Optical nanofibers are versatile platforms for exploring nonlinear optical phenomena due to their strong light confinement and robust evanescent fields. In this paper, we investigate evanescent stimulated Raman scattering in a silica optical nanofiber submerged in different nonlinear liquids at 1064 nm. Through numerical analysis, we identify the optimal nanofiber radius to maximize modal Raman gain. Our study considers ethanol, perfluorohexane, and cyclohexane as representative nonlinear liquids, examining modal Raman gain relative to nanofiber radius, nonlinear liquid refractive index, and Raman gain coefficient. Results show that nonlinear liquid choice significantly impacts optimal nanofiber radius and achievable Raman gain. We also highlight potential applications of stimulated Raman scattering in optical nanofibers, including wavelength converters, signal amplification, and integrated photonics devices for telecommunications and sensing applications.

In this paper, we extend the Sparse Identification of nonlinear Dynamics (SIndy) technique to identify the Poincare maps of switched nonlinear systems and to investigate the behavior of their limit cycles. The proposed approach is an effective way for studying the stability of switched systems. Moreover, it can be used to stabilize switched systems and it can be adopted for wide range of applications in many domains from engineering to biology. The proposed method was applied to the Alpazur oscillator with three s and showed satisfactory results.
