated energy system (IES) provides a new way for wind power consumption. This paper introduces integrated demand response (IDR) into the demand side of IES, excavates the demand response potential of load side from two aspects of time shift and energy replacement, and smooths the load curve. At the same time, the two-stage distributed robust optimization model based on Wasserstein distance is used to deal with the uncertainty of wind power output. Aiming at minimizing system operation cost, the optimal unit scheduling strategy under the worst probability distribution of wind power output prediction error is found. Finally, the dual theory and affine strategy are used to transform the model into a mixed integer linear programming problem, which is easy to solve. Numerical examples are used to verify the effectiveness of the proposed model. © 2022 IEEE.
