Aspect Oriented programming (AOP) aims at addressing the problem of the crosscutting concerns (e.g. logging, validation, transaction etc.), those functionalities that are scattered among several modules in a given system. Aspects can be defined to modularize such concerns. In this work, we focus on the most popular MVC pattern in software architecture pattern, and introduce the aspect-oriented programming ideas into the MVC model with Unified Modeling Language (UML), also we propose a model of aspect-oriented MVC pattern, which extracts crosscutting concerns of going through the system to form an aspect layer and uses the configuration file to statement the point of weaving. To assess the effects of the idea on MVC pattern, an actual system is carried out. In the end, we report the results of the pattern of the feasibility and superiority.

On-chip memory, in the form of (hardware-managed) cache,(software-managed) scratchpad memory (SPM) or some combination of both, is widely used in embedded systems. Most high-end embedded systems have both cache and SPM on-chip since each addresses a different need. Caches allow easy integration and are often effective but are un-predictable. SPMs are more energy-efficient than caches since they do not need complex tag-decoding logic. In addition, SPMs provide absolutely predictable performance but the programmer or compiler must schedule explicit data/instruction transfers between the SPM and off-chip main memory in an embedded system. In today's industry, this task is largely accomplished manually. The programmer often spends a lot of time on partitioning data and/or instructions and inserting explicit data/instruction transfers required between the SPM and main memory. Such a manual approach is time-consuming and error-prone. Obtaining satisfactory solutions for large application programs by hand can be challenging. Furthermore, hand-crafted code is not portable since it is usually customized for one particular architecture. This talk introduces a compiler approach, called memory coloring that we have recently developed to automatically allocating the arrays in a program to an SPM. The arrays are frequently used in embedded applications such as image processing and signal processing. The novelty of this approach lies in partitioning an SPM into a pseudo register file, splitting the live ranges of arrays to create potential data transfer statements between the SPM and of-chip main memory, and finally, adapting an existing graph-colouring algorithm for register allocation to assign the arrays in the program into the register file. This compiler-directed approach is efficient due to the practical efficiency of graph-colouring algorithms. We have implemented this work in the SUIF/mach SUIF compiler framework. To improve maneuverability, dynamic configurability and functional integration level of scene simulation svstem, the metbod on how to integrate Vega Prime into MFC programming framework, and how to forward messages coming from windows of Vega Prime to message loop of application program based on MFC are proposed in this paper. Furthermore, switch for mulhple scenes in a simulative system is introduced detailedly, and basic principle about how to design functional module based on MFC programming framework for configuring scene simulation system is analyzed. On the basis of above methods and object-oriented technology, scene simulation system is established. This designing method for scene simulation system has much advantage: scene simulation system has excellent extensibility;the structure of software is more simple and flexible;generality of this architecture of software is good. The effect is favourable in practical application.

In this paper we present the Picasso programming language and the underlying design philosophy. Our goal is to provide programmers working with distributed embedded real-time systems with a tool to manage the complexity of this class of systems. The proposed tool allows easy and safe changes of the system software and hardware at any time during the lifetime of the system. This means that even during operation the system can be changed safely. This is not only important for enhancing the design process but is also necessary for a class of systems that need to be in service at all times. We have chosen to call this approach Change-Orientation. The most characteristic properties of the language are that it is graphical and that it shows time explicitly. All processing is described as functional transformations. These transformations are called processes. A very direct way of implementing a process is possible because the semantics of the description maps directly on the computation model of the processor.

Today's digital signal processors (DSPs), unlike general-purpose processors, use a non-uniform addressing model in which the primary components of the memory system-the DRAM and dual tagless SRAMs-are referenced through completely separate segments of the address space. The recent trend of programming DSPs in highlevel languages instead of assembly code has exposed this memory model as a potential weakness, as the model makes for a poor compiler target. In many of today's high-performance DSPs this non-uniform model is being replaced by a uniform model-a transparent organization like that of most general-purpose systems, in which all memory structures share the same address space as the DRAM system. In such a memory organization, one must replace the DSP's tagless SRAMs with something resembling a general-purpose cache. This study investigates the performance of a range of traditional and slightly non-traditional cache organizations for a high-performance DSP, the Texas Instruments 'C6000 VLIW DSP. The traditional cache organizations range from a fraction of a kilobyte to several kilobytes;they approach the SRAM performance and, for some benchmarks, beat it. In the non-traditional cache organizations, rather than simply adding tags to the large on-chip SRAM structure, we take advantage of the relatively regular memory access behavior of most DSP applications and replace the tagless SRAM with a neartraditional cache that uses a very small number of wide blocks. This performs similarly to the traditional caches but uses filess storage. In general, we find that one can achieve nearly the same performance as a tagless SRAM while using a much smaller footprint. To integrate the programming model and the executing model, the procedure is introduced into the design of multi-core micro-architecture, and the method-centric(Metric) multi-core architecture is proposed. A functional simulator for Metric multi-core architecture is designed and implemented. The simulator is implemented with the object-oriented programming methodology, and is composed of three groups of components: functional simulator, ISA emulator and auxiliary components. The experimental results show that the implemented simulator is effective and correct.

A different language is different vision of life. Micropython is the open source scripting language and an interpreter that expresses the concepts in fewer lines of codes. This high level language possesses clear and expressive codes which is designed to respond to the actions. It is a lean and efficient implementation of python 3 programming language that comes with the quick language feedback and is optimized for interactive input to run on microcontroller or embedded systems. This functional and dynamic programming language is ported to ESP8266 board. The DHT11 sensor is interfaced with ESP8266 board to sense the ambient conditions like temperature and humidity. The dht module which is confined to DHT sensor is being imported to perform its programming task. The OLED display used here have dimensions of 128×64, it has an I2C interface and can be driven by SSD1306 driver. Firstly, the library for the SSD1306 driver of the chip needs to be imported. The ESP8266 board have two connections, one with the DHT11 sensor to sense the temperature and humidity, and the second with OLED display to show the collected information of temperature and humidity from DHT11 sensor on to the screen. These all are implemented using lean and efficient Micropython language and thus it is easy to control hardware and connected devices using Micropython.

The conditions arising for the realization of visualization-oriented applications have recently changed. Especially in pervasive environments, where predominantly small and limited devices are present, the need for a distributed realization of relevant visualization processes is present. Due to the impact of user interaction at runtime, issued by e.g. pervasive applications, animations needs to be describable by developers in a functional manner, relative to an animationpsilas current state. Therefore, we propose a framework for the development of animation-centric visualizations in distributed environments. Decoupling the development of animations in complexity and representation from their final visualization is thereby achieved by the modelling and realization of a distributed visualization architecture and an according functional animation related programming pattern. Finally, we describe stEVE, a case study for the suitability of our framework aiming at the demonstration of biologically inspired processes in next generation computing systems.

The problem of the translation of λ-terms into combinators (bracket abstraction) is of great importance for the implementation of functional languages. In the literature there exist a lot of algorithms concerning this topic, each of which is based on a particular choice of a combinatory basis, of its cardinality, of an abstraction technique. The algorithm presented here originated from a modification of the definition of abstraction given by Curry in 1930, and has the following interesting properties:i)it employs a potentially infinite basis of combinators, each of which depends on at most two parameters and is, therefore, directly implementable;ii)it gives compact code, introducing a number of basic combinators which is proportional to the size of the expression to be abstracted and invariant for one and multi-sweep abstraction techniques;iii)it gives the result in the form R IM1..Mn, where R is a regular combinator expressed as a composition of basic combinators, I is the identity combinator, and M1,..,Mn are the constant terms appearing into the expression subjected to the translation process. It comes out that a slight modification of the algorithm yields a combinatory equivalent of Hughes' supercombinators. © 1987, Springer-Verlag.
